Rivergate Valet

So this is the laundry service for the Rivergate Apartment Building.
This should be a super convenient service — laundry/​dry cleaning right in the building, no need to even walk outside, but there are a bunch of issues here.
No same day service. I’ve seen laundry services where you could drop stuff off at around 2 – 3 and still pick it up at the end of the day. Unfortunately, these guys send there stuff out early in the morning so it’s impossible. Theres a bunch of laundry machines in the building, I wish they’d just bring the clothes upstairs and wash em.
Pricing — relatively expensive. I paid over 30 dollars for a bunch of laundry I dropped off. No good.
Lastly, I don’t know if this is an option, but I was never offered to get my stuff dropped off. It would just be a little extra convenient if we could get a call and someone to bring up our laundry, since we’re all in the building anyway.
If you’re in the building, you might want to just do your laundry downstairs.

Their almost exclusive customer base is the residents of the Rivergate Apartment Building.
I’ve lived here a year and used them almost exclusively.
My debit card got compromised and the card info sold.
I asked them about their merchant bank when I went in with a temporary card (that has all the proper information) and it was declined even though there was way more than sufficient funds. (When I asked my bank about that, because it had happened before, the bank told me those declines happen when attempts to authenticate temporary cards use more information than is necessary and is a popular tactic for card thieves).
The owner wouldn’t tell me who their merchant bank is (it’s not a trade secret) and said that he had never had anyone have a problem. Yeah. if you charge $ 9 from 1000 people and you’re a dry cleaner, how many people would actually notice much less go through the trouble of reporting it.
Thank god for police reports.
