I wandered here by chance with a friend as we were getting lost among the streets of New York. We saw that they were involved with the Restaurant Week event and decided to stop by and try it out. The place had a nice vibe to it and the servers were particularly friendly. I ordered the tomato, mozzarella and basil salad to start which was fresh — great way to start a meal. Following on from that I had the rigatoni with spicy Italian sausage which was fantastic. The pasta was cooked al dente, perfect! I’m not much of a dessert fan, but had the apple pie which didn’t disappoint. The pastry was lovely and flaky and the ice cream super creamy. The total for that delicious meal came to $ 25 + tips which was excellent value for a restaurant of Savore’s caliber. Hopefully I’ll be able to stop back soon!

Well this was a pleasure to walk into. After running from busy place to busy place all night this was the just the right spot to finish up the night with a little six course menu at 10:00pm. From the greeting at the door with a great table to the exit each staff member was wonderful, gracious and attentive. The food was well, check it out: endive salad with citrus, salmon carpaccio, prosciutto and melon, ravioli with duck, seafood plate, shrimp, cuttlefish, lobster, scallops, octopus and polenta then tiramisu with a cappuccino. Note: the octopus was the best I’ve ever had! Tender as a banana to cut through. Everything was beautifully paired rustic Italian country style. Few red sauces, just fresh ingredients selected and prepared with a lot of love! A nice comfortable buzz flavored the room. Everyone engaged with the people they were dining with. So nice to see people laughing, loving and sharing. I’ll be back for another delightful evening…

Our entire table of five thinks that our dishes were excellent. I had the bacon-wrapped scallops as an appetizer, seafood risotto special for my entrée and molten chocolate soufflé for dessert. The wine selection was also very good. Strongly recommend this restaurant. Was our 1st time. Will not be our last. Will be back soon.

To sum it up, not good, small portions and overpriced. We had scallops for appetizers — it was not fresh. My friend’s entrée with the grilled seafood, the lobster made her throw up 5 minutes later. Literally! Another friend had the sea bass, she said it was gross. Maybe stay away from the seafood? Overall, we all agreed that we were full(we ordered a lot) but felt empty. Wait staff was great, but that’s really about it. Oh, they charge tax on tips. So not cool. You’re not supposed to do that per NY Dept of Taxation and Finance: «Mandatory gratuities are different because they are automatically added onto the bill given to the customer. However, a mandatory gratuity is not taxable if all of these conditions are met: the charge is shown separately on the bill; the charge is identified as a gratuity; and the business gives the entire separately stated gratuity amount to its employees.» Maybe they don’t give all the tips to their employees? I would never come back here again.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch. We had the calamari as an appetizer. My husband had pasta and I had pizza with mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce. For desert I had tiramisu. I felt sick a couple of hours later. I don’t know whether it was the pizza or the tiramisu that made me sick but my husband was fine. He didn’t try the pizza or the tiramisu. So go figure. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not a happy customer.

I don’t understand why some of the reviews for this place are relatively good, or why people give a place three stars and then say they didnt like it. If you really dont like a place then give them one or two stars. Anyway, this place is a tourist trap and a total rip off. On the weekends they have two girls outside asking people to come in. Now I know why. The probably dont get many repeat costumers. We had the calamari, which was bland and boring, and a small portion, and an 18 dollar pizza which consisted of four small, thin slices. The pizza was just ok, and very small for the price. That is all.

It was fancy dinner time party at Savore with about 18 of us at the table. A few of us arrived early and the staff was very friendly and happily sat us down inside. We ordered a few glasses of wine and ate bread while we waited for everyone else to arrive. Pinot Noir? Merlot? Yes please! Once everyone arrived we ordered a few more bottles, tons of appetizers, and even an entrée for everyone. A few cool sounding cocktails on their menu, but half a hit and miss. I will stick with wine here. The menu was a little hard to understand sometimes, but eventually we figured things out. It was so much food, but let me try and work my way explaining a few and how yummy everything was to me. For appetizers we had things ranging from ahi, calamari, asparagus, and two different types of mushrooms. oh the mushrooms. This was the highlight of my dinner. They were so plumb, flavorful, and the sauce with them is perfect. I was either on a crazy mushroom binge or it was really good. The risotto was nothing special. There is a weird hummus/buttery sauce that came with the bread also. We had to get multiple things because each plate had such few items and as we passed it around I felt so bad taking just a little scoop. Then it was entrée time. Everyone had their own, but I went once again with a mushroom dish. Pappardelle with fresh chanterelle mushroom and melted pecorino cheese. With some cheese spread on top and crushed pepper, it was tasty. Probably 4 glasses of wine already in I was having a great time here. Of course my small tummy was not ready for dessert so I passed on it. I did manage to have a bite of my friends’ strawberry tower of some crunchy thing and whipped fluff. It was sweet. Overall I think Savore is definitely a great romantic wine and dine place. Quite pricey, but most definitely worth a visit if you have the time.

This place is great. Went here after having a light lunch down the street since the weather was so nice. We decided to come here for drinks and coffee since they had a open patio and looked very nice. As soon as entering we were greeted by our great host and server who is from Ecuador. He was very kind and very social. I ordered the cocktail(don’t remember it’s name) that had passion fruit vodka. It was so good I ordered 2 more. I’d deffinitly come back for that drink and to try out thier food!

This is a great hidden(is it hidden? It might not be hidden…) gem in Soho. Delicious fresh pasta and pretty reasonably priced for the location! I got gnocchi 3 ways and it was great.

I came here with a bunch of friends for restaurant week. We were a table of eight… the only table in the entire restaurant. The restaurant week menu had nothing that interested me at all. Nothing, zip, zero, nada. I decided to order two of my favorite Italian dishes; Crispy fried artichokes and orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage. The artichokes were bland, greasy, and anything but crispy. I feel like they went with the simple approach on this one but it came across as just blah. The pasta was undercooked, the broccoli rabe was overcooked, and the sausage was so greasy. I literally ate one bite and couldn’t stomach any more. I have never been to a restaurant where I simply just did not eat the food. It was awful. The restaurant just felt off. We were the only table in there, the menus had the name of another restaurant on them(so weird), and the food was a complete fail. There is no reason for anyone, ANYONE, to come here. You are better off going to the Olive Garden in Time Square.

Pasta is not that great. Extremely noisy and very tight seating. The dessert was very good and service could have been better.

My office had its holiday party here, so this is a review for a private event. Savore did a great job with us. They set us up in the back area of the restaurant and set up 3 long tables. We had a number of servers who were constantly refilling our wine glasses and passing hors d’oeuvres. The hors d’oeuvres I liked the best were the arancini, the tuna tartare, the mini cheese pizza, and the fried manchego. Dinner was buffet style. The entrees that really stood out where the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and so flavorful, and a pasta in vodka sauce. It was a great experience and I will definitely return, and I hope that my office has our holiday party here again.

Stumbled onto this place and was enticed by the hostess to give it a try. Service started off really slow even though it wasn’t very busy. The bottle of wine I ordered was excellent but I am going to give myself credit for that not them, and it took several minutes to arrive at the table. The octopus appetizer was actually quite good and the only reason I am not giving one star. Once they finally took our order the food actually came in a reasonable amount of time. It took almost 20 minutes to bring the check at which point I got up and left the restaurant, as I was leaving some other waiter and the hostess thanked me for dining to which I replied that I hadn’t paid and if they wanted to be paid I would be outside. The hostess was a little awkward about this but not in a bad way; you could tell she was being sincere but it really wasn’t her fault. Anyway she kept apologizing to which my only response was that It was ok although no tip would be received by me this evening. I really wanted to like this place but overall it’s just an average restaurant with bad service.

Small cozy restaurant that was able to accommodate my group of 15. When we trickled in, they were able to seat our party immediately without the entire group present. Staff was friendly and helpful with the wine recommendation. I tried the lamb chops, which was perfectly cooked. Their calamari is definitely on the top of my list. I recommend this place for a casual to semi-fancy dinner with good food in an atmosphere that allows for conversation.

A cute, cozy little spot located on the edge of SoHo. I enjoy coming here because it’s away from the main area of hustle and bustle in SoHo. In the Spring and Summer time, the restaurant opens the large windows and you get a nice out door airy feel. Jon and I came here for a quiet, «romantic» dinner for the two of us… and also because we were REALLY craving pizza on our way home. We also really love brick oven pizza and this place definitely has pretty amazing personal sized pizzas. The pasta is home made and super fresh. They have a special menu for prefixe but we opted to get things separately. The table bread is also fresh and they give you this amazing spread that I’m obsessed with. Overall, I’ve had pleasant meals here at Savore– it honestly is hard not to when the food matches the service. Also, I really love how cute this place is!

Seems like a popular place for groups. Not only was there my group but the entire restaurant seemed to be crammed full of other large parties. This place is TINY. Our group of 11 got a nice space by the front but the tables and seats are very tight and not all that comfortable. The bread was fine — typical sliced loaf but the dip it came with was terrible — reminded me of watery hummus. I got the tagliolini(like a black spaghetti) with shrimp and cherry tomatoes. There was a lot of pieces of shrimp so that was a plus but the dish was really oily. Service was good — our waitress seemed a bit flustered if only because she seemed to be the only waitress working but she was always checking in on us, making suggestions, refilling our wine glasses etc. They were nice enough to light a candle and decorate a birthday cake we brought with us, albeit at the price of a $ 7 slicing fee per person(!) I’m not really a fan of Italian food so there were no big expectations. It wasn’t bad but not memorable either so you can take it or leave it.

I don’t know why this place is getting dinged with 3.5 stars — it’s a solid 4 going on 4.5 at least. And the owners should get the hours fixed on Unilocal as it’s showing as being closed on Saturdays but every time we’ve come here it’s been on a Saturday — probably losing some business. First of all — any place that cares enough to bother with a wood burning oven automatically gets a rating bump — because pizzas will almost always taste better. As for the appetizers, we’ve tried the asparagi and the gamberi — the asparagus comes with what I remember as eggplant and mushrooms and what sealed it for us was the pleasant and not overpowering amount of garlic. When we first saw the gamberi we didn’t know what the hell to do with it but once we dug past the lettuce and get at the rissotto and the shrimp, we realized it is a really well put together dish. We have not tried the entrée selection and instead opted for the pasta selections — so far the fettuccine, the rigatoni, and the tagliolini were all very good. I think Savore styles itself as a wine bar… since I quit drinking I really don’t care about this as a selling point but from what I can see the selection seems pretty good. We’ve been there 3 times now so the staff have gotten to know us and they treat us very well — that said even when we first went they were very courteous and efficient. It was nearly empty at Saturday brunch, which seemed to me a shame given the quality on offer — good for us as we got to sit down right away, but bad for business as this is a place that deserves a lot of success.
