Super cool décor and ambiance! Great service! This place is busy, and loud, and the staff is great. They yell your orders to the kitchen. And they’re very fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I got a pastrami Ruben, and it was awesome! Every element was perfect! The bread, the sour kraut, the pastrami and the Russian sauce was all perfect!

I have been going to Tasty for approximately 12 years. And they NEVER disappointment me. Everything they make is simply delicious. My ultimate favorite is the Cabo Wabo wrap that comes with Jalisco sauce and the Gunner. Yummy. The staff are always friendly. Place is clean. And you get your money’s worth. You do not get a skinny sandwich! If you are in Washington Heights, you definitely have to drop by and grab a TASTY sandwich.

If you want an overstuffed sandwich that will last you two meals, this is the place to go! They have an extensive menu of hot/cold sandwiches, wraps, etc. The club sandwich and the hot mess are my favorites and they give you a side of potato salad, macaroni salad, or cole slaw to go with it too. They’re all decently priced for the amount of food you get too.

Good variety of tasty sandwiches. They really pack in the meat(at least the one that I got) and the price isn’t so bad either. Average of about $ 10. They have a fair amount of seats and it is right outside of the subway station. I’ll be back for sure to try more sandwiches in the future!

I LOVE this place! I order from them through seamless once or twice a week(Silvio Sandwich w no tomatoes) I literally CRAVE this sandwich on my days off and have to have it! Prosciutto, FRESH mozzarella, basil & olive oil on a seeded hero(sometimes it’s French bread which I don’t love but hey, sometimes bread deliveries don’t come), it’s SOGOOD! I’ve also had the Julio Salad, hot peppers, fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, tomato, balsamic dressing, etc, etc… you know, all the things that make a salad good! The sandwiches always come with a little taste of coleslaw, potato or macaroni salad(all tasty, I always forget to order an actual side of it). Delivery is always quick, I’ve only had to call twice for order delays and customer service has always been pleasant, helpful and apologetic for the delay… considering how often I order, twice is not a big deal. Today, I pulled out my phone, pressed re-order and seamless told me they didn’t delivery to me anymore! My heart fell into my stomach… I was so bummed! I sucked it up and called. They DO still deliver to my area, thank GOD! Probably a seamless glitch which they informed me they’ll iron out. Again, another pleasant over the phone experience. As someone who runs a small business I understand how difficult it is to execute perfect delivery service(and seamless has little interest in being helpful to the business in those terms). You guys are doing a GREATJOB! Thank you and KEEPITUP!!!

Always bustling and for a good reason because their sandwiches are amazing! I ordered The Zombie hero. If you like basil, their basil pesto is amazing. There was so much in the sandwich I only ate half and was counting down to dinner so I could eat the other half! Definitely a local spot in Washington Heights. Limited local parking available. There is a limited amount of seating inside the restaurant. Great dècor! Guys working behind the counter are friendly and get your order out quick during the lunch hour!

This is a really reasonable deli that afforded me to purchase a breakfast sandwich without breaking the bank so early in the morning. I’m very simple and like pretty much the same thing all of the time, egg whites and American cheese on a buttered roll($ 2.30). It was ready fast and I was fairly pleased with the outcome. But they could’ve added a little more egg whites…

The food here is good but the customer service sucks really bad I just ordered and they tell me one second leave on the phone for 5 minutes and 29 seconds then hangs up on me when I called back I say damn bro you left me on the phone and then hung up he’s like oh I’m sorry… there’s no excuse for leaving your customers on the phone waiting then hanging up the phone now I just hope he got my order right cause he sounded like he had a Di** in he’s mouth when I was placing my order

The interior is much nicer than I expected, nice staff and a good place to sit and have lunch. However I feel like there are 2 very different cooks that give a very different experience. My usual is a Pastrami sandwich. No matter how many times I’ve asked the rye bread never gets toasted, I don’t understand what the issue is. Sometimes the Pastrami comes nice and crispy from the grill and stacked nicely. Sometimes it comes in a giant fatty lump and is almost inedible. The blue cheese dressing they use on their sandwiches is very potent FYI

This place live sup to it’s reputation. There are about 40 sandwiches to choose from with fabulous names. There’s so many options you can think of. This deli is no frills but makes a mean sandwich. My husband and I really enjoyed our choices and can’t wait to go back. This place gets REALLY crowded around meal times so keep that in mind. There is some seating, but not too much. It’s cash only.

One of the very few great sandwich spots. Im going to make a very difficult and bold statement — ALLTHESANDWICHES I HADSOFAR(including the turkey burger) tasted delicious. The ingredients blend amazingly well with the vegetables and toppings, synchronizing perfectly with the meat and the choice of bread. Their JALISCO sauce goes great with almost everything. Sandwiches are heavy and expect to bring half/some home from time to time. Staff are very friendly and fits right in the loud and buzzing shop. Place is a bit too cramp and the prices are very fair for the taste and quantity. I’ve had the Gunner, Wild Child, Sanchize, Hot Mess, Charlene, Finding Nemo, and as i mentioned before their turkey burger. I always have it with Stewart’s Crème Orange Soda — goes well. ill have your leftovers!

I was in the area for the day and wanted something to eat so where do I look for some grub, you know it good olé Unilocal.I checked my bookmarks and saw quite a few places I wanted to check out in the area. Tasty Deli had some great reviews and I remember one of the reviews stating that the sandwiches were very filling which was right up my alley since I was starving. Parking is very limited in the area and I lucked out on finding metered parking right in front of the deli. I arrived at the deli right around lunch time-1ish and it wasn’t packed but not empty either. When I walked in it seemed a lot smaller than I thought with a few tables on the side for patrons wanting to sit and eat. I looked up at the various menus on the wall and was overwhelmed. I was like a kid in the candy store with so many options and just didn’t know what to choose. It really took me about five minutes to make up my mind because there were several menu items that tickled my starving taste buds. Thank goodness the staff were pleasant and patient which they should be especially for newbies like myself. I finally decided on the«hot mess» sandwich that consisted of «Red spicy chicken, Cajun turkey, grilled onions, guacamole, jalisco sauce and jack cheese on a toasted hero.» I requested no guacamole and waited about 5 minutes for my sandwich AKA hero AKA sub. For $ 9, it was a thick and fulfilling sandwich. I ate half for lunch and had the other half for dinner. I started eating my sandwich in my car on my way home and made a mess with all the juice and stuff coming out as I bit into the scrumptiousness. The different flavors with a kick of spiciness was soooo good. I usually don’t like my bread toasted because it gets hard and falls apart but this bread was lightly toasted and still soft and warm the way I love. That«hot mess» sandwich lived up to its name and was worth every penny of $ 9. I will definitely keep this place bookmarked to check out what other sandwiches can live up to that«hot mess.» LOL

Great local corner deli with a large menu and fresh food. I always get the Gunner its skirt steak, melted pepper jack and Vermont cheddar cheese, portobello mushrooms, grilled onions, Russian dressing, and hot sauce on a toasted garlic hero. Good for a stop off the subway or if your driving by.

Soooo I’ve been living in the area for about 4 years and have stayed away from this place given the first year I lived here I saw something nasty. Now this was a long time ago and I can’t even remember but I do remember it turned me off from going there. One of the workers either picked his nose, scratched his ass or something to that effect and I was DONE! Anyway, last Month I was on and came across it while looking for a change from the normal things I luau ally get in the area. So I crossed my fingers, said a prayer that the man didn’t work there anymore and got a sandwich. It was extra messy but beyond filling. Can’t remember the name of the sandwich but it had chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers and guac. You get a pretty good bang for your buck here. Recently I ordered a shrimp quesadilla. Also a good bang for your buck. Huge quesadilla with shrimp, cheese, onions and peppers. They also give you a pretty large side of guac and sour cream. You get salad and rice & peas as well. WIN! But anyway, I would give it a higher review but I still can’t completely get over that first time I went. #jesusbeafencetomyimmunesystem

The place was clean and neat and the guy behind the counter provided a lot of information and suggestions to the people trying to figure out what to order(me being one). Finally made up my mind and the sandwich was ready in a few minutes. It’s close to work so I’ll probably try it again although it’s far from the best Sammy I ever had. And at $ 10, it’s no bargain either(maybe for NYC it is?).

This little deli is on your right hand side as you walk out of the north subway entrance on 168th street. This place makes a meaaaan sandwhich! A great place for quick meal, meal with friends, or any meal of the day really. First time I ordered from Tasty Deli was online from seamless. Delivery was fast since I live 1 block away. We ordered Hot Mess, Overstuffed Roast Beef sandwich with extra tomatoes and lettuce, and Onion Rings extra crispy. Personally I am not usually in the mood for hot sandwiches and fried foods however the Onion Rings were delicious! The Over Stuffed Sandwiches are amazing to me, and it left me thinking about which one I was going to try next for a whole week(literally)!! So then I returned in person this time and got a Maple Turkey Over Stuffed Sandwich again with extra lettuce and tomatoes to go. The guy making the sandwich guessed that I would like no mayo which I concurred and added that I want mustard! The sandwich was yummy and lasts me around 2 meals since I am a smaller human being. This morning my boyfriend and I decided to wake up early and have nice brunch before he headed off to work on Memorial day. I order the Cajun Turkey Overstuffed Sandwich and a small Cappuccino. My boyfriend ordered the same thing except with Onion Rings and Fries. The maple turkey was much sweeter compared the the cajun turkey which is interesting to me because I am a sandwich newbie(*cough* I only ate subway in California *cough*) For the Cappuccino, they added 2 packs of sugar and topped it off with some cinnamon however there was not not much micro foam so its more like a cinnamon latte. I did notice they were probably nicer to me than they were to my boyfriend, but he didn’t say anything. So far, I am always amazed when I see my sandwich. Like how does it stay together without a toothpick? Its like the guy has perfected the art of making a sandwich! Anyways, I am looking forward to trying all of the different flavor turkey and meets they have for Overstuffed Sandwiches so I am definitely going to be a regular as long as I live in the neighborhood!
