Had my first appointment today. Staff was nice, doctors were friendly. I believe these people are professional in treatment. HOWEVER, I was disappointed and upset at one thing: when I called first time to consult on birthmark removal, I specifically asked how much on average does the treatment cost. Whoever was talking to me said $ 350, and I thought it wouldn’t be too bad, so I made my first appointment. Then, after all the check-​in was done and met the doctor, I was told the $ 350 was for the FIRST TIME OFFICE VISITING FEE. I had to behave politely but really was very upset and angry that I was informed the wrong information on the phone. And I paid my bill, which was so unreasonable. If they had been honest on the phone, I would never let myself go to such an expensive place. First time office visiting fee is $ 350, then after that office visiting fee is $ 250, and add whatever treatment fee they charge you. I don’t think it’s worth it at all, unless you’re ultra rich on the top of new york city people. I think that’s their goal customers. But at least be honest with people like me in the beginning on the phone.

This review should be five stars. David Orentreich and Catherine Orentreich are excellent physicians for medical and cosmetic needs. As was their father. Their products are great. However, the nurse practitioner leaves much to be desired. She is adequate for minor medical issues but do not ever use her for cosmetic procedures. Unfortunately she is regarded as a doctor in that office and is given complete freedom.

Dr David Orentreich is a great doctor who is very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

You want my beauty secret? You got it! Dr. David Orentreich is the guy who keeps my skin looking youthful and my complexion clear. I’m a big fan of his night cream (Repair Cream #2)!
His father is Dr. Norman Orentreich, the dermatologist who created the Clinique line back in the day. He also invented numerous dermatologic procedures and was the first president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Well… the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, because Norman’s son David is a gifted dermatologist too. It definitely runs in the family.
FYI, you can’t get this magic night cream unless you are a client of David’s or one of the other dermatologists at this clinic. It’s definitely worth the effort to travel to go see him though. I wouldn’t say that about many people. He’s the only dermatologist that I highly recommend. He’s also amazing for pain-​free and natural looking botox and fillers. It’s amazing that I feel absolutely nothing when he does my botox. There’s something special about his numbing cream and/​or technique. I fly here all the way from Vegas for his services. He’s the only one I let touch my face. His botox actually lasts unlike a lot of places… particularly the cheaper ones. Rumor has it that several supermodels are clients of his as well. I believe it because he is THAT good!
Orentreich Medical Group is my fountain of youth and I’m happy to share that secret with you. I’m positive you will not be disappointed if you put your faith in Dr. David Orentreich. :)

I’ve been going to the Orentreich Medical Group for awhile now and I have been thoroughly impressed. No one treats acne better and I have been around seeing many doctors.
Jodi LoGerfo had put me on a treatment regimen that was effective and the care was great. The nurses spend the time cleaning your skin (and they are real nurses!) and Jodi goes the extra mile to ensure you are getting the best care possible. Her Botox was the best I have ever had too.
I can highly recommend Jodi for the best acne care and Botox I have ever had!

I went to Dr. David for a series of scar removal procedures, including fraxel laser. The scar surgery worked well and only took a few minutes. The fraxel laser took too much time, too much money, and actually seemed to make my skin worse instead of better. The procedures to burn away the scars with a kind of «heat wand» had decent results, but left major red marks all over my face for close to a year. Apparently I could have gone in to have the redness reduced, but no one in the office never told me that was an option. Finally, the «permanent filler» they used on the scars had virtually no impact. I was told after my «permanent filler» to come back in to see if there were any additional options for further reducing the scars. When I arrived for this final appointment, the doctor did not read my file and, not recognizing me, launched into a full sales job on how I should get all these procedures I had just completed. I pointed out that I had already done all these things. He became flustered and cross and told me that I didn’t need anything (reversing his earlier sales job), and that he had never indicated I should come back in. I spent so much time and money, and spent over a year trying to get my first appointment at this office (the office cancelled on me for my first appointment at least twice for reasons unknown). But I would never go back. It was a very unpleasant experience all around, and the results are average at best.

I think Dr. Catherine Orentreich is pretty great. Her staff is super friendly. The office is clean and well-​organized. She spent over an hour with me during my first appointment, which is a rare thing to find these days. My father is a physician and always gripes about how younger, money-​hungry doctors only see patients for 10 minutes. So, I am always impressed when a doctor has an old-​school, spend-​time-​with-​your-​patients approach like my dad. I felt like Dr. Catherine asked good questions and spent time trying to figure out my condition. I also felt like she knew what she was talking about. One note — she does like to do a full-​body skin check during your first visit, which requires getting totally (totally) undressed. I wasn’t expecting that, but appreciate that she takes her work seriously and wants to make sure to check her patients over. They do sell their own products, which worried me at first, but the prices are quite reasonable. We’ll have to see now how they work!
