im sorry but fuck this place, ive been here 6 times and guess what all 6 times the music was great no lie about that but honestly the management who owns this place and the security guards suck ass. everytime i go here i get into a fight with security because of bullshit. last time i went some guy punched me in the face and ran and as soon as he hit me up all the bouncers jumped me. mind you it was 3 that jumped me but i managed to get all 3 of them off me so i can go after my attacker who btw i found out paid the bouncers to protect him after he hit me because i told him to back off my gf. now i called management left several messages with them telling them i will sue their asses because the next day i had marks all over my arms, none to my face thank you god, but management never called me back. i will never ever return to this place. full of stupid ass pretty boys who live with their moms but spend their checks on bottles, weak ass security guards and honestly fuck this place. fuck the management, i hope they read this, place is garbage. very unprofessional. music is great i will give them that but thats it. sorry for being brought out my character but fuck the owners, and fuck the punk ass security.

Go to spot when you do not feel like traveling or all your plans go to s***.

I like Melodia, coz everytime I go it’s pack with women, I meant birds. Let me stop hatin… lol if u don’t like Melodia than das ur opinion, God Bless America… fun is where u make it. It was ghetto, but is in Inwood/​da Heights, so wat do u expect? It’s great if u could dance Spanish music, drinks are expensive not gonna front. I did dance with one of the go-​go girls dat was fun. But its an aite type of place.

the DJ was spinning good stuff,
i hate the crowd, the posers, the hood rats who don’t know how to act when they hear a certain song come on, the dry humping is horrible and the strippers they have are horrifying i had nightmares for days
they were giving out free shots that night, i had one horrible
me definitely thinks not!

This place is a typical crappy ghetto spot that allows rampant underage drinking, is a total poser scene, and attempts to price everything as if you were in the heart of the Upper West Side or out in Long Island. Hate to break it to these people, these places are terrible and totally not worth it. Only came here because of a friend’s graduation party and the only plus side to this place is the music.
Skip this place, no need for the drama or the high prices in a ghetto-​ass establishment.

I heart Inwood.

I love going to Melodia on Saturdays it has an older crowed love the décor and dancing to a wonderful mix of salsa, merengue, reggae, pop and hip hop. They also have wonderful Dominican Appetizers

This review is for Friday night. I would have given this place 3 or 4 stars because the music was HOT, the drinks were strong, and the dance floor was big– if it wasn’t for the following:
1. It’s 19+, and apparently there is no dress code since guys with jeans and sneakers were getting in. Despite the crowd not exactly being «dressed to impress,» everyone was pretty laid back and there was no drama or fights.
2. They make everyone pay a $ 10 cover, regardless if they’re over 21 or under. I’m sorry, but I should not be paying the same cover as a kid who can’t even buy alcohol.
3. They say that everyone on the guest list (which I was) is free before midnight, but they get around that by holding the line until after midnight so you can’t possibly get in free. (Literally, there was NO ONE in the club when we got in a few minutes after 12.)
I would go again if it was the same dj (Danny S) and it was a regular 21+ night.
