I moved from out-of-state and needed a new doctor. First appointment was OK. She just wanted to ask her list of questions. She said she doesn’t like putting people on a lot of medication, so she cut the doses of mine(without seeing the records from my doc back home). She didn’t have my billing set up(despite all the information having been sent to her by ZocDoc), so she charged me $ 75 for my appointment(my copay is $ 0). Second appointment, she realized I have«ObamaCare.» She told me she did not care for that insurance and I should find a new doctor. She said she was going to have her billing person find out how to get her out of accepting it and though it might take months, I should consider finding a new doctor since even her current long term patients will either have to pay out of pocket or find a new doctor. She offered to have me continue with her and pay out of pocket, but I opted to cut ties. I wouldn’t be so sour about the medicine change if 1. it worked for me and 2. she didn’t dump me 20 minutes into the second appointment.
