My first impression of the office was great. It was clean, front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. Once I got in the dental chair though I felt that they were trying to nickle and dime me for everything. It was extremely uncomfortable that they never closed the door to the room I was being worked on in(the lobby was right outside the door). People just kept walking in and out and at one point there were 5 people in the tiny room with me for no reason. The dental hygenists seemed like they were in training and were unsure of what they were doing. When they were setting up for my xrays the front desk staff member came in and asked the hygenist«Do you know how to do this?». I would hope that if they were handling patients alone they would know what they were doing. The hygenists also never introduced themselves and just awkwardly started sticking their hands in my mouth. I’ve never had a cleaning where it took so many people. At the end when one of them flossed my teeth she was rushing through and didn’t even stick the floss between any of my back teeth. Being in the office for 40 minutes I was told I needed/should have about 5 different procedures done in the future and felt very pressured. I have never had an issue with my teeth in my life and went in for a routine cleaning and left feeling very disgruntled. To me it seemed like the type of Doctor/office that recommends unnecessary procedures so they can make more money off of it. I will not be back.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harvey for a few years now. She runs a very professional practice using all the latest technology(for instance using CERECCAD-CAM machining to turn custom 3D virtual inlays into perfectly fitting inlays right in the office). I had gone through many dentists I did not like in the city before finding her via a family referral. I trust her to make the right decisions to keep my mouth happy. I’ve had many procedures with her including fillings, root canals, cleanings, inlays, and onlays. In the rare event an onlay or other procedure has had an issue(for instance a couple days after leaving the office) she has prioritized fixing the issue usually at her own expense. She is highly trained to perform advanced procedures and yet she still performs even cleanings herself to ensure she knows the ongoing state of your mouth. Provides reliable pricing upfront. Some advanced operations can be naturally expensive but only because she does not compromise on quality and she will occasionally waive or lower costs for unexpected procedures. Takes all insurers. Beautiful new office and great location next to Lex Ave — 59 St station. If you want a top-quality, personally attentive and caring dental practice, this is it.

I am very happy to give the highest recommendation for Dr. Harvey for all your dental needs. My teeth were in very bad shape in 2007, a few were crooked and I had a lot of cavities and recession in my gums. Dr. Harvey completely fixed my teeth over the next few treatments and I could not be happier, my teeth have never looked this good and I have zero problems now. Dr. Harvey is very professional and extremely knowledgeable and you know you are in good hands once you step in the door.

I was contacted by Smiles Park Avenue threatening to file a lawsuit against me for this Unilocal review. I’m removing my review despite it being true and will just say you should avoid going to Smiles Park Avenue Dental. they will sue you if you don’t like them.
