I’ve got nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I also don’t believe this is anything to write home about. The service was great and the food was prepared quickly so it’s a good spot for lunch. The food itself was good. My friend ordered the power plate which was far better than my veggie and hummus wrap. Although I must say the hummus is excellent. I also had a lemonade which was quite refreshing and perfectly sour. All in all, this was a perfectly pleasant experience and I would go back again.

Ok, so I thought I liked Nanoosh, however, that changed after visiting their Madison location today. I enjoyed the chicken and hummus wrap on my last visit, so I thought I would try it again today. TOTALBUST. I understand that«organic» chicken might be a little higher in cost, but you don’t have to be stingy with it. Geeez. The wrap was basically a hummus wrap w/some mixed greens and very few pieces of chicken. I can’t justify spending $ 10 on a wrap from their place again. Thanks, but no thanks.

I cannot say enough about this place! I love the food and the price is great. Delivery is always on time. I recommend the Tavern Tuna Salad and the Lentil Soup! Even in the restaurant is nice and clean.

I got the powerfood plate with power greens, chicken shawa, hummus, mediterranean salad, and green tahini sauce. They also give you a side of warm whole wheat pita bread.($ 12.19 total) The best thing about this meal was how clean it tasted. All of the ingredients were fresh and healthy. It’s been a few hours since I ate and I still feel great and light. It was my first time there and the lady at the counter was very patient and friendly in explaining how the menu worked. It’s a bright open space and there’s lots of seating on the inside. I gave a star off because they skimped on the chicken — considering they charge you $ 2.25 extra for it I would assume it would be at least an average size serving but it was barely any chicken.

I’m a huge fan of this place. Eat here probably once a week. It’s westernized Mediterranean food that is tasty and predictable. If you’re looking for super traditional, go elsewhere.

Came here today for lunch — I’ve had the food here before and enjoyed, so went back. Ryan, the cashier, and a dark-brown haired girl in the kitchen had no manners whatsoever — I accidentally said I wanted for here and not to go, and they apparently are easily amused and thought this was worth literally POINTING and LAUGHING in my face about it. I am pretty shy and rarely stand up for myself, and I looked him in the eye and said«That was incredibly rude and do not appreciate that.» He literally laughed MORE and said the most lousy tiny«sorry» I’ve heard in my life. Have actually never experienced that kind of rudeness before in a take-out place(literally making fun of me to my face) and will never go back. 100% disgusting behavior. Usually like the food too, but this time, the food was incredibly watery with barely any hummus… super strange experience, could have been a regular, will never go back to this location.

Went here today with my Mom. They were offering free samples of their yummy hummus which was was delicious so we decided to have lunch here. I had the falafel with red pepper hummus and the Mediterranean salad with feta. It was so good! Nice portion served with pita bread. My mom had the vegetable and hummus wrap which she loved. This is a great spot for fresh food and its served quickly! Prices are great too!

Nanoosh. WTF. I was hungry Nanoosh. You broke my heart Nanoosh. How are you in business? How? I don’t get it. The food was horrible. Oily substance on top of heavy horrible hummus. I had no idea wtf I was eating. It looked like vomit or child poop, the diaper kind. This is nowhere near middle eastern food. What are mushrooms doing in my hummus Nanoosh? Huh Nanoosh? Can you answer me that. When has anyone put mushrooms in hummus. I guess I’m at fault Nanoosh. I fell for your attractive marketing. Walked past you a couple times, your union Square location. Looked like people were having a good time. They’d smile and laugh while eating, I’d smile and laugh back imagining myself sitting on those little Nanoosh chairs and tables, screaming, «Look at me I’m the falafel king of New York, Thank You Nanoosh! THANKYOU!». You broke my heart Nanoosh. You literally just took a crap on my chest. Never again. Goodbye Nanoosh.

Really good, fresh, authentic but healthy. Lots of good vegan and gluten free options too.

Good spot for lunch in midtown. Ample seating. The line moves fairly quickly and food comes out fast. Taste profile could use a bit more pizazz.

I always get the avocado lentil salad with a big scoop of hummus on it with their citrus dressing. I am so happy with how fast, delicious, fresh and healthy this place is! The mint iced tea is always refreshing on a hot day too. The manager during the day seems very organized and helps to get orders out quickly. I’ve eaten here 2x in the past week!

I’ve walked by this place for a long time but for some reason never went in and I love Mediterranean food. What can’t the chickpea do? So I finally went in there yesterday for late lunch at around 3pm. I’m one of those people who eats at off hours to avoid crowds. The place is big and clean and the counter person was nice as I took my time looking at the menu. I got a falafel bowl with faro, hummus and feta. As I waited for my food I saw one of the guys in the back come out as he was cutting up those plastic six pack rings. Right there I was hooked on Nanoosh. I mentioned how cool that was to see him do that and he said they are instructed to do that. If you’re not aware please cut those six pack holders. They get stuck on wildlife and kill and maim animals. Major points for any place that has that directive in their company procedures. The food was excellent! We all need more faro! They bake their falafel balls not fry but they do have a good texture and great taste. Hummus was fresh tasting and it also looked like the pita was whole wheat. The bowl looks small but it’s packed. I was full. Looking forward to trying other things on their menu.

I order delivery from here at least once a week. Based on food quality and taste, Nanoosh deserves five stars but I’m giving three because of an experience I had. The manager, Milagra, was so rude to me today that I felt compelled to write this review so that they owners would know. I called today to order a large soup for delivery. Milagra, who answered the phone and took my order, said very rudely«That is not the minimum order!». I replied«Well how much is the minimum order?» She went on a tirade to say that soup only is not enough for delivery. So again, I asked«What is the minimum?’(I am happy to order more food to make the minimum!) She then continued to have a conversation with someone else while I was just sitting there on the phone and finally shrieked that the minimum for deliver is $ 12. I want to note that a delivery minimum is NOT listed on the Nanoosh website. So how was I expected to know? Every other time I’ve ordered, my orders have been well over $ 12. And as a regular customer, I certainly don’t deserve to be treated badly and shamed for placing a small order. I called back and thankfully another girl answered to take my order. She was very courteous and warm, which is what I normally experience from the staff there with the exception of Milagra.

I work in the area and am always on the hunt for a good lunch spot that’s not Guy and Gallard, home of the $ 6 small soups… I’ve been to Nanoosh a few times but will NOT be returning after today. This place is for the birds. I ordered a chicken Shawa bowl, plus olives, no hummus. Seems easy. The person at the counter said, «ok, that’s a the chicken Shawa tzatziki bowl». I said ok, cuz they are the expert, right? $ 10 later, back at work I open my food. Cold dusty looking flavorless chicken. Olives. A mountain of tzatziki sauce. It’s a damn shame when Guy and Gallard have better food and more reasonable prices. lol Never again, hunty. Never again.

Probably the best hummus I’ve ever had. And when I asked the cook what they put in it, I was surprised when he told it contained only chick peas, lemon, salt, and olive oil! No garlic, which I thought was essential for making hummus. Well, simplicity I suppose is best… and I didn’t even notice the absence of the garlic.

My friend recommended this place for lunch when my cousin was in town and we went there last week. It’s a nice, «fast food», Mediterranean restaurant. It’s very bright, open, and inviting restaurant. I got the hummus powerfood plate and it was pretty good. It’s deceivingly filling. The pita was large and OK(to me, just your average pita bread), but the hummus was decent — I got the roasted red pepper. I just felt a little underwhelmed in the overall amount of food, meaning I wish I got more than just simply hummus and pita for the price I paid. However, it was tasty, healthy, and I’ll come back again for lunch.

Well, I came with a lot of expectations. A friend told me they serves the best humus in NYC. I had falafel and humus. It was so-so. I had better falafels as well as humus. No salt, no taste in both. Picles and humus? Honestly, not a good combination! Yuck!

I think the best advice I can give for this place is to make a special order. Due to my crazy class schedule, I was getting lunch at 11:45, well before the lunch rush from all the nearby offices. You can see into the prep area of the kitchen(which is cool) and of course I checked it out. What I saw was all the employees half-making a bunch of wraps, probably so they could bang them out quickly when the rush hits. This makes sense in terms of efficiency, but it also means that you could have a wrap that has had hummus soaking into it for a half hour. The food itself was mediocre. I got the new chicken wrap, which was kind of like ground chicken that was sort of a «layer» in the final product. Not very chickeny. The whole thing was sort of bland in general, which is kind of disappointing too.

There are few things I find unforgivable in my food — and biting down on a big rock is one of them. My tooth is throbbing and potentially cracked, and half of my farro and chicken plate is sitting uneaten in the trash. I am also baffled by how a rock ends up in a plate of food. A protesting delivery man? A filthy kitchen? A complete and total lack of quality control? None are good options. The assistant manager I spoke to, «Misty», was completely unapologetic, unable to figure out how to work their phone system, and added insult to literal injury by giggling and overall acting like she thought the fact her restaurant’s food contained gravel was pretty damn funny. I will never be eating here again, and suggest you avoid as well, unless you have lots of time and money for post-meal dentist’s visits
