I always stop here when I’m getting my lashes done. Pizza is perfect and thin with a crunch to it. U can also get two plain slices and a soda for $ 5 in a busy area. Pizza is super greasy and the ones with toppings aren’t as good as a fresh plain slice. Everything I want in a corner pizza shop!

I would say it’s okay. Craved a slice of pizza near a friend’s house and we somehow ended up here. The place was packed! There wasn’t anywhere really available to sit so we had to grab our slices and go out in the chilly NY weather to eat them! The line was a little long but didn’t take longer than 10 minutes to place our order and receive it. I had a slice of margherita pizza. It was a thin slice with good sauce to cheese ratio. I would have liked it cooked a little more. I guess I’m used to the coal fired pizza places.

Got a couple of slices @ Slice, while walking around NY city. That was some good pizza. I really enjoyed what I got. What’s the best pizza in NY can be fighting words. Everyone has there own type of style pizza, but you won’t go wrong by the Slice… :)

Absolutely, positively nothing to write home about. Or, a Unilocal review, even. But I’ll give you some bullet points! * The slices are thin and crispy but flavorless. * Tomato sauce is… watery? Not sure how. * It’s a small space(like most places) but the way they actually use it is infuriating. Even when there are 5 people there it feels packed Basically, if you love pizza — this place is not for you. If you’re ok with pizza and just need to grab a slice, this will do.

Not brick oven as advertised. Undercooked and cheap ingredients. Homeless people station and all around the place

Avoid! 1 slice of cheese and tomato on thin crust was $ 6!!! It was the same quality as $ 1 dollar pizza! AND it was served at room temp.

Best slice of cheese pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The cheese had so much sharp flavor.

So I went today and not only the cashier asked me to have a beer with him but I asked for my slice to go and they gave me a burnt slice. I couldn’t eat it but I was already too far to go back. I usually like their pizza but today it was Awful!!!

My mum and I quickly stopped in before getting the subway and loved it ! It was fresh and crispy and full of flavour. I seriously can not see how there are so many bad reviews. We are from Australia so found the $ 4 per slice to be cheap. It was quick too, don’t have a bad word to say about it.

Everyone in my party thought this was one of the best pizza pies we’d had in a long time and we eat a lot of good pies. In fact, we make pie. We had the spinach ricotta, plain cheese and margherita. The crust was extremely well done… good chew, crispy, tasty… the kind of crust you eat all of because it’s that good. I’m not a garlic knots person but if they’re made out of the same dough as the pies, they would have to be flat out amazing. Sauce was exactly as it should be… was tangy and tomatoe-y and not over-slathered. This was an extremely well balanced margherita. It might be that this place is inconsistent given some neg reviews because they seem completely out of synch with our repeated experiences. Inconsistent is not good because you don’t know what you’re getting. Maybe we’ve been lucky.

Perfect drunk food as they’re open very late. To be clear, I’ve had this sober and still really good. Drinks and food are all very cheap. Greasy like none other but that just adds to it. This is my favorite quick NYC pizza joint. Garlic knots are bomb, too. Yum! Love stopping through this place.

Best pizza sauce! Very tomatoey, like I like it. I had the margarita pizza slice and loved it. Others in my group had the BBQ Chicken pizza and said it was one of the best she’s ever had.

Not sure what people were expecting when they stepped ínside this place. It is your run of the mill pizza place that hits the spot when you are on the go. This place is not gourmet or anything upscale. It is the Type of place that you get a special deal of 2 plain cheese slices and a soda for $ 4.99. It’s a Basic place to meet the Basic needs required, whether sober or not. No bathroom to speak of but a Nice little spot on a busy street to grab a cool drink(they do have beer available) and eat a pizza, salad or other typical italian fare.

Decent pizza but pricey. If not motivated by staggering drunkenly toward the subway I probably would have passed. Seems like the place has potential — and it was busy hocking some interesting pizzas — but I’ve definitely had a lot better.

I came here after REALLY enjoying myself at a work happy hour nearby. Even though I was both hungry and drunk, this pizza was disgusting. Cheap ingredients and no flavor. I would have rather had a $.99 slice, which is a few levels above the quality of this place.

It’s just ok. We were hungry so we just went to the nearest food we could find. The taste of the pizza is OK! but nothing memorable. Seating is limited, since this is a in and out kind of place.

Despite all these spot on reviews, I was ravenous, wanted nothing other than pizza, only had 15-minutes to spare, and had no option within those parameters but to see whether all the reviews were true. My issue with Slice isn’t their namesake(I actually quite enjoyed their lasagna and buffalo chicken slices); it’s the lack of service to match the price tag. I can deal with $ 4 – 5 for a quality slice when I’m smack dab between Chelsea and Union Square. I can’t deal with an ice cold slice being thrown in an oven, take out literally a minute later, put in a box cold, me having to tell them I refuse to pay for cold pizza, then having them put tons of customer service and quickness into taking my money, and subsequently watching that same pattern happen with EVERY customer, AND them talking/laughing in Spanish whenever someone handed back cold pizza. On top of all that, they confused everyone’s order, giving out wrong slices, and then just leaving unclaimed slices on the counter for customers to figure out on their own. Sham of a business that I don’t plan to ever give business to again. And really don’t recommend that anyone else do. I hate to say it, but this is a place I’d love to see put out of business.

I had been here a couple of weeks ago after a late night drinking. Slice is such over-priced nonsense. Be prepared to spend $ 4 – 5 a slice and that’s just for like a basic marinara with mozzarella slice. Obviously a joke. I mistakenly think that I thought that was as close as to cheese as I was going to get at the time. But it’s near the train and you’re too tired to scavenger around the city for a better option because the f train is shining in gleaming glowing hues of orange that you’re tired and want to go home. I don’t even like their pizza because its passable ok and not really special.

Every time I go to a cheap pizzeria I get the same thing: 2 slices cheese and a soda. At Slice, this combo costs 4.99 + tax. The pizza was well cooked and the balance between the crust, sauce and cheese was perfect, yet the pizza really left something to be desired: taste. Even though the quantities were right(something many cheap pizzerias struggle with), the pizza was essentially flavorless. The employee who took our order seemed annoyed by our presence, then gave a funny look when we didn’t tip. I actually considered leaving a tip in case he decided our pizza would be better with spit. The best part about Slice is eating at one of the tables looking out, people watching on the corner of 14th and 6th, but with a city full of pizzerias, I probably won’t be coming back here unless I stumble in drunk on my way home.

If only pizza didn’t kill a diet regimen… PIZZA: although I had only one bite of the spinach and ricotta pizza, it was the best bite of my happy-hour-that-creeped-into-11pm night. The crust was CRISPY and the spinach and ricotta were so so so fresh. SERVICE: SUPER-FAST! VENUE: tiny, clean, totally empty Thursday late night
