Extremely overpriced. Slow service. After 15 minutes of waiting for eggs over easy was told they don’t have home fries. Offered tomatoes or French fries instead. Asked for no potatoes but reduced price– refused to reduce price. Left, having paid $ 5 for a small orange juice

Somethings just need to be said: i’ve never been here but when my best friend visits new york i dont expect him to come back stating that he was kicked out of a place because 3 over priveledged white girls wanted their seats. And to think the owner was the one to approach my friend and kick him out. Do not support this business or else your supporting their moral standings. Disgusting.

If 1950’s style discrimination a la Rosa Parks is your thing this is the place for you. My partner and I got kicked out the café by the owner/manager because a group of other privileged patrons complained and liked our table seat better(overheard them). These people arrived AFTER we did. Owner/manager came up to us with a completely unrelated excuse as to why we couldn’t stay in the café. So we decided to leave and his ideal patrons got their seat.

Before going to the MET, my friend and I decided to get something quick to eat. It looked like a nice enough place so we decided to try it out. The food was actually quite good. I had the beef burger with fries. Patty was nicely cooked and the fries were crispy. I also had a lemonade to which my surprise was freshly sequeezed and was really awesome. My main issue was that the menu did not entail whatsoever about the prices when you add(in my case) A slice of cheese to your burger and a side of fries, so when the check came, they just stuck another price. EVERY restaurant I’ve ever been to ALWAYS includes the price with the added side not to confuse the customers. Also the lemonade was almost 4 dollars for a cup which is quite expensive but I didn’t mind paying that because it was really good. And not going to complain about the service, it was quick. Over all it hit the spot, but I don’t think I’d come back to eat here.

0 stars!!! This place is absolutely disgusting. The cook was unhygenic, while we were waiting for our check we saw him stick his hand into his pants to scratch his behind right in front of us. And of course he didn’t wash his hands before he resumed to making some french toast. The service was terrible. We waited 10 mins for the check. They try to charge me $ 9.50 for a bagel with plain cream cheese. Even though we asked for food to go they made us dine in instead because they didnt have to go cups for our ice coffee and orange juice. DON’T WASTEYOURMONEYANDTIMEHERE!!!

We were looking for a place to have breakfast before going to the Met and found this corner café. It was ok and the prices alright for the area. I had a cranberry bagel with cream cheese and chamomile tea, while my friends had the lox with bagel and some fruit salad. The food was delicious and the service was fast.

Don’t bother. Invest your money elsewhere. It’s overpriced… the service is rude, no refills of soda and the food is mediocre. And the Greek options on the menu are shoved down your throat by the waitress. So be prepared to order Greek salad and pretty ordinary spinach pie. And to top it off, 20% tip is automatically added for a party of 3. Making it an $ 80 lunch for sandwiches and no alcohol. Crazy.

Sehr leckere Burger. Nach einem Besuch im Metropolitan Museum of Art und Hunger auf eine Kleinigkeit zwischendurch, absolut zu empfehlen. Ist vom Haupteingang die Straße gegenüber Richtung Madison Av.

Can I give a 0? I wanted to stop by in this place and ask for a coffee with my friend. No customers were there. We wanted to sit outside for a second on the tables to drink the coffees and he said no, we needed to order more food — which I totally understand. So we asked him how much we’d need to order to be allowed to sit outside(calmly and genuinely, not like in a sarcastic way by any means) and he berated is by saying we need to buy more(which we already understood) and that he paid $ 4000 for those tables — which I don’t understand how that’s our problem. We were genuinely going to buy food until he berated us. I don’t write Unilocal reviews much, but this guy made me immediately take out my phone to do so. Avoid this place

It is okay, the waiter was the best part. Does not accept credit cards which is a big pain

Not too far of a walk from The Met museum. A little pricey but very well worth it. Delicious espresso with a little lemon as recommended by the gentleman serving us. Mochaccino was good too. Toasted Blueberry muffin and chocolate croissant were a great snack. Would absolutely return!

SO expensive for a cash only place! It’s the worst when you can physically see how much that little sandwich was worth at this tiny shop. The place is very cramped, I don’t get how they stay in business. oh wait, probably b/c their average price for a meal is 15 bucks, be it a sandwich or an entrée. The waiter, the bald dude, might want to think about another career… he forgot multiple orders, brought out the wrong food to the wrong table, gave the wrong checks to people… etc etc. If you are a wealthy enough person who lives on the upper east side and can afford a $ 18 eggs and ham, you might like this place.

I have never been treated worst by a waiter. The bald man at this café was very sarcastic to us, and made us feel completely unwelcomed. In fact, when he asked for coffee, I said«No, thank you» and he responded with a «I like that. And what are we waiting for?» As if to throw us out of the café ASAP. And when we asked for the bill, he sarcastically said«Service charge, that’s what they call it.» His treatment of us was insulting. I think he was racist to us as Asians. I noticed that he treated the white customers nicely, but not to us. I have never felt so insulted and unwelcomed in my life. I feel sorry for that old, bald man who still serve tables at his age. At least, I know I make more money than he does and live a better life. Don’t be bitter at us Asians for doing well.

We stopped by here for a coffee after Met. And this was the worst coffee shop experience ever! The food was ridiculously overpriced(they charged me 20 $ for a slab of cream cheese, bagel and lox). The services was fast, but the server had no idea what he was doing and what we ordered. The coffee was so mediocre. Don’t try it, if you don’t want your day to be spoiled!

Food was ok. A bit salty but service was great. There are too many Nectars in the area, I’m not even sure which one I ate at… just kidding.

Literally stumbled upon this place after a Saturday evening at the Met. We were there for sandwiches — a turkey burger and a turkey club — and both were excellent. The turkey was real roast turkey, not sliced deli meat. The fries were delicious and not too greasy. Our server and the rest of the staff were super nice — we had a question about the bill, and he very non-defensively went through and explained it, no big deal. It’s not cheap — $ 6.50 for a side of fries; $ 2.75 per soda, and no refills — a refill is an additional charge. But the food is fresh and delicious. And on a separate note — the place is super clean, including the rest room. I’m definitely going back.

It was cool. We must have went during non coffee hours because we were relegated to some small tables in the front. I guess the other tables were for dining. I wanted to journal and it give me enough breathing room. May I will come back in the AM and take it in.

We were very hungry and this was about the only place that was ‘affordable’, and with that I mean sandwiches for less than $ 10. I ordered a salmon sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the chicken noodle soup. The salmon on my sandwich was not smoked salmon, as one would think, but it was from a can. As was the chicken noodle soup. And the bread he got with the soup was old. We paid $ 17 for just those two things. Ridiculous!

I love this place. I’ve only taken out here but they are quick, they remember my order and they are super nice guys– Steve especially. While they are a little pricey, you can’t find anything else cheaper in this area. I’m a big fan of this place. Make sure you have cash though, they are cash only!
