No. 7 Veggie is the vegetarian fast food option you never knew you wanted. With options for veggie burgers or broccoli tacos with or without fries, you should be able to satisfy your comfort food craving without harming any one or anything. The«total vegetarian chaos and destruction» may not have brought the eponymous apocalypse of all things vegetable, but it was a really solid burger. Avocados make everything taste great, the pickled beets mingle with the ketchup for sweet and tangy goodness, and the sauce and cheese bring it all together. And at $ 8, this deluxe veggie burger is wallet friendly and filling enough. The broccoli tacos are okay. With a hard and soft taco shell, the wraps keeps everything together. The broccoli is rather bland, needing several douses of the balsamic to get me to finish it. While I appreciate the gluten free nature, its just not that tasty. The fries are thin and tasty, but must be had with ketchup. Staff are fun and good at what they do. Lines here are short and the food comes out quickly and piping hot. Good stuff.

Good tacos but the picture and the name of the broccoli tacos is a a little bit misleading. I though the tacos would be much bigger but they were very good anyway. I will stop by here again to try one of the veggie burgers next time.

Yum. I got the chaos burger and have zero complaints. It is in a complex called urbanspace, not at the address listed(across the street). My boyfriend got the deluxe also good, and it came out fast. Lots of veg options.

After a disappointing chicken sandwich at Delaney’s we decided to try the veggie burger. It was fabulous! Loved the beets! Really enjoyed everything about it and this was after we carried it around for a few hours! I can only imagine how great it would taste fresh off the grill. Can’t wait till I go back and eat it fresh! Healthy and delicious! What a find!!!

This was the best veggie burger I’ve ever had. Hands down. The Brussels sprouts were insane and so flavorful!

For a veggie burger, I think this is as good as it gets. The patty flavor is on delicious and on point. I think this is the best vegetarian burger I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried the plain-er burgers, but the total vegetarian chaos burger is awesome. Pickled beets, avocado, grilled onions, cheese… what’s not to like?! And honestly I think the $ 8 price point is fine, especially compared to how expensive the other Urban Space options are.

Sigh. When I saw the NYMag feature on No. 7 Veggie’s Taco Bell inspired broccoli taco(with 2TORTILLAS! a crunchy one and a soft one!!), my eyes popped. I really like the idea of eating more veggie meals, so I put the taco on my weeknight dinner list. I ordered the 2 tacos and a side of cucumber salad, and my food was ready in around 5 – 10 minutes. The cucumber salad was just ok. There wasn’t enough acidity, spice, or flavor in it, and made me yearn for the better executed Schaller’s Stube German style cucumber salad. On to the tacos. BLANDBLANDBLAND, and way too dry. If broccoli is going to be the star, it needs way more flavor than this. If you’re going to give me 2 dry taco shells, then I need a lot more black bean hummus and spunky feta in between them so it doesn’t feel like I’m chewing through a newspaper. Once I got a bite of everything with the black bean hummus, the dish finally made sense; the whole dish hinges on a more liberal application of the black bean hummus. The hot sauce did nothing to help matters; it was just a match to the tongue. Finally, I usually don’t complain about value, but the portion size was really small considering everything totaled up to around $ 14 and I wasn’t full. When I got home, I snacked on wheat thins and cheddar, which totally defeated the purpose of eating broccoli for dinner.

Great veggie burger, broccoli tacos and brussel sprouts. We went for lunch two days in a row. Super sweet staff.

I love this space and I think No. 7 has strong concepts and appealing menu items. However, the veggie burger, on which about half the menu is based, is lacking in burger-y texture. The patty is made from a mix of seitan, shiitake, and broccoli, and the flavor is interesting and savory — it’s not lacking in umami. However, the texture is so mushy and gummy that it doesn’t really have the mouthfeel of a good burger, veggie or otherwise. Bun/sauce game here is on point but I can’t get behind such a terribly textured burger. That said, service is fast and friendly and I want to try the broccoli taco next time.

First off, I like this place overall. As mentioned in over reviews, being a vegetarian/vegan is hard in midtown sometimes and it’s always nice to have a vegan burger option. Even their mayo is vegan(a rarity)! I also think the food is pretty good. People have complained about the size of the burger but I am honestly really full whenever I eat one. Even though it may appear small on the plate, it is pretty dense. My one complaint about this place is the inconsistency of the burger. I have probably gotten about 6 burgers here since it opened and each one has been different even though I have ordered the same burger over and over again(Deluxe with or without avocado). For example, I went there 2 weeks ago and my burger was seriously slathered in mayo and ketchup(so much so that it was leaking out and was gross and messy). I went there again yesterday and there was very little mayo and the ketchup was literally the size of a dime.(There was also 1 sad small piece of lettuce which was not like before). It was a real disappointment getting back to the office and having to hunt around for some ketchup in my drawer. Another example is the first time I got the burger, the patty was not really warm and the bun was. Another time, the bun was freezing and the burger was dry. The size of the patty has also varied. I have never had the same quality of burger here twice. That is the one thing they really need to work on because even though the taste of the patty itself is good, if the burger is inconsistent, you never really know if you will be happy once you unwrap it.

No 7 Veggie has become one of my go to lunch spots during the week. Being a vegetarian/vegan in midtown in difficult, unless you’re one of those people who miraculously manages to bring healthy and delicious lunches from home everyday. The guys that work here and super nice. When they first opened the chef/manager came out to chat with me about what I thought of their food. The fries were a little over salted, and the price point a little higher than I’d like for a small burger and fries, but otherwise I have no complaints. The over salted fries are no longer an issue, and even though I’m still paying $ 11 for a burger and fries at least I’m always excited to eat them. I typically go for the Total Vegetarian Chaos and Destruction burger(which has smashed avocado, pickled beets, some delicious sauce, plus burger) with a side of fries. I’m never hungry afterwards, even though the burger is on the small side(the potion of fries is pretty big). I skip breakfast pretty frequently too, so I think most people will be satisfied with the portion. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the price. Would love it if the burger were $ 1 less and there was an option for a small side of fries that was half the price of their only fries option($ 3). I’m sure the rent at UrbanSpace is astronomical. Their food and service are fantastic, so I’m obviously going to keep coming back. I hope they renew their lease(some vendors there are on a 3 month lease), I’ll definitely keep eating here for as long as I work in Midtown.

Great veggie burger… But the dude with the dreadlocks making burgers needs to completely cover his hair. It wasn’t pleasant finding his hair in my burger. The owner was very nice… He replaced my burger and refunded my money.

I had the Chaos burger, brussels sprouts, and a cucumber salad. They were excellent. The Chaos burger was different than Superiority Burger, but I thought the Chaos burger was better.

One of the better veggie burgers I have ever had. The fries were a tad over salted. I highly recommend the deluxe burger and Brussels sprouts(not on the menu). My second visit and just as good as the first!

I’m glad that the veggie burgers are good, because the broccoli tacos are a real disappointment. A great taco is all about contrasts of flavor and texture, and this one fails completely in the second category. The«double decker» concept – a hard taco inside of a soft taco – is, it seems to me, an attempt to make up for the fact that the fillings of these tacos are pure mush. The black bean hummus is tasty, but I have nothing good to say about soggy broccoli hash.

Friendly guys and a great premium-veggie-burger experience make this a food counter I’ll be returning to. The pricing is reasonable for the midtown location, and better than competitive with the many overpriced options at the pleasant Urban Space food court. The«Total Vegetarian Chaos and Destruction» burger is a fantastic treat, messy and slathered in tasty goodness, at a place that doesn’t have that many wonderful vegetarian options(I especially liked the combo of good pickled beets with the fat of a creamy avocado and melted cheese). The service is super-friendly, nice, and down to earth, also a nice touch in a, shall we say, often not-politeness-heavy midtown location. The only real sore spot is the low-rent presentation of the food, balled up in practical but unattractive tinfoil. That I was willing to overlook, because the food inside disappeared in a hurry. This is a recommended stop for a quick lunch in the surprisingly hard-to-find-cheap-good-eats Grand Central area.

I got the Chaos & Destruction veggie burger and a side of fries. Was the burger good? YES! However it was smaller then my fist, about 3.5″ diameter by 2″ tall. And when I say the fries are beyond salty, I really mean it. I had to stop eating them after a handful of fries. I want to give them more stars, but I can’t.

I really enjoyed the food here! I got the Vegeterian Chaos Burger with french fries. The burger was very flavorful with fresh beets, avocado, and soft doughy bread. Personally, I was comfortably full after eating their burger. The burger was the size of a Shake Shack burger, except I didn’t feel like crap afterwards after eating No. 7 Veggie’s burger. I also thought the price of $ 8 for the burger was a bargain. I could easily see this burger being priced at like $ 13 if it was a sit down restaurant type place. I really recommend trying this place out!

I tried their total vegetarian chaos burger and it was flavorful. The pickled beets were quite good and the patty itself tasted fresh. It wasn’t completely filling so at $ 8 I thought the price was a little steep. If I came back to Urbanspace I would definitely try one of the other amazing looking/smelling vendors.
