The Low Down Scores New York is one of several gentlemen’s clubs operating under the Scores brand name and the second one I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, the first being the massive Scores Atlantic City in the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. I arrived at the club at around 9:00pm on a Friday evening. As with all of my gentlemen’s clubs reviews, I rated the club on a scale of one to five, with five being the best possible score. Location & Facilities — 5 Stars Scores New York is located near the Lincoln Tunnel and six blocks from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It’s also conveniently close to many of the top Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs in case you wish to tour several establishments either by yourself or with a group. As with pretty much all of Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs parking is virtually non-existent, but the club is easily accessible by taxi, Über and various forms of public transportation. The one-story club itself features six flat-screen televisions and an elaborate dancer stage with video screens and a smoke machine which provides a very hypnotic display. The club may seem small, but it’s a standard size for Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs as the sky-high city rent doesn’t justify building mega-clubs like you’ll find near Las Vegas or Miami. Staff — 5 Stars As with many of the high-end gentlemen’s clubs in Manhattan, the service at Scores is impeccable. As is customary with the local high-end gentlemen’s clubs, when I arrived I was greeted and escorted to my seat by the floor attendant Nick. I have to thank Junior, the floor manager on duty, who did an excellent job of providing me with a tour of the club and explaining all of the amenities that are available. Food & Drink — 5 Stars While the club itself offers top-shelf bar service and a wide variety of domestic and imported beer options, the club’s most impressive feature is the highly-acclaimed Robert’s Steakhouse located within the club itself. You’ll have the opportunity to share an intimate conversation with friends or co-workers while the lovely ladies of Scores are a few feet away for your visual pleasure. Robert’s Steakhouse offers diners a wide variety of poultry and seafood options(ranging from $ 28 to $ 43) as well as their dry-aged prime beef selections including rib-eye, porterhouse for two, t-bone steak and filet mignon(ranging from $ 51 to $ 53). Truffle lobster mac and cheese, double smoked bacon, sautéed wild mushrooms and steamed asparagus are just a few of the side dish options available on their impressive menu. Dancers — 5 Stars The beauty of the Scores New York club itself is only outshined by its mix of very attractive dancers. I had the fortune of receiving an amazing couch dance from Val, a tall brunette dancer who caught my eye as soon as I walked in. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to find a no-pressure atmosphere, as the dancers were friendly and outgoing but didn’t try to drag me back for dances or the champagne court as soon as we start conversing. Value — 4 Stars As you would expect from a high-end Manhattan gentlemen’s club, Scores New York isn’t for the cheap or frugal, but your money does go pretty far at the club. The cover charge is $ 30, so be sure to download your free admission pass from the Scores NY website. The club also offers a great happy hour special every Thursday, offering free admission and two free drinks from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Website & Social Media — 5 Stars The Scores New York website provides all of the resources you’ll need to make the most of your time at the club, including directions, dancer pictures, party packages as well as information about their in-club restaurant Robert’s Steakhouse. The club website also provides links to their Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare pages for up-to-the-minute information about club news and events. In Brief… Scores has become one of the major gentlemen’s club chains by providing a quality club atmosphere, beautiful dancers and excellent customer service, and their New York City location is certainly no exception.

Went there only once. As most, I heard about it on Stern. I was celebrating a birthday with a friend. What I can say about the place: The door is $ 20, but you can print a voucher online. The drinks are about $ 18, which is expensive, but not for this kind of place, besides, it’s only high end liquor brands. The dances are $ 20 and besides from what I’ve read, I didn’t get any trouble from the girls, nobody tried to overcharge me or anything. The girls were all extremely hot and friendly. Definitely a MUST.

I went here on a date. I thought it was a sports bar as I was Unilocaling. WHOOPS. Regardless — the atmosphere was very tacky and strip club-esque(not«gentleman»), but the food was REALLY good. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the Double Smoked Bacon. Let me just say — the bacon was probably one of thee best side dishes I’ve ever had(and I’m a total foodie). Ridiculous. My mind was blown. Four stars for the food. Two stars for the atmosphere. ZERO stars(awarded to myself) for my assumption that this was a sports bar. All in all — a solid 3.

$ 30 cover(even for girls), $ 20 drinks. The stage was really nice and the girls beautiful, but it very much had the atmosphere of a sports bar and that took away from the fun. I don’t like sports TV mixed in with my strippers.

We ended up here on 7⁄3 as a spontaneous thing since one of our friends is getting married the following week we thought it b fun to go & check out some strippers, why not right ?? We stopped by around at 730 – 745 there was no admission this was a plus, not sure why tho maybe because it had just open or maybe because we were girls? No clue either way good that we didn’t pay. The place itself is not bad, nice setting, couches & stage. Once seated we got some drinks, Jack & Diet not bad & some Stella Beer can’t go wrong. Our waitress was great, nice & friendly .One girl sat with us & she was pretty cool friendly as well. The few girls that danced on stage looked bored out of their minds I mean I get it it was early & not a lot of people there but at least pretend to look somewhat interested & not like u are being tortured. As far as our time there it was ok served it’s purpose for such a last minute thing. Now my reason for the low rating next day I checked my credit card & there was a $ 400 dollar pending charge from«Roberts Restaurant» needless to say I was like WTF when I realized it was for Scores after checking my receipt I was pissed our bill was $ 65 w tip how the F @@ K do u get $ 400 from that !!! I purposely waited to add the review since I had to see what happened with this huge mishap in the end it took 4 days for the charge to clear with the right amount but even so that’s so shady to add such a huge hold on an acct . If u stop by this joint make sure to keep your receipt & double check that you are not being grossly over charged.

Planned a bachelor party here, and the process was relatively easy with the help of Tara. Here are pros, cons, and tips: Pros: 1. With the purchase of one of the VIP packages, our party was picked up in two SUVs which was wonderful. On time too! 2. We were greeted by the manager(who was very welcoming) and Tara, and were seated front row near the stage. 3. The ladies were beautiful, polite, and not aggressive. 4. Very clean space despite rumors. Cons: 1. Expensive — Around $ 300 for a bottle. It is indeed a money pit but worth it for special events. 2. Our«personal waitress» for the night was wonderful up until she didn’t know I had purchased the VIP package online, and became aggressive with me about paying for the two bottles that were part of the package. 3. You are charged a Pre-Authorization fee($ 400) if you choose to use a card. This was removed from my card 5 days later. Tips: 1. If you buy one of the VIP packages online, bring a printed receipt with you AND save the online receipt you receive after paying in your email. After showing this to the manager, our waitress apologized to us, and we received free passes for our next visit. Overall, it was a great time. The groom had a blast. 3 stars for the ladies and accommodations. 2 stars were removed for the prices and aggressive waitress at the end of the night.

Money Pit… $ 50 entrance fee… which was jacked up to $ 115 for a 2 hour open bar. Either way, you’re being ripped off at the door. And to ice the shit cake, there’s a mandatory $ 3 coat check. Charging a Ulysses S. Grant to get in the door, and you can’t put my coat on a goddamn hanger for free? I’m not even angry… that’s just flat out sad. The girls: nothing extraordinary for this sector of the entertainment industry. Very attractive? Nice Smelling? Often large-breasted? For certain. But five times better than the handful of other strip clubs I’ve been to, therefore justifying the five-fold price? Psht… The vultures constantly hounded us for dances and massages, sometimes twice within thirty minutes. Waitresses couldn’t get my drink order right(you’d think that for $ 115, they could discern the difference between a vodka tonic and a vodka soda). And a few times, they just flat out didn’t bring my drink at all. I wound up having only three drinks, two of which were incorrect. Two stars, because dances are still $ 20, and the stage for the performers is absolutely brilliant. But when you throw a huge heap of trash on top of this highly-polished money-vacuum, it’s hard to ignore the trash.

Ok, so I am going to upgrade the club a bit. Went back this past weekend for my friend’s bday and had a MUCH better experience. Bouncers covered our door free and hooked us up the entire night. What exactly does this mean? it means that when this drunk guy was bothering me, the bouncer could see my annoyance and happily stepped in. Girls were friendly as usual.

Me and my buddy went last night to check the place out, everything was fine until one dancer schemed up to rip my friend off for an extra $ 20 pleading that she did 2.5(go figure) songs, the dancer unhesitatingly called one of those bouncers on the floor of and he said ‘Yaw!!, what’s going on?”, like he was trying to embarrass or something, so I had to grab my own wallet and pay the extra 20 bucks just to avoid any unnecessary awkwardness . To add insult to the injury, another dancer who did another lap dance for my friend minutes before that saw what happned and she took advantage of the situation byrequesting an extra $ 20, also with the same justifications, I was really shocked at that, moment !! I had to talk with one person from the management named ”George” and I tried to explain that there might be a slight misunderstanding here and the dancers did the extra thing for my friend since he bought her a drink($ 18), and also clarified that my friend wasn’t paying attention to songs’ endings and beginnings and I implied that I’m interested in your club and I and my friend will come again and again if you consider to waive that extra, shockingly and in a very rude manner he replied back with ” NO! you have to pay to the ladies’.‘ Surprisingly, my friend was out of cash for the extra 20 so he handed the guy his credit card, when we got the receipt there was an extra $ 4 on the bill !! I hope this review will help the management to do better and adopt a different strategy when it comes to customer’s satisfaction . Here’s my email

After a reunion dinner, my friends and I wanted to do something most of us had never done before, so we decided to hit up Scores. My friends and I all had a lot of fun and although it was pretty wild environment, it was unexpectedly cozy and allowed me and my friends a chance to just chill and catch up. I heard there would be performances or some kind of themed event at the club but didn’t see any when we went, hence the 4 stars for now. I’ll be back though and will update when I get to see a performance. There’s also apparently UFC flights, which my MMA-loving friends were excited to hear.

After hearing about all the good things about Scores on the Howard Stern show, I decided to make a visit while on vacationing in New York. The club is located in Chelsea, near the mid-west part of Manhattan island. To get into the club«sans» the $ 30 cover charge, I submitted a request through their website earlier that day for voucher that was sent to me, via email. This got me into the club for free. When I walked into the club, I was surprised by how small the central stage area was, when compared to other clubs that I have been to. The seating wasn’t particularly comfortable or good for lap dances. On opposite ends of the stage there were VIP sections for more private dances, but the requirements for getting into these areas was a bottle service fee. Upstairs, there were champagne rooms that cost $ 600 to get in. The club was also connected to a fancy restaurant. The girls were for the most part what you’d expect from a high end strip club. Very hot with the standard variety. However, there were one or two girls that didn’t fit the standard criteria. I guess they were there for diversity; satisfy customers with particular tastes. The music played was mostly hip hop which isn’t my kind of music. I was hoping to hear songs like ‘Crazy Bitch’ and ‘Girls, girls, girls’. Not tonight. One thing that I recommend if you decide to visit this place, is that when you enter the club, go right to the bar and ask how much drinks are and what the bartenders name is. I bought two drinks at the bar, a beer and a vodka soda for $ 22. This is standard and expected; $ 11 drinks. However, later that night when I was sitting at a table near the stage, I order a mixed drink from some waitress that looked like Roselyn Sanches and she came back with it and charged me $ 18. That pissed me off. But she was so hot, I decided to leave without arguing. Other reviewers also stated that they’ve been ripped off by dancers who charge for more lap dances then they performed. I didn’t have that particular problem. However, one thing that you can do to prevent this is to pay them immediately after each song. This way, there is no question as to how many dances were performed, unless the girl is really dumb when it comes to math. Lessons learned: 1. Ask upfront the bartender how much drinks are and find out their name. This way you can tell Roselyn that you were told by Bob that it would only be $ 11 and take it up with him and management if there is a discrepancy. 2. Pay for your lap dances immediately after each song so that if the girl sucks at math, she can’t rip you off.

Sigmund Freud once said, «A woman should soften but not weaken a man.» The business plan of Scores works contrary to the good doctor’s advice, but all attempts to harden a certain part of this man during his one and only excursion to this fabled mecca of smut were met with stiff rejection. My experience has been that you either fully support the adult entertainment industry, including strip clubs, or denounce it based on a steadfast belief that it constitutes moral heresy. As far as I know, there is no middle ground, no hotly contested debate as to the potential merits of a woman using her thong bikini as a de facto money clip. My best friend asked to be thrown a nontraditional bachelor party. As far as I was concerned, his request excluded strip clubs, a stripper leaping out of a mock cake of commodious proportions, and a stripper using the tired guise of law enforcement professional as a precursor to revealing her true identity as someone completely unfit to bear law enforcement credentials. Our evening began with a respectable dinner at an Italian restaurant on the Lower East Side and continued with some decent jazz at a nearby club. Just when I thought I was doing a respectable job of adhering to the«nontraditional party» edict, enter that man whose job it is to play the part of lilliputian Lucifer upon the shoulder of the intoxicated groom-to-be. Drunkard X almost immediately downed an ungodly amount of liquor, which was the likely catalyst for his prodding the guest of honor to partake in the cliché premarital ritual of getting robbed by professional cockteases. The man of the hour(MOTH) took the bait and we were off to stretch of block in Chelsea that was once a stronghold of the Gambino crime family. We arrived at the strip club, one best man, one groom-to-be, a substantially intoxicated clown, and, oddly enough, the wedding photographer. It was perhaps the most merciful gesture of the evening that the photographer decided against documenting the events at Scores – for what scrapbook of wedding memories and keepsakes is complete without a cherished photo of the groom shoving a wad of cash into a stripper’s panties? Mired in a strange visual amalgam of darkness and the occasional flashing strobe light, Scores is the kind of place you might expect to see MDMA-addled ravers gyrating to throbbing techno beats; instead, Scores defies that expectation by unleashing a passel of undraped«dancers» on the hordes of horny men, all to an insipid soundtrack of early 2000’s hip hop/R&B fusion. It’s important for me to allude to Scores’ playlist that night, since the musical stylings of Ja Rule are hardly what I would consider an aural aphrodisiac. Still, you don’t have much time to analyze the music selection in a strip club when the predatory priestesses of ribald revelry are zeroing in on the empty space next to you on a plush sofa. MOTH almost immediately took a liking to a young woman who detected his scent of drunken lust and took a seat on his lap. As Ja Rule’s «Put It on Me» blared through the speakers, the dancer put«It» on MOTH’s knee, then his leg, and, finally, his crotch. When the endless medley of unbearable hip-pop songs finally took a breather, MOTH jumped up and made a beeline for the bar, leaving his seducer lapless. With MOTH no longer the steady paycheck he was just moments before, the stripper took up some empty real estate on the seat next to me. «Soooooo,» she purred softly. «Your friend owes me $ 250.» «$ 250!?» I shot back, unwilling to believe that what just unfolded before my eyes wasn’t a genuine display of affection between two consenting adults. Why let something as trivial as commerce come between true love? «Yes,» the temptress replied. «And we don’t accept credit cards for private dances.» Private dances? You mean that very private moment when you mounted my best friend and left a lustrous sheen of vaginal discharge on his dockers in front of 200 other men. Oh, THAT private dance. With no fight left in me, I ponied up the cash and watched the stripper abscond with it, presumably to engage other drunken dupes in private, yet costly, moments. I found some relief from the bare-skinned bonanza at the bar, where I slowly drank a Diet Coke, avoided eye contact with naked women, and prayed for a swift end to the festivities. As luck would have it, the instigator of the evening’s sojourn, Drunkard X, ended up in the general vicinity of the bar. I emphasize«general vicinity» because I certainly would have noticed him removing his belt and pants had he done so at the actual bar. Unfortunately, Drunkard X’s impromptu audition for the role of Most Unlikely Score’s Dancer was brought to my attention by two strippers who insisted that he vacate the premises. I was all too happy to oblige. Stripped of all of our cash at a strip club, we realized it was the club, not us, who had scored.
