No complaints here. This place has a very friendly staff and quick service. This is a perfect place for a quick breakfast, hot or cold drink and snack. My boys had a ham and cheese bagel and I had an almond croissant. All were delicious. The hot chocolate had a heart on top also delicious. My son commented that it was the perfect temp. Not too hot to drink right away but hot enough to enjoy what hot chocolate is supposed to taste like. One of my visits, I had the matcha latte. It is very good. Not sweet at all, so if you like sweet, add your own. I love the atmosphere of the café. Thanks for being here! I will make sure I come back every time I visit. A must try coffee place if you haven’t yet.

I was recommended to hit up this spot while visiting by my cousin, who knows I adore a great iced coffee! They have a fantastic iced coffee and a nitro brew iced coffee as well that has a unique texture! Both were super delicious and they offered some great baked treats as well! You won’t regret a visit to this and skip the Starbucks!!!

Nice place in Harlem with a lot of soul. Coffee is good, breakfast and lunch are tasty and affordable. Had a toast with ricotta cheese and fruits for breakfast and loved it! The staff is super friendly.

This place is Amazing. The food is great as well as their teas and I assume their coffee as well(although I don’t drink coffee). Their service is EXCEPTIONAL! Anabelle, Val and Pria are super personable, friendly and take care of every need that you may possibly have! There is always a smile on their faces and they are great people to start your morning with or work on your book with at lunch time! If you’re in the Harlem area and are looking for a great café with great food, great people, great tunes and everything in between come to Sugar Hill Café!

One of my favorite NY coffee spots. Clean, cool vibe, great focus jams, and macarons(key to my heart). Absolutely no complaints, though one lingering desire is for outdoor seating.

My chai latte was amazing! With hint of cinnamon. Their toast with avocado, hard boiled egg and the other half with avocado, capers, and smoked salmon was delicious!!!

If you live in the Heights and you don’t want to go to Starbucks because of all the traffic and noise., well there is an alternative. Sugar hill café, My gf and I stumbled across this place a few weeks back and since then we been coming here every Sunday for our morning coffee. It’s clean, quiet, the coffees nice and strong, and their sandwiches are bomb(it’s hard to find a good cream cheese and lox up here). You’ll understand if u been living up here for quite some time. So yes I give this shop a 2 thumbs up!

Nice little neighborhood coffee shop. The drip is excellent and I enjoyed my ham and cheese on a toasted bagel. Unfortunately, the almond croissant I had was awful — soggy in places and dry and others — it must have been from the previous day, as I visited first thing in the morning. Anyway, friendly service, reasonable prices(and a REALLY nice bathroom) and great coffee!

I love this place. Modern with great energy, but small enough in size that it still touts a quaint vibe. The coffee was wonderful(I just had a latte and my friend had espresso), and I really enjoyed sitting at our little table with coffee and a parfait as the morning passed. This place is bright and cheerful and is perfect for mornings, study sessions, or coffee dates. Really wonderful. Another review on here says they give you a free cookie if you give them a 5-star rating on Unilocal.I think that’s shady, but let it be known my 5-star review came without this knowledge!

Cannot believe it took me so long to pop in, but I hardly go out around here unless its strictly business! Definitely my new go-to for a pick-me-up, for its all-around charming ambience. I had a matcha latte(inspired by good reviews) and a bite of my friend’s chicken jambalaya — deeelightful.

Employees were super nice, this place is adorable, and my latte was so good it actually inspired me to study. Definitely coming back! Note: there is internet but it’s only free for an hour! Proceed with caution.

Cozy coffee spot in the basement of a historic row house. Our order Coffee — perfect Latte — perfect Ricotta Toast — Delicious, but not what we expected. Think cannoli filling spread over two pieces of sourdough, topped with fresh berries and dusted with powdered sugar. Yum. Yogurt Parfait — Ehh, with all the other delicious looking food choices available, probably wouldn’t order it again. The pre-made parfait left me craving a little crunch. Ya know, soggy granola. Ugh. Staff — very friendly

Chocolate chip walnut cookie is delicious. If there’s one thing I come back for, this would be it. Chai latte is pretty good; light and flavorful. One of the gals here really enjoyed the matcha latte so I’ll have to try it next. Regular coffee is just. Regular. I still stand by deli coffee, unfortunately. Still, it’s a pretty chill place to catch up/hangout in. Good vibes from the baristas.

Sugar Hill Café JUST opened up a couple blocks from my house — and I could not be more thankful! It is a small location, in the«basement» of a brownstone that boasts great music and great roasts!(I’m a poet and didn’t even know it!) Blame my lyrical misadventures on the caffeine overload and euphoria from my quick conversation with the manager here — he assured me they would be offering vegan fare once the kitchen is up and running! WOO! Everything is coming up, Harlem!(Moving on from rhyming and onto pop culture references…) Anyway! Getting on to the seitan and potatoes(because meat is gross), the location’s décor is pretty much a carbon copy of the café on Broadway and 148 that shall remain nameless — to the point where I think it may be owned by the same people? Their free internet is pretty fly for a WiFi!(Back to rhyming…) Fast, easy to log onto and no WiFi code needed(unlike other nearby cafes.) They have a great, albeit small selection of tea and great coffee roast! I will update this once the kitchen is up and running and I have had a chance to gorge myself into an early grave.
