Stopped by today and got the penne arrabbiata. I’ve had arrabbiata sauce before and know that it’s meant to be spicy. However, the amount of red pepper in the dish was, quite frankly, reckless. It was as if someone had emptied an entire bottle of red pepper flakes into an otherwise tasteless sauce. Aside from the focaccia served on the side, the dish was inedible and most of it ended up in the garbage.

Walked around The Plaza Food Court looking for lunch and settled down to grab lunch. There is very limited seating and you are required to share the table. I had gotten the Squid Ink Pasta($ 20) which comes with the pasta(which is on the harder side) in olive oil, with shrimp, garlic, and mini tomatoes. The pasta was made well but lacked flavor throughout and the service wasn’t bad. If you are thinking about getting the squid ink, I’d say try something different and get squid ink pasta at a better location. My overall experience was pretty average. I expected a better tasting pasta considering the price and the emphasis on hand made. It was a fun spot to try but next time I go to the Plaza I’ll probably try someplace else.

I love the lasagna. It is creamy, delicious, simple and is accompanied with a salad vinaigrette so tasty, I’m trying to get the recipe from the owner. The portion is the perfect size. The foccacia is also quite special. Dipping it in olive oil is irresistible. They need to improve their white wine selection and offer a few non-sugary beverage options, otherwise, this is my «go to» place for yummy lasagna.

The Plaza Food Court is a nice idea: it’s basically the high end version of a food court. It’s more elaborate than the food court at a mall, but each spot within is not a full restaurant. I would call Ora di Pasta more of 3.5 stars, but ended up rounding down, as there’s nothing overtly special about it. The food: Gnocchi truffle– good. Gnocchi was very soft and chewy, really liked the consistency Pasta trio: Penne w red sauce — bland Pesto gnocchi– good 4 cheese ravioli– great

This restaurant has good food but has horrible service. Therefore, I would not recommend it and will not be going again. The portions are extremely small but very pricey. The worst is the service. Employees rudely told me to move out of the way and to leave the restaurant while waiting for my food to be ready. They also messed up my order. I went back to tell them and they remade me the food I actually ordered. However, the order they charged me with was much more expensive then what I wanted. I thought they would at least reimburse me or give me the extra food. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Very rude staff, it is unfortunate.

Great food. Lost three stars because two of the staff were rude to me. I came and the place was packed so I asked if there were any more seats. Christian just asked me in a harsh tone what do you want so I said I’d like to order to stay. He said it will take 15 minutes get a seat and 5 minutes to get the food out so fine I just ordered to go. I was waiting on the side and Christian told me in a very rude way to wait outside and that I can’t put my stuff on the counter. He said he will come to me when the food is ready so I leave and wait outside. I waited 30 minutes and came back to find my food sitting there waiting for me the whole time. I could’ve just enjoyed my food on the table than take it to go and find a good spot to eat in. So I say to another staff that I was waiting the whole time and asked why no one called me. The guy said in a rude way, well you weren’t in here waiting. Christian never informed me the food was ready. I didn’t feel welcomed and I was treated badly. Christian pretty much kicked me out. I was very upset with the service. Food was delicious but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have if I were treated nicely. The service made me not enjoy and appreciate my food even though the food was good. I’m just giving two stars for the food. But the manager has to talk to that guy Christian and teach him manners. I don’t really spend a lot of time writing reviews but my experience here was so bad I took the time to sign up for a Unilocal account and write this.

Best homemade pasta I’ve had in New York! Stumbled upon this cute place inside the Plaza and it immediately caught my eye! The food is amazing, the quality of the pasta is one of the best I’ve had in New York for that price and the service was excellent! I definitely suggest the burrata which is amazing and the Ravioli are to die for! Will definitely be my new go to spot!

What a good experience I had at Ora Di Pasta ! I was craving for Pasta and I took a look at the restaurant around me. And I found the state of the of art of Pasta. The restaurant is located in the food court of the plaza hotel. It was like an oasis in the heat of the city. We were host with a big smile from the cashier. And I had a big smile when i saw the vitrine full of beautiful fresh Pasta. I wasn’t wrong, Cheese Ravioli are a dream !!! Perfect break !!!

Such an adorable place in the heart of the city! Restaurant quality food without the wait. I am from CT where there are Italian restaurants on top of more Italian restaurants and I was really impressed with their food. Interior is super cute, kind of an open plan. I ordered pasta trio and my friend got the pumpkin ravioli. Pasta was super fresh all the sauces very flavorful and simply delicious. Other reviews says wait staff was rude, our service was great and our waiter was patient and walked us through the pasta selection and explained everything. Definitely excellent choice. Now on my NYC food map.

Went there for lunch and it was probably one of the worst food experiences i’ve had here in New York. The food was incredibly bland, their tomato sauce was insanely watered down and the pasta completely overcooked. My friend ordered the trio and it came with four sad tiny pieces of ravioli, it was pathetic. Considering the stupid prices they charge for their pasta you would expect at least something edible. It wasn’t. Quality of the food aside, the service was awful. It feels like this place is being run by teenagers. The waiters were rude and the cashier took about 15 minutes to get us our change back. I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews, but considering this experience, I thought it was due. The plaza holds many other restaurants, all of which are about a millions times nicer than this one. Avoid at all cost.

This small restaurant in the Plaza Hotel offers delicious food at a surprisingly reasonably cost. It’s very small and the food takes a while due to the tiny kitchen and limited staff, but the food is delicious. The Penne Arrabiata with Chicken was quite good. The sauce was amazing and the chicken was amazingly tasty and juicy, though the noodles felt like mush. A taste of the shrimp with garlic sauce and squid-ink pasta also proved both creative and delicious. The noodles were excellent, and the food was good overall. Overall, I enjoyed the meal which, although not cheap, was of good quality, and the staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Very limited seating, small portions and over priced. And here’s the kicker, I had witnessed one of the workers who came in and handed several jars of Newmann’s Own Red pasta sauce to the cashier who put it away in the back kitchen. I leave you all to draw your conclusions…

Absolutely love this little spot! If you’re craving pasta, you won’t be disappointed. The pasta melts in your mouth and every bite is heavenly. Ask for bread with your meal since the portions are just a little too small for men with big appetites! Will definitely be eating here again!

Yesterday we stopped by the plaza hotel to see what it looked like. We were amazed to find a beautiful«food court» down couple stairs from the main lobby. We decided to try the pasta bar Ora Di Pasta. The pasta trio seemed to be the perfect option to try as many things as possible. The food came fast and the plate looked great. The gnocchi pesto was my favorite. We finished the meal with a very decent tiramisu and coffee. Very nice place !

Fresh, home made pasta, can’t get a better lunch near Central Park. Love this new place. If you like pumpkin, would highly recommend the pumpkin ravioli — soft and pillowy, very well done.

How did I not even know this plaza with adorable shops existed until now? I keep debating on whether to give Ora di Pasta 3 stars or 4, so I guess it’s more of a 3.5 star rating rounded down to 3. Ora di Pasta caught my eye immediately when I walked by – I’m a sucker for good pasta and this place looked just so adorable and cute. Even though I just ate lunch and dessert, I had to order pasta from here for the sake of trying it. I ordered the pasta trio to go for $ 18, which consists of penne pasta with marinara sauce, four cheese ravioli with alfredo sauce, and gnocchi with pesto sauce. The food came out very quickly – I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes. The food itself is fairly good. I liked the gnocchi a lot. It was soft and the pesto taste wasn’t overpowering. The ravioli was also cooked to perfection with a light alfredo sauce. The penne and marinara sauce is what it is – nothing special, which felt a little underwhelming. This would honestly be such a great dish, but it was a bit too heavy on the oil /butter. May be because I got to go and the pesto sauce ran into everything else, but I feel a bit heavy after the meal. The portions here are on the smaller side, but it does make it feel more authentic. The staff legitimately speak Italian to each other and they have a great selection of desserts and drinks. I don’t regret trying the pasta here, but I’m not convinced I would come back. Very cute establishment though and I’m glad it’s part of the plaza food hall.

I had a friendly server but even she could not make up for the total rip off that this place is. Tiny portions, sauce that’s bland and prices that are through the roof for what you are being given. I don’t like being robbed and that’s how it made me feel. Many other nice places to choose from in the food court!
