Neither good or bad. I went there to see endocrinologist. My dr was nice and polite. But I waited her in the room like 45 mins after nurse checked my blood pressure. My appointment was at 12:30pm and I left there about 1:30. They are very slow. I think they need to speed up. Even they were not that busy that time when I arrived.

Not helpful! Went to see a doctor for a yearly physical exam and to continue my prescription. I had recently moved and started new health insurance and this center was in my network. I specifically asked for a doctor that could continue my prescription, however once the visit was over, my doctor told me that she did not have the qualifications yet to prescribe my medication. I basically wasted 1 of my 2 covered doctor’s visits. My doctor, Vicky Jones, was not helpful at all. She gave me a list of psychologists that could prescribe my medication yet when I called, none of them took any form of health insurance… it was a fee of $ 200-$ 600 each. I called my health insurance trying to find a way to just continue my prescription(that I’ve been on for 5 years!) to no avail. I then emailed Vicky again asking to refer me to another doctor in the network that could prescribe my medication. She was not kind at all, just copy and pasted the same contacts she previously gave me. So it’s been 3 months and I have had gone cold turkey off my medication, which is not healthy at all! Very disappointing.

The Good: I was very sick and needed to be seen asap and didn’t want to have to mess around with urgent care and places that don’t take insurance. I found a doctor on ZocDoc who took my insurance and works out of the NYU Langone center in midtown west. I was able to make a same-day appointment as a new patient. I was in and out in about 90 minutes. The nurse came in, took a throat culture, the doctor came in, confirmed it was strep, and I was out of there. The Bad: The intake procedure as a new patient was intense. They took my photo, which I wasn’t jazzed about. They also took my handprint on their digital scanner. I really don’t like having to give such personal information to a doctor’s office whose data security I can’t verify. I was absolutely miserable with strep, or I would have protested. Had I been seeing the doctor for something regular that could have been put off, I certainly would have declined and chosen a new doctor’s office that wasn’t so invasive. The Ugly: I paid my co-pay when I left the office and never got any further bill or invoice. Four months later, I got a letter from a collections agency saying I owed $ 23, with no explanation of for what. I literally have never had something go to collections before, and I’m angry that the office didn’t bother to send me a bill themselves. They have my address, phone number, and email, so it seems lazy on their part to send my bill directly to collections. I haven’t seen it show up on my credit report yet, but I’m nervous. The shady billing coupled with the privacy concerns means I won’t be back.
