Dr. Lantner and his staff are great — friendly, professional, and nice. The office is clean and modern. My dental care usually consists of just a cleaning and check-​up, so I especially appreciate his awesome and very gentle hygienist, Margarita.

I am not a person that posts reviews but Dr Lantner deserves 5 stars on every aspect.
He is thoughtful, gentle and efficient. He never made me feel it was for the money but always about me and my health.
In addition he is a fabulous staff that provides friend and excellent service and I never experienced any wait time.
Their bi-​annual cleaning is fantastic and truly is preventive care for a happy and healthy mouth!

Regular customer but had emergency root canal. Was told to come in within the hour. Perfectly dealt with. Caring and professional. You can’t ask for better than that.

I was referred to this office by a coworker a few years ago, and I have always had a not-​traumatizing experience. Over the years, dentists have made me super nervous, but the staff and Dr Lantner make me feel at ease every single time. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgable! I also really appreciate all the reminders (texts, emails) I get because, knowing me, I WILL forget.
Even after I’ve switched employers and insurance, I still come here. I mean, that should tell you something if I’m willing to pay more for a standard cleaning every 6 months… I also come all the way from Bed-​Stuy to get here.

My gums didn’t feel violated after the cleaning. That might have something to do with my renewed commitment to flossing, but I think the hygienist was also very skilled. She was also friendly as is Dr. Lantner.

Dr. Lantner is simply the best dentist.
I am 46 years old and started getting dental work when I was 11, with my first root canal. Five root canals, two bridges, one implant and numerous cavities later, I’ve experinced both good and bad, and lots in between.
I have been going to the same dentist, in Ohio, for 35 years. When I couldn’t make it back to Ohio to see him, I tried to a few dentists in New York until I found Dr. Lantner.
He is skilled, knowledgeable, gentle, honest and actually fun. His staff is amazing as well. Everything about the whole experience is positive.
I still get nervous every time I go, but feel at ease once I step inside the office due to the professionalism and general warm feeling at Dr. Lantner’s practice.
I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Lantner for approximately five years after searching long and hard after some very bad experiences with dentists. What you see is what you get with Dr. Lantner… he’s a nice, honest, smart individual who just happens to be a great dentist. He does not try to see me on crowning every tooth in my mouth when I go for my check ups. In fact, he replaced a crown at no cost that he had done two years prior simply because he no longer liked the look of it. His staff is professional, prompt. It’s a major relief to no longer dread the dentist and actually feel relaxed about going. I would recommend Dr. Lantner (and have) to anyone!

Amazing! i finally found the perfect dental office!
I’ve been going to my childhood dentist for years, but making it home to the midwest every 6 months for checkups hasn’t been working for some time. I’ve tried a couple of local dentists, and found both to be so poor that trekking out to Ohio seemed a better alternative. One glaring issue that seems to be the norm, at least around here (and confirmed by other friends) is the consistent up-​selling of services. Case in point– I had some minor gum sensitivity, and one of the very junior dentists (less than 2 years out of dental school) who I was trying out advised on a crown as the solution. I asked if there would be any other alternatives that would be less painful/​expensive, and she said that flossing would also mitigate the issue in a few days. Um, shouldn’t you lead with that? All set with you and your practice, «Doctor».
Which brings me to Dr. Lantner. I received a recommendation from a friend who’s been a patient here for years. I went for my first appointment and was very pleased. I showed up on time for my appointment and wasn’t kept waiting for long. I was ushered back to a small room where the process was explained to me upfront so there would be no surprises. Kim cleaned my teeth with a vigor I haven’t experienced before, all while putting the fear of God in me to get on the regular flossing train. I’m not great with keeping up with this, but her «scared straight» bit worked because I now have floss at home, at work and in my bag because I’m terrified of not flossing. Who says people can’t change? I also had x-​rays and an oral cancer screening before meeting with Dr. Lantner who was very thorough and not one bit of a used car salesman. I liked that as everything was being done, it was explained, and I got the distinct impression that my health and overall oral hygiene was the focus, and not using my teeth as a means to generate revenue. There is also lots of great technology– it is a paperless office, and the group is clearly on the cutting edge of dental science.
It was a bustling office, but everyone was lovely and accommodating, making this as great a dental visit as is possible. Bonus points– they also offer evening hours!

Dr. Lantner is a great dentist. You really feel like you are in good hands, he knows what he’s doing. I had a front crown break and was obviously quite upset but he not only fixed the issue but made me feel at ease right when I came in. I am really glad that I found Dr. Lantner and his team.

I LOVE this office. Only been there twice so far (once for a regular 6-​month cleaning, once for a bonding). Pain-​free (that’s saying a lot, I am sensitive!) and FAST (but not in a sketchy way). I felt very comfortable with both dentists and both hygienists I saw. The receptionist was also extremely nice and worked with me because I couldn’t find my insurance card. And they didn’t push to sell me any additional services (like whitening). Amazing service.

Great dentist and staff. All procedures are done quick and painless. Normally going to the dentist can be a traumatic experience but that isn’t the case here at all. State of the art equipment and you can even watch TV while getting worked on! If you’re looking for a dentist this is the place to go.

Best dentist — i’ve been to quite a few, and always a great experience. the hygenists are very careful when cleaning not to make you uncomfortable, and very knowledgable. Fillings are NOT painful here. Dr. Lantner is very friendly, and explains everything easily. Technology and office — very up to date. wait time is hardly any, i rarely wait more than 8 to 10 minutes — compared to the other places that left me waiting 1 hr, that was great. Also, most importantly, he isn’t looking to make money off of you, and perform unneccesary procedures. I also like the email reminder, and you can confirm your appointment via email.

1^st time going to this dentist today and it was such a pleasure. The office has all the latest technological advancements from seeing your x-​rays right in front of you on a tv screen as they take them to cancer screenings to electronic forms to the amazingly friendly and knowledgeable hygienists. Esther is fantastic! Dr. Lantner himself is great and professional.

Great dentist. You never have to wait in the office, everyone is friendly, and he isn’t in it to rip you off. I love him.

It’s a Midtown private practice so it should minimally be a clean office with thorough care… and it is. Their dentistry is top notch from my experiences. However, be forewarned. They will inundate you with reminders for your appointment from every medium. You’ll receive three emails, two text messages and one or two phone calls reminding you of your appointment up to a full month before it happens. I appreciate the option to opt out of the email and SMS reminders though. What I don’t appreciate, is hounding me to be on time for my appointment and then making me sit for 20 minutes past my appointment time when I show up 5 – 10 minutes early. I’ve been going here for a few years and I have been seen by the hygenist/​dentist at my appointment time only once that I can remember. That is unacceptable to me. Maybe I should call them twice a week asking them if they are going to see me on time.
So, great fast service but they need to respect their patient’s time.

6 month cleaning today and he didn’t show up. I at least appreciate that I am in and out in 40 minutes flat.
