Mealpass pickup JUNE17, 2016 of their BASILGINGERCHICKEN&NOODLES from the ‘Chinese & Thai’ section of their menu(the other is Indian) left me with a huge pool of sauce and a very bad meal. Friendly guy, though.

Nanking Express is a truly unique spot for Chinese, Thai and Indian food. The choices for Indian takeout in the neighborhood is very limited so I wanted to try out Nanking Express. After a long weekend, my wife and I were hungry and decided to order some takeout. The lamb biryani is my favorite as well as the chicken tikka. The naan breads are home-made and quite good and fresh. You can also order brown rice with your meal which is fresh and nutty. The kitchen and the restaurant is clean. The service is fast and friendly and on top of that, the price is just right.

Walked in because I saw a «we serve halal» sign. It’s always a blessing when you see that sign and it’s not a halal cart. The restaurant itself is very Nice with clean tables and comfortable leather seats. You order food at the front, pay and they bring your food to you. I got vegetable Hakka noodles and my friend got the chicken kabab. The noodles could have used a little more seasoning and less grease. There were a small amount of broccoli that was undercooked so I didn’t eat it. On the other hand the chicken kababs were delicious and will have us coming back for more. They were served with onions, a slice of lemon and two different types of chutneys. I will be going back to try more of there Indian cuisines. Also very friendly and helpful staff!

This is my to-go-to place for Indian Food. I love the service, the place is clean and inviting. The location is perfect for me cause its right next to my station. The food here is great. My favorite here are the Biryanis, if you are not into Spicy curries, the Chicken Tikka misala is really good too.

Best spring rolls I’ve ever had in the city — reminds me of the ones I’ve eaten in Singapore — homemade and perfect — crunchy and delectable!

I usually order elsewhere or walk right past shops like this one, but on a sunny day when the front door was open the smell of curry and ginger combined with pleasant music wafted out of the door of this exceptional establishment. Upon looking in the window I saw a group of construction workers eating in total silence(always a good sign) and approached the counter. The woman immediately handed me the lunch special menu and I ordered the basil ginger chicken. 6 minutes later the most flavorful fresh meal I have ever had was served to me. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were well put together. The establishment is clean and the menu relatively comprehensive, offering both Indian Thai and Chinese flavor profiles– with seafood lamb beef vegetarian and plenty of descriptions if you’re unfamiliar. I have been back since Saturday and I would recommend this for a fast delicious meal!

I enjoyed an order of Thai shrimp fried rice… now I was shocked that this was a that Chinese Indian place and was skeptical but desperate and hungry lol. My rice was delicious and spicy. I would like for them to get some better shrimp but other than that… I really enjoyed this place. Quick and cheap!

Just had the chili chicken with Jasmin rice and wow! did not expect it to be that good. This place is clean and the costumer service is great. What else can I say? Come here for lunch or after work… sit, relax, eat and reflect on what you just ate ^_^

Pricing is very good, you get a good ration for what you pay. Indian food is good, more traditional than Indikitch. Naan bread is great. Place is a bit small and can get crowded at peak hour. Manager/Owner is usually present and he is open to feedback.

Day 11 of Mealpass found me picking up Basil Ginger Chicken & Noodles at Nanking Express. I tried really hard to love this meal, but the noodles were a bit too greasy for my taste. Overall it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t «omg you have to try this» good either. Portion size was great. Three stars for middle of the road performance.

I walked in late night yesterday for take out and the new owner Depak was very nice. The food was made within a very reasonable time period. I ordered the vegetarian steamed dumplings and the Kai Chi(drums of heaven). Hands down some of the best Chinese, Thai and Indian fusion food I’ve had in the U.S.

I was intrigued by the restaurant since it was close to work and was cute and clean. As I approached the counter the $ 9 lunch specials also sold me so I figured this was a win-win situation but sadly I was mistaken. The concept was there but there was absolutely no seasoning in any of the food I had! I had the chili shrimp combo with fried rice and it was utterly disappointing. It was over sauced which I don’t find to be a problem with a rice dish but there was too much sauce considering the lack of flavor and seasoning. The egg roll was greasy and bland and I’m not entirely sure what it was stuffed with. So disappointing and there’s no doubt in my mind that I will not be returning

I came in here yesterday around 2PM. The lunch special was still available so I ordered the chili fried shrimp. I was told the had had jasmine rice available so I chose that to go with my shrimp dish. I told the person it was to stay. I sat down and was brought a ceramic plate with three ceramic containers which held three different sauces. This happened about 2 minutes after I ordered. About 3 minutes after that I was given my food in a compartmentalized to go container. The rice was in one part, the chili fried shrimp was in a another and the vegetable spring roll was in the last one. The shrimp tasted and had the texture of being fired in a tempura batter before being added to the vegetables and sauce. The vegetables were green bell peppers and onions and some actually Szechuan peppers or Thai bird chilies, The food was spicy, hot, some sweetness to balance.
