No frills. But also, not a lot of extra chatter. Very calming, professionally done pedicure.
And best of all — the quiet!

A french mani/​pedi with a 20 minute massage is $ 69. Actually a little high compared to most places and especially for a place that is kind of a dive. That said, they did an okay job and the woman doing my pedi was very thorough.
Very quiet during the weekday in the afternoons. Nice technicians. Place appears kind of dinghy and dirty but it’s okay/​it does the job.

While waiting on our reservations for a restaurant nearby, my friend and I decided to get manis. The lady doing my mani was okay, but the lady working on my friend didn’t speak English. My friend wanted her ring finger painted a different color. The lady kept forgetting and had to take off the polish and re-​do more than once. So after my mani was done the lady turned on a mini fan left. I looked around for a nail dryer and didn’t see any so i assumed they didn’t have any.
After a few minutes i decided to get my Eyebrows done. Big MISTAKE… I’m currently in school to be a wax specialist so I was a little nervous… I should’ve done it myself. She double dipped the wax stick (which is a big no-​no), she blew on the wax before applying it to my face. Blowing on wax is disgusting and not in code with the ny laws… your mouth contains the most bacteria and blowing on it contaminates the wax. Afterward she decided to thread where she put the string in her mouth and then applied it to my face. I’ve never had threading before and told her NO!!! So she tweezed instead, then rubbed oil on my eyebrows with her bare hands… well she didn’t wear gloves the whole time… of course i burned instantly, but it went down a few days later.
So after the bad wax, she directed me and my friend to the discretely looking hand dryer… my friend was pissed because she was sitting with her hands near the mini fan the whole time.

I’m a girl, and my guy friend and I went here today and got manis and pedis. Great little place, great little ladies, great little price. Need I say more? Oh, yeah, and great little throw back to early ’90’s hip-​hop music with the soundtrack.
