I’m going to make this quick. Cost for a hotdog is $ 3. They’re really small, taste like Vienna sausages, and the bun is soggy. The only reason for 3 stars was the incredible service. The hotdog artist took my money, was appreciative about his tip, and gave me my dog. Awesome Sauce! Overall, I recommend Sabrett’s if you’re in a rush, craving a hotdog with almost no flavor, and have $ 3 to throw away. 2016 Unilocal Review #16

The worst Italian sausage sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. In the heart of great Italian, these guys don’t even know how to spell the word. Secondly, their coney dogs; once again, they have no idea. cooked onions, beans in the chili, English mustard??? Are you kidding? Even the dog was anemic. THEBIGGESTRIPOFFINTHECITY!

Not a bad place for some Sausage. Ordered some sausages for me and my friends. It was serve fast, these really know how to please their customers. This place is best when you are on a RUSH, and you just wanted to quickly grab a food. This place is the best!

I went to New York with misplaced idea of how delicious the street dogs would be. I feel like i was lied to by popular culture. Those things are below average at best and lead to a not so good feeling inside your belly. Thank god for all the halal food trucks or I would have starved.

These hot dog stands are all over New York ! I had their hot sausage at one of their stands and it was pretty good … it was nice and juicy. It was kinda spicy but it didn’t really have a kick to it. It was cheap at only $ 5 for a hot dog and a hot sausage. 4 stars for the convenience, cost, and taste. The hot sausage was good, but not great … there’s room for improvement.

Dude, I love these stands. They’re everywhere when I need them. Yeah, I’m that guy. I’m walking around with a backpack and a map in my hand, sometimes I’m wearing a visor. I stop suddenly in front of you and make a 180 while walking, frustrating the crap out of you. But see, that’s cuz I’m a tourist wandering around NYC. I dunno where I’m going but I want to see and taste EVERYTHING. While in the course of my long day, where I am deliberately stopping and going right in front of you as you try to actually get somewhere important, I get hungry. I may not know all the cool spots the locals go to, but I can find me some Sabrett Hot Dogs! Real Meat? Who knows? Rat Meat? Possibly? Hormone Injected and antibiotic feed Rat Meat? Even more possible. Mixed with NON-ORGANIC tofu and cardboard(yes cardboard) to cut down on the high cost of Rat Meat? I think we have a winner! WHOCARES, it’s tasty, cheap, and allows me to continue asking you for directions and causing all sorts of foot traffic in your city.

Oh god — crappier-than-Costco hot dog that seemed so appealing at the time. Still is! $ 3! Love how the price isn’t displayed, see if you can check that out. But it’s just so great getting a weiner on the sidewalk.

I went to several Sabrett Hot Dog Stands in Manhanttan and Mid-Town. The hot dog is good, but it is not like the Coney Islands I remember as a kid growing up in Detroit. The Italian Sausage with peppers and onions was legit.

Sabrett’s hot dogs, the classic New Yorker’s poor man meal! Meat, starch and tarty veg… all in a mouthful! These plain old dirty water dawgs in push carts are littered all over the city. Like the Statue of Liberty, it’s indigenous to New York. This all beef natural casing frankfurter has a wonderful snap, which is key to any good hot dog. That’s probably why all of New York’s «Papaya»(Gray’s Papaya, Papaya Dog, Papaya King) joints chose this particular frank. The dogs are long, thin and spicy-sweet. For a sweet and tartier kick, add in Sabrett’s orangey-colored onion sauce. By itself, the onion sauce is nothing special. But with the mustard and ‘kraut, it is the perfect compliment. And oh, you’re in New York, under no circumstance is ketchup allowed! Ketchup are for 3 year olds(and for my gf too, still trying to enlighten her). I hope Anthony Bourdain is not reading this, he detests such blasphemous acts. Hot ‘kraut and a kiss of mustard is all you need. The Manhattanite special! Other note: Every cart varies, but they may also sell pretzels, knish, shish kebab, etc. Prices can vary from cart to cart. Typically it’s around $ 2-$ 3.

Yo, I just realized I got jip off a buck… Well two other people got the last $ 3 dollar hot sausage & left me with the original hot dogs that’s suppose to be $ 2 bucks. Since the hot dog was very satisfying with it’s loaded toppings, I want to give this spot 4 stars but I’m disappointed for not trying the hot sausage… I also heard that the Kabobs are delish, so must try it next time«soon»

Street meat. What’s not to love? No matter the time of day, the temperature, or my mood, I found that inserting a hot dog or piece of Italian sausage on flatbread through the large orifice in my face was a satisfying moment, a thing of beauty. I can thank the many Sabrett food stands that are peppered throughout NYC for that. Specifically, I want to highlight the colorful little fellow at the South Street Seaport who made his Italian sausages with such enthusiasm, pride, and efficiency that he managed to make me smile, pause and appreciate humanity, a subject that I find so disenchanting to think about at times. It’s hard-working individuals such as these that make NYC and the rest of the world tick. I think if there is any food to describe NYC it would have to be street meat. I mean, gosh, it’s the ultimate food of convenience in such a fast-paced atmosphere. While it’s not gourmet, and certainly not the healthiest, it gets the job done. Yes, the wiener is New York personified.

I really like hot dogs, but I waited 2 days before my departure.(didn’t want to chance getting sick) I can’t tell the difference between Nathan’s and Sabrett’s…I ate both of them plain so I can taste the flavor. These carts are everywhere, but if I had to choose, it would be Sabrett’s, but not by much. I expected a more larger frankfurter for $ 3
