I was staying in the Lexington Hotel, we went for breakfast, it did get crowded and noisy but it is NY, it looks like a diner but the food is much better than diner food. The service very good, I had breakfast with my family and they serve plenty of food and everyone liked what they ordered. I will go here again on my next trip.

Out of all of the restaurants I’ve ever eaten in New York City I’ve eaten at some of the best some of the worst I have to say that this is one of the worst. For the prices you can go into a high-class restaurant with the best service and amazing food instead you’ll pay $ 21 for a hamburger at this place. Instead go right across the street if you’re looking for someplace to eat quick and eat there. Raffles we waited for almost an hour waiting for hamburgers and I almost walked out, for four people got a bill for hamburgers for over $ 100 go somewhere else do yourself a favor.

I would give Raffles 0 stars if I could. I used to come here for business lunches but I just took a group out for a subpar breakfast and I am deeply offended at how overpriced they are! Let’s start with a basic cup of coffee for $ 4. Or that they charged me $ 22 for 2 greasy fried eggs, dry bacon, and cardboard toast. Then there’s the $ 3 extra for egg whites! The bill was about $ 300 for 10 people and nobody got fancy with their ordering. I have never felt so ripped off. Shame on you, Raffles – you’ve lost my business. TIP: Go somewhere else!

I eat breakfast in this neighborhood weekly and Raffles is by far the worst option. Spent $ 30 for a dry omelette(that had to be sent back because the order was wrong the first time) and a small coffee that the waitress never bothered to refill. Why would anyone come here with Lexington Brass across the street(which is more upscale(yet cheaper!) and much more tasty)?? You’ve also got The National, LPQ, The Smith, Comfort Diner, etc. nearby. Seriously, you have no reason to come here.

Worst breakfast ever! Unfortunately the restaurant I Unilocaled across the street was done for breakfast so I walked across the street to this place. Dumb move on my part for not Unilocaling it before I walked in. I was just hungry. The super over priced menu, did not justify the low quality of food here. I barely touched my so called omelette, which was poorly made, something you would receive at a free breakfast restaurant, in a non fancy hotel. The veggies didn’t seem fresh, as if it came from a frozen mixed bag, as it had carrots in it. Coffee was not good. I do have to get them credit for making another omelette with different ingredients, as the waitress noticed I didn’t touch my food. Honestly, for the same price or less go across the street to Lexington Brass, just get there before 11am for breakfast during the week days.

Came here for dinner, Ruffles is at our hotel so it’s convenient. we had the 5 sampler appetizer and skirt steak with a glass of Cab. I didn’t expect the steak to have sauce. It taste good but I like my steak dry. The service was ok.

To all Tourists: Beware and Stay Away They should be ashamed of themselves…$ 19.00 for two eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and coffee. $ 19.00??? I don’t care how good the eggs are. That is a major ripoff. Disgraceful.

Do not go here. Went in and sat at bar. No bartender in site but a waiter asks what I want and got me a beer and gave me a menu. 15 minutes later still no bartender(he was watching US Open) but the waiter comes back and asks if I want food. At this point I just asked for the check. $ 8 for a bud light; no problem. I am getting the money out and have some bills and my wallet sitting in front of me while I am deciding what to tip. All of the sudden the bartender finally pays attention to me and grabs the money that is sitting right next to me. Seriously? This was on my side of the bar! WTF? I have traveled around the world many times over but never had a bartender reach across the bar and grab the cash sitting in front of me. I wish I would have checked Unilocal before I went in and noticed it was below two stars. The low rating is well deserved. Again, skip this place.

We had dinner at this restaurant while visiting NYC with my husband and two kids . We asked for kids menu but they said they didn’t have kids menu but they could do everything we wanted that was on the menu. At the end all the dishes were bad frozen food and we have been charged for regular meals for the kids. The wine was not good at all also !! The bill was very expensive and the food not worth it. We do not recommend this place !!

Breakfast to get one started if a push cart isn’t an option. A sit down place with fast service and reliable food options. Nothing over the top, but it wasn’t terrible either. So… meh.

I really wanted to like this place because the waitress was so AWESOME! She gets 4 stars! I’m sorry I don’t know her name, but shes white, with long brown hair and really friendly eyes! To the really awesome waitress! That you for excellent service. Unfortunately, the lack luster food pales in comparision. Its seriously heartbreaking when something sounds so delicious on a menu and then you get it and your like. Seriously! –_– I ordered the Pancakes, and asked for the Maple Blueberry Butter on the side, since it was offered with the Waffle and I’m not a fan of restaurant waffles. Anyway. the pancakes were barely room temp when I got them and the Maple Blueberry Butter that I was anticipating was way over whipped and kinda flaky… Some of if melted and soaked into pancake which was good, but it still wasn’t what I was hoping for… Would it be extremely rude if I made my own Maple Blueberry Butter and brought it to them? My dad & stepmom seemed to enjoy their omelettes with homefries. Maybe omelettes are the way too go in this place? The homefries looked like they might be good, but I didn’t try them so I was speculate. My brother Ryan had eggs benedict… the hollandaise sauce wasn’t good… We eat eggs benedict o My brother Casey left almost all his waffles on the plate and ended up eating half his girlfriend Allisons breakfast burrito instead. Ryan went to eat Caseys waffle and immediately said Ohh that just isn’t good. Another bad thing. The credit card machine was«down» so they were only accepting cash at the moment.

I ordered the $ 22 Chicken Avocado BLT. When it arrived I was told by the manager they ran out of bacon. Without apology or option to change my order I was told that I wouldn’t miss it. However I did. The grilled chicken breast wasn’t seasoned and the entire sandwich was missing the salty bite that the bacon usually provides in a BLT. Furthermore, the tomatoes were mealy. Shortly after my Chicken Avocado LT arrived, a couple sat down next to me and ordered the same sandwich. Without hesitation, the waitress took their order. I then informed the couple that the kitchen ran out of bacon. The couple questioned the waitress, and not until then did the waitress confirm that indeed they ran out of bacon. To charge $ 22 for a Chicken Avocado BLT, no bacon, bad service? Hope this was just an off day.

Visited this place for breakfast yesterday… my thoughts: Service: The waitress was very nice and patient and took time to give recommendations. Really liked her. Food: Had oatmeal with strawberries at a ridiculous $ 9 price. My husband had pancakes and scrambled eggs. Neither were anything better than what one could get at a coffee shop for 1⁄3 of the price. Maple syrup was not real, the eggs were greasy, the oatmeal was decent but not worth the price. Ambiance: Nice place, seems clean. Kind of reminds me of Brooklyn Diner. Bottom Line: This is a diner with very high prices. And worst of all? They only take cash. I won’t be back for about a million different reasons.

Honestly, one of the worst hamburger experiences in my life. Granted, being nestled next to several hotels serving strictly tourists, I was not surprised by the inhumane prices for food that was a bit par over standard IHOP fare, but we had just gotten in to our hotel and the ladies I was with did not want to walk that far or pay for the pricey meals in the hotel. That being said, we headed straight across the street in the downpour for a late supper. I looked around the menu and didn’t really see anything that piqued my interest, so I thought I might as well try a burger. My first one in NY, that is. The $ 14 price tag for a ½ pound bland burger on a sesame seed bun that rivaled Burger King was an insult to the massive great burgers I’ve had back in town for around $ 6(and the fries come with!) but an additional $ 1 for the fries… a big $ 14.99 mistake on my part. My lady friends ordered the salmon entrée, which was a good size with steamed veggies and rice pilaf and the other orders were a simple salad and two bowls of chicken rice soup. They were happy with their selections but there was nothing special about it other than the exorbitant price tags. The wait staff, however, are very friendly, upbeat, and quite socially vocal. It was a verbal welcome after spending many cramped hours on a plane en route to my favorite city. They headed back the next morning because it was closest to the hotel, but my poor ass ditched them and found a deli across the street that specialized in plentiful tasty and inexpensive breakfasts on the go: eggs, bacon, house potatoes, toast and a cup of coffee for $ 5. Can’t beat that.
