I love dive bars and sadly this one will be closing soon. Pool table, random items decorate the wall and bar, gross bathroom. Cheap drinks. I was here on a Tuesday night so it was far from full but they do karaōke. Some folks singing were excellent, professional level, and others were… not. We sat near the door so the karaōke wasn’t too loud or overwhelming. Same level of sound from the jukebox/radio/whatever those giant iPad looking things in bars are now called. Loads of fun if you like dive bars and there are not many around anymore.

I went here for a couple of pre-midday/midday beers so there were very few people and the atmosphere may not be all it could be so I’m not going to deduct a star for that. The range of beers is up to scratch, there is a good internet juke box and the bartender did her job well and was up for conversation. It looks like any other number of Manhattan dive bars which is a good thing. I’m going to give it the benefit of the the doubt that when it is fuller and more lively it would be a great place. If you like dive bars, you’ll like this.

Raccoon Lodge NY Manhattan TriBeCa 5pm Sunday 20th December 2015 Five Stars I had to come here one last time before this dive bar turns into an apartment building. I sat at the bar and struck up a lovely conversation with the upstate gal girl next to me. I had a $ 8 Markers Mark. The place was pretty packed on an early Sunday evening but the single bartender was relaxed and seemed to be able handle them all.

Dive bar with cheap beer. I enjoyed getting a couple pints of hoegaarden. A little older crowd than I’m used to in college.

Lots of fun, good music, pool tables and one very ballsy bartender. He was a short asian(?) guy and he snatched my brother’s cigarette right out of his hand and threw it away. Pretty blunt way to let us know there was no smoking in the bar lol!!! Good time with great people we met in TriBeca.

This is a pretty chill bar they have a pool table in the center of the bar. I like that the bartender gave us free shots, she is awesome. I felt very safe at this bar in that I was able to hang up my jacket without having to worry about anyone taking it from me. It feels like a very home bar to me. I do see myself going back there in the future. :BATHROOMALERT: Not too clean of a bathroom but I wasn’t expecting it to be clean but that is OK. I wasn’t too thrilled that the lock isn’t as secure if you push a certain way you can break in. The drink prices are pretty cheap. The people who go here are a little interesting and are on all walks of life.

Great dive bar. Authentic and friendly. So sad that it is being torn down for more condos.

What a GREAT find! We came in for a quick drink/break from being tourists yesterday and left with so much more than just the perfect buzz! The bartender(Alli!) was amazing! Super quick and patient and FUNNY! Told us a lot about the bar and neighborhood. Knowing what great people run this place and work here definitely makes it easy to stay all day and contribute! Pretty great draft selection and surprisingly clean for a «dive»! If you are ever in NYC-get here! There’s few places left like this ANYWHERE anymore!

I wasn’t the biggest fan of this place. I went in on a Friday at 7pm and it was already overflowing. But the biggest problem was that, due to the bars design, it ended up just being a giant line since there is no room to navigate around people. Took us on average 10 min to get a drink from the bar, though I was a fan of this house racoon lager. After mulling through everyone we finally made it to the back of the bar and the reason I’m giving it 3 stars(instead of less) is because the back was pretty nice. There’s a pool table and some arcade games there so maybe if you come on a day when it’s not as crowded it’ll be fun.

New favorite bar when I’m in that ‘hood. Great choices of music on the juke! There is really nothing like sitting back with a cocktail listening to some tunes you picked out yourself. I wish I knew our bartenders name from the other night so I could shout him out. He had a long biker ponytail, and a beard. We adored him and felt welcome right away. Very awesome dude that sang War Pigs with my husband! \m/ Anyway. they seem to stay open past most of the other Tribeca bars which is a plus. It’s expensive but ALLBARS are so stop complaining. :D Raccoon Lodge is pretty kickass.

It’s a pretty average dive bar, what more can I say? The size of the bar is very tiny with a seating are that consists of 2 narrow individual tables. The staff is very friendly and funny, and the décor of the interior is a mish mash of random stuff pinned against the wall. The drinks are o-kay, and also not the cheapest.(rum&coke for $ 7)

Amazing place to get cheap drinks and have fun. Its a shame this place in a year will no longer exist due to development. I guess the Patriot will be the next hot spot

A Cast of Characters Where do I begin, this is dive bar in TriBeCa. Like another review said if your looking for fine cocktails and romantic ambiance, then this place is not for you. If you like dark, homey, seedy, loud music playing, bar full of inebriated people. You’ll love this spot, I know I did. This bar is a great example of why dive bars will always be better, my wife and I go in while walking around in a rain storm. The patrons see that we’re wet and a little miserable and 3 strangers and then the bartender proceed to buy us drinks. We ended up staying for hours. Great music blaring from the juke box and weirdos dancing around. 2 bachelorette parties, a man fell in the floor, and several groups of people singing to the a special playlist that I broke out on the jukebox. Just an awesome time, what a gem. This place made our trip. Thanks

I am back in New York… which means getting down to The Raccoon Lodge as soon as I can, regardless of what part of the City I am staying in. To no surprise, it was all I anticipated. Always is. Excellent group at the bar, which was packed at 3:30 p.m. Yeah, a lot of people know. Great crowd. Always. And it never takes long to embark on a good chat with someone sitting nearby(if you want). But wait! Your fellow customers aren’t the highlight. That honor goes to a couple of spitfire cousins who work the bar with absolute gusto, skill and efficiency. If you“re lucky, you’ll meet Christine and/or Eleni. Both are great at keeping you with a beverage of choice — and with making you feel welcome. Pick your poison. You can’t lose. Pretty, witty and excellent at their job. Get there soon. Good place. Good people both at the bar and in back of it. Great prices. I’ll be there again tomorrow. First saloon I hit after landing. Last saloon I hit before leaving. A tip of the cap also to manager Derek and a third superb barkeeper, Nikki, who I hope to see tomorrow.

I’ve passed by this place so many times, my fiancé used to «house sit» pretty regularly on this street. We never went in because it seemed so skeezy on the outside. Last night we were in the area and looking for a dive amongst countless snooty lounges, and we remembered this place. So much different than I imagined inside. Yes, it’s a locals dive, dark and a little dirty, and they serve you beer in a can, but it’s all part of the charm. They had a pool table, a couple of arcade games, and at 11:30 flipped the pool table into a beer pong table. The crowd was very chill, everyone was having a good time but no one was obnoxious or causing a scene. It seemed like the place to go for the locals trying to avoid the usual TriBeCa crowd. Bonus: they also had a jukebox. Who doesn’t love choosing their own music?

Not a bad dive bar for the area. Most of the bars in fidi or tribeca are bougie or stone street or bougie and stone street. Not this place. Cans of pbr are $ 3 and a combo with fireball is $ 7. Decent selection of beers on tap if you want to throw down a few more bucks. Well drinks are pretty solid. My friend ended up asking for a white russian because its her ‘thing’ and cocktail of choice. They didn’t have any cream behind the bar which I could have taken a guess at. But they made her one anyway with vodka, kahlua, and baileys. Nicely done. The décor is interesting. .. .. a lot of taxidermied moose heads and rhinos etc., construction worker gear, some bowling and track trophies I think. Pinball, Pool table, and Big Buck in the back. It’s a very amped up Big Buck with all the new twists and Duck Dynasty combined. I think its a gem for the area if you are okay with dealing with a little bit of seediness and its a step up on cleanliness from the Patriot Saloon down the block. Maybe not so much with the bathrooms.. .. But its right next to the PATH and the blue lines! *Almost forgot and wanted to pay note how awesome my bartender was. I stood there aloof after freezing to death from the harsh and brutal weathers in I want to say January and couldn’t decide for the life of me what to order. She let me sample almost a quarter of a pint of three different beers she thought I would enjoy based off of what beers I told her I like. Pretty awesome!

Solid dive bar a few of my teammates and I patroned after one of our wins. They have a decent draft selection and a spacious area which was great for our team. Pool in the back also. This is one of the few bars in the area that has a super late liquor license. When all the other places close, this place is still popping.

Reliable dive bar downtown. There is plenty of cheap beer in cans and also on tap, with a really good selection. At least 10 beers on draft. Cans of PBR are $ 3 and there’s a beer shot combo for a PBR plus Fireball for $ 7. That’s a serious beer shot combo, usually you see whiskey as the pairing. Lots of nostalgic things in this bar like animal heads and an old school pinball machine, Metallica. There’s a pool table in here too. Plus they have Buckhunter and a TouchTunes. A little bit of everything. The crowd here is mixed from regulars to suits working in the area. Overall, a fun time. It’s pretty close to the subways and also the PATH train, so getting back isn’t much of a hassle. The bartenders here are so chill, there’s usually an eccentric lady that’s outgoing and then a taller guy that’s on the quiet side. Solid dive bar in the FiDi neighborhood!
