When I first joined SS I saw almost immediate results in body comp and just about immediate results in energy and vitality. I would highly recommend reading Fred’s book first, «The Slow Burn Fitness Revolution» which is available on Amazon and hopefully will be in e-book format soon. The book can be read in under two hours but gives you a great holistic view of what you are about to undertake in terms of training and even diet. The gym is the cleanest gym I have ever been to. It’s cozy but has more than enough room to accommodate at least three personal sessions going on at one time. While I have not worked with all the trainers, the ones I have worked with have been enthusiastic, helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. Like any personal training sessions they are definitely pricey but the view here is that with this type of work out, you really only need 1 – 2 sessions per week to see results. If money is tight you can do one home session(which is detailed in his Book) and one gym session per week. Because you are using one slow set to failure, working out at home is not that hard and minimal equipment is needed. I can’t think of anything I’d change about Serious Strength and it’s a pleasure to be able to focus on training when actually training and not be barraged by gym full of people.

The slow burn system taught at Serious Strength by Fred and his fantastic staff will get you strong and keep you that way for the long haul. Their nutritional advice and strength training can’t be beat! Highly recommended.

Excellent 1 on 1 training. Slow burn is an entirely different approach which gave me a completely new way of looking at fitness and weight training. Highly recommended.
