We met NY’s worst waitress here. Nasty attitude and just plain rude. Over priced food. Would never go back.

Want to go to an art gallery? Want to eat pizza? Can’t decide which activity to do first? You don’t have to sacrifice with PizzArte because they’re both! I have had this place bookmarked for YEARS ever since I heard of the unique concept, but never seem to find myself in this area. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago we found ourselves on this block for an appointment with Hank Lane that we finally decided to check it out for dinner afterwards! My mom, Mike B. and I ate at the bar on a cold January night — but kept warm right next to the open brick oven. The restaurant is very narrow with the bar and 1 table on the ground floor, and then the main dining room(with all of the art) on the second floor. Everything we ate was fantastic and the service was quick and professional. They must have filled up our olive bowl 3 times(yes, I was a little puffy the next day…) Here’s what we tried and I would 100% recommend: PIZZARTEPIZZA: Burrata Cheese, Butternut Squash, Spicy Italian Sausage, Thyme — $ 22 SPINACI: Spinach, beets, goat cheese, mango, pistachios nuts FETTUCCINEALLECASTAGNEL: homemade whole wheat fettuccine, Italian chestnuts, porcini mushrooms, sausage, pecorino cheese

Ate here on NYE, when the city was packed & it was impossible to find a place to go! Great pizza, but still a little pricey for the quality. The service was AMAZING as well as the ambiance and my boyfriend and I had an amazing time! Most of the wait staff seemed proficient in Italian and extended great hospitality and service. I would recommend Pizzarte to anyone looking for an authentic Italian pizza place in the city!

Dinner here was a real treat! Classic Italian cuisine served by Italian speaking waiters made me feel as if I were in Italy again! The pizza was delicious as well as the Chicken with lemon. Dessert was also very special — lemon cake with cream. I highly recommend this restaurant! Service was prompt and very professional but delightfully friendly. Seating was a bit awkward because they were very close together and there was not much room for plates.

Stopped by for a quick lunch with a colleague at noon on a Thursday. Food was divine(& nice lunch sized portions) and service was on point. Starting with the bread — - fresh baked in house and boy was it delicious– super crispy yet flavorful crust. For lunch, I got 3 sides– FRIARIELLI-ZUCCHINIALLASCAPECE-MELENZANE A FUNGHETTO– all cooked perfectly with balanced seasoning. My colleague got FETTUCCINEALLECASTAGNE. a down to earth italian restaurant with quality food, service and not so midtown prices. what more can one ask for? come check it out– I will most definitely be back.

Let’s start off by saying the location is good. You can definitely spot it when you walk by. The service was good. We were greeted, and our server was attentive. The only thing I didn’t like was that they made us throw away our Starbucks coffee. Which I highly found useless. She gave us two options — we can wait till after to pick up the coffee or drink it all and she can throw it away. That’s ludicrous. The food is decent. Not the most outstanding Italian food. With that being said the price was a little over the top compared to the food. The inside was a little crowded. Felt like the server was standing right beside our table. Would I recommend this place? Eh, I’ll advise to Unilocal around before you settle here.

Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing time! Called PizzaArte after our show at radio city ended and after asking the wait for a table of 5 I was told if we could hurry in they had a table for us. We walked the 4 blocks and were seated as promised. The waitstaff was great and our food was delicious, we ordered 3 pizzas and a calzone, 3 desserts(the cheesecake and flourless cake were incredible) We would definitely recommend!

We ordered 2 glasses of white wine, Eggplant appetizer ‘Melenzane alla parmigiana’ and Pizza Capricciosa. Every dish was wonderful! We kept waiting our pizza but they let us have a free refill of wine, so that made it up :) After all, we were satisfied with their service pretty much. Little bit pricy but nice place to stop by!

15 or so years into being gluten-free, I have learned to make do with substitutes. No, that bagel was nothing like a real bagel. No, that brown rice pizza crust was not the real thing. No, that super dense bread does not a sandwich make. But I learned to appreciate what I could get, and have discovered where I could find GF foods that were at least *somewhat* better than others. Until now. Here ye, here ye, gluten-free pizza lovers: Pizzarte has REALPIZZA. *And* they have it GLUTEN-FREE. Wood-fired deliciousness. O M G. Only a handful of kinds, on their otherwise gluteny menu, but that was more than enough. Since I was visiting NYC from California and only had pizza at Pizzarte, I can’t compare it to an other local offerings. However, I can definitely say it was the best I’ve had in 15 years. So… go! Note for celiacs: make sure it’s not contaminated by their preparing the dough on the regular surface used to make other pizza. They asked me if it was okay(I’m wheat-intolerant but not celiac, so it’s not as crucial for me), but I assume they could do it otherwise if needed. Call ahead to check if concerned — they seemed responsive and aware.

I stopped here with my son, daughter and my toddler granddaughter for a late lunch after shopping. We were definitely a bit bedraggled and didn’t fit in with the other diners but I’m glad we stopped. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was more than welcoming, making sure we were happy and well taken care of. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a glass of wine, a bottle of beer and a soda. The pizza was really good, not great but good. The wine was a bit pricy for what I got but it is midtown. Food was delivered promptly but we never felt rushed. I would definitely stop in again.

Best gluten free pizza I’ve had in a while. I ordered the Toto which had grilled Vegetables. The only thing I would have asked for would be more Veggies on the pizza. Next time INNYC I will def be back here!

Normally when you come to NYC, you are probably looking for your authentic oily and cheesy Brooklyn Pizza. For many, that is great. I personally like it on occasion, but sometimes the brick pizza style catches me. My wife and I were in dire craving for good pizza, but we didn’t want to go too far in the cold. Pizzarte had great reviews, and we decided to give it a shot. The mushroom truffle pizza and gnocchi were to die for. The pizza was so moist and juicy that I felt like the pizza literally melted in my mouth. The service was amazing too!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with some friends who were visiting from out of town. They were staying in Times Square and have a toddler, so we wanted to find a place that wasn’t too far from them and had kid-friendly food options. We never eat in Midtown, so we just looked on OpenTable to see what was available on that day for 5 people. Pizzarte seemed to have a decent menu for all of us and was in a convenient location, so we booked it. Truth be told, neither my boyfriend nor I had high expectations, but I’m pleased to say we were wrong! Not only did this place totally fit our needs, but the food was truly excellent. In fact, the food was 5 stars. Service was slow(but nice), which is why I’m only giving it 4. We weren’t in a rush, so it wasn’t a big deal, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have limited time. They brought delicious focaccia bread for the table to start. None of us had appetizers, but the bread was enough. I had the maccheroncini allo scoglio(short pasta, calamari, Manila clams, octopus, shrimp, fresh tomato sauce), which was truly superb. All of the seafood was extremely fresh and delicious, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the pollo al mattone(brick pressed marinated organic chicken, roasted potatoes) and could not stop exclaiming about how flavorful the chicken was. The restaurant was also very nice about accommodating our friends’ child and brought her plain pasta with butter, which wasn’t on the menu. The food here is truly a step above, and I can safely say this will be our go-to restaurant in Midtown from now on.

Great lunch spot in mid town. Pizza is spot on. Salad is delish with very fresh ingredients. Pizza — the dough is perfect. chewy but thin. Ingredients — fresh, and flavorful. Slightly expensive unfortunately but still great spot.

Cute lunch spot in midtown. Definitely love the name to this place because it’s very artsy and the pizzas are really good. However, I’m always in the mood for thin crust pizza. We order the Tartufata pizza(Black Truffle, Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Speck, Basil) and the Fusilli Al Ragu(Fusilli Avellinesi with traditional Neapolitan veal and pork ragú). I was curious on what speck was and found out it’s a German smoked prosciutto — which was delicious and not as salty as I expected. They were also very generous with the black truffle. I had to check my teeth for traces of it before I left the restaurant. haha. Also, the veal on the pasta dish was very tender and just melted in your mouth. Lastly, they have ridiculously expensive $ 2,000-$ 3,000 painting for sale on the wall. But I have to admit, they are pretty interesting.

LOVELOVELOVE. Cute little Italian place in the heart of the city. Must have the Margherita pizza! Excellent customer service, decent prices and easy to get to. Nice to sit in or to gran a quick bite between meetings. The food was filling and tasted very well I’ve recommended this place now to three people each of whom has visited and came back to me. with a stellar review. I’d definitely recommend this to the rest of my Unilocal community.

This place is literally the most welcoming restaurant I have been in the City. When I walk in, literally every staff greeted us and some shake my hand, in a genuine way. And throughout the dinner, they were super caring, the moment I finished my wine, a service would be by my side asking me if I wanted another one. Also, the waiter checked on us every 5 mins and spent all the time we needed to explain all the foreign Italian words to us. However, I didn’t understand him most of the time, all the servers there were 100% Italians. The alcohol they served were fancy, apart from another menu with all Italian words, even their beers were Italian, they had no tap beers. The waiter told me all the beers they had, and my answer was ‘sounds good’, because I didn’t know any and could not pronounce any of them. For appetizers, we had a Salumi E Formaggi(italian meat and cheese platter), Frittura Di Mare(fried calamari & shrimp), and Melenzane Alla Parmigiana(Eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil). The meat cheese platter was so good! The Italian meat were really salty but savory, the cheese was very good too. The eggplant thing was very cheesy and hot, it’s like those spinach cheese dips but with eggplant, great for vegetarians. Lastly, the fried shrimp and calamari was like every other ones you get elsewhere, no surprises on that. For entrée, I ordered their specials of the day, Branzino(sea bass with grilled veggies). It was Amazing! The Sea bass was hot and crunchy on the outside. I used their spicy oil to go with the veggies, it was very hot but really really good! You definitely have to try their oils! Overall, the atmosphere there was nice and modern. They have paintings on the walls for sale and appreciation. Good for dates/get togethers/group hangouts. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 was because the service was a little too intense, they were always right there! I am sure they were just being nice, but it felt like they were yelling at me. Recommend!

Adorable little Italian restaurant in the heart of Midtown! The space is unique because it not only serves as a restaurant but also as an art gallery(do you really expect anything less in NYC?), and they do both fabulously. The restaurant itself is small without being suffocating — it comes off cozy, and intimate. The food is delicious — like good enough that I was greedy and finished my entire risotto, when I really should’ve saved some for later. My friend was equally thrilled with the Fusilla, and finished her entrée portion as well. We sat at the bar, and the seats were actually comfortable! I don’t know if I’ve ever come across comfy bar stools before, but they definitely made our dine in experience at the bar a notch above the rest.
