Roosevelt’s Barber Shop

Terrible experience all around. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and waited 30 minutes. As I was waiting I noticed they didn’t clean up the hair from prior customers. As a result the floor was covered in patches of hair. gross! Here’s the worst part, the lady did not know how to take instructions. She cut my hair too short and too high, and accused me afterwards of not making it clear to her in the beginning of what I wanted. She made some lame remark that other Asian people came in earlier that week wanting this same hairstyle. Really? Did a whole bunch of people decide to get terrible haircuts at once? What’s even worse is that her coworker who overheard my frustration and tried to make light of the situation by making staying, «You’ve got beautiful hair».
Never coming back. I recommend you stay away.

I plan to become barber when I retire, and I study barber shops closely.
I had a good, basic experience here two weeks ago with Ina cutting my hair. She said «come back and I’ll learn how you like it.»
As previously stated, not very clean, but a direct, honest, basic haircut at a good price.

My boyfriend goes to this barber and has been getting his hair cut by the owner each time (I think there’s only one barber anyway).
I have to say each time he’s done he looks good and he’s never complained.
I have seen that there often are longer hairs that look like they were missed, but he still looks good.
This barber cuts hair fairly well at a reasonable price.

Obnoxious people

I went in with reasonable expectations. I wanted a simple, even haircut for a fair price in a clean place. I got the fair price, but unfortunately none of the other attributes. I should say that the people who work here are very nice and friendly. However, the shop is dirty, as is the equipment, and the haircut I got is just lousy. If you want to spend $ 17 to look like one of the coneheads and possibly get a disease from the clippers and scissors which might have been cleaned in 1978, this is your place. Otherwise, try one of the numerous other barbers in the neighborhood, and you’ll probably fare better for a similar price.

I like a nice simple haircut, a zero in the summer, a one in the winter, sometimes a beard trim — the barbers here do a pretty good job at that.
I’ve had better, I’ve definitely had much worse. They’re very nice people and they’re convenient for me so I will keep coming back.
It’s small inside, there’re only two chairs and one chair to wait. They have two chairs set up outside, it gets pretty warm out there on a summer afternoon when the sun is on them but I’ve never had to wait more than 10 – 15 minutes.
I’m pretty sure it’s CASH ONLY.
