I was just sure I reviewed Optyx in April, but just in case: Optyx has been my most successful eye doctor experience. When I came in April the doctor helped me transition to affordable daily lenses. They cost slightly more than soft lenses, but I spend less money on contact solution and cases, and I know I wore soft lenses longer than I should have. I had to try a couple of different brands to find one I like, and she was really helpful. At the time I loved my glasses, so I maxed out my benefits for contact lenses. Almost a year later I needed new glasses, and my insurance was ending, so I popped in on a Friday afternoon for glasses and contact lenses. The woman working helped me find a pair of glasses I loved. And since I’m on a tight budget, she provided an itemized list of costs, and she was respectful that I needed to go to the bank. She was great. A++ would get glasses from her again. Plus, everything was ready by Tuesday!

After lens crafters messed up my prescription I decided to try my luck at Optyx. I think this is my new favorite optical shop in Manhattan! Dr Visanji was amazing — very professional and friendly and more importantly my prescription was spot on. Needless to say my eyes are happy now. Selection is quite limited but they had all major brands (Raybans, Celine, Chanel, Tom Ford, Oliver Peoples, etc). Angelica helped me pick out a great pair. I definitely hope to come back again for my next one. PS get the digital cut anti glare lenses– life-​changing and worth it. Thanks Optyx.

The very best service I’ve had at an optical place. Angelica, the manager, was super helpful and explained everything very patiently and thoroughly. She helped me get the high definition lenses (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) and on a clear day I can see forever!

Just bought some Tom Ford sunglasses at OPTYX and I love them! The Manager Angelica was super friendly and attentive. They have a nice selection of sunglasses and will return before the summer for sure!

I walked in because the lenses from my reading glasses (which I had purchased elsewhere) had popped out. I was SO impressed with the professionalism and conscientiousness and care with which they approached such a «minor» issue! I would have no hesitation recommending them for anyone’s eye-​care needs.

Extremely helpful and efficient. Just walked in with a pair of glasses I had bought online that were way too big for my head. The staff working in the store helped adjust them for me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
They also have a great collection of eyewear. Will be back for my next pair of glasses.

I stopped in while walking back to my hotel after a meeting and ended up with a great new pair of eye glasses.
The selection was excellent and as noted by other posts this is a no pressure type of place, just plenty of advice on the various frames and what does and does not look best.
Angel who is the manager was the one who helped me and you won’t find a more knowledgeable individual anywhere, he clearly (no pun intended) knows his stuff.
If you’re in the NYC area and find yourself on 6^th ave. stop in, you wont be disappointed.

I certainly do love glasses and, over the years, have been to a couple of places so I fancy that I can tell a good one.
I am very happy that I came here to Optyx. My new eyeglasses are darling and they sit well on my nose. My salesperson, Ross, was attentive and thorough. The optometrist was very good.
There is a wide and nice selection of frames, with affordable options. Definitely recommend.

Can’t believe the knowledge and quality customer service in this store!!! My salesperson was Angel and he did a phenomenal job. He literally looked at the shape of my face and was able to recommend a brand and style!!! The store has a great selection in eyewear. Definitely check out this store.
