I am a chocolate feen and that is an understatement. We came here with high hopes and left with a big dent in our wallet and an unsatisfied fix for our chocolate cravings. If you’re looking for amazing chocolate or even great chocolate I would go somewhere else.

This is a very tiny shoppe. You can’t really look around, without the employee’s watching over you. In this type of store, I feel there is a pressure to buy something, because there is not much to browse around for. They usually feature holiday pieces, and a small selection of a la carte pieces. They have a cute lil duck piece, in milk, dark and white. I recently went into the shoppe for a med bar of milk($ 9.)a small bar of dark($ 5.) and one a la carte piece of chocolate($ 3.). The bars were good, defitnely. However, Teuscher is more expensive, then most other high end chocolate shoppes, and I do not feel that their chocolate is any better. If you are a fan of Teuscher, I recommend going to their other location. This shoppe is very small, and their inventory is(probably) not as good as the other location. I can’t confirm this because, I have not been to the other location. But, I do know, that I waited 2 weeks for them to receive a shipment of medium milk chocolate bars. I would stop by, every other day, to check in, and it took 2 weeks for them to get it in… Seems odd to me. A plain milk chocolate bar, seems like a top seller and a staple item to have in stock.

The store has interesting designs and flavours, however I would not say that the chocolate is significantly better than Lindt or some other European brand. While the prices are many times higher. The cheapest piece is $ 5 and a gift box with one truffle is $ 15.

Five stars for their champagne truffles. They are amazing! Honestly a must try for any chocolate/truffle lover. The shop is very small and by small I mean, face the counter, turn around and you’ll be facing the wall or open the door and risk hitting someone in the shop. Still, the shop is very compact as they managed to squeeze alot of merchandise at this location. They have a variety of different sized boxes of their magic champagne truffles and a few other chocolate delights on display. Perfect as a small gift, especially for the holidays. It’s pricey but it’s worth the splurge when taste and quality are taken into account. Stopped by on a Sunday right before closing time which is 6pm.

Teeny tiny storefront off Madison. This was more convenient than the Rockefeller location and still had all the goodies. If you’re looking for some really decadent champagne truffles, do try these. They’re made with Dom Perignon centers. I absolutely love the dark chocolate version, milk chocolate one is too sweet for me. I even got my friend from the UK addicted, although unfortunately there’s no Teuscher in London… This is a splurge but well worth it!

For the 3rd time I went to buy gifts for a friend at this location and although the website and sign on the door indicate that they would be open they were not. I will go to the store on 5th Avenue from now on even though this one is right around the corner. It is rude, inconvenient, disrespectful and unprofessional. I do not understand how an owner or manager thinks that this is an acceptable way to run a business.

If you’d like to be violated, there are 2 ways to do so here: looking at signs like«$ 96/lb», and simply standing in the closet-sized space and getting brushed up against by strangers. Very good Chocolate doesn’t quite justify the experience or price tag.

Stopped by here to get a birthday gift for my future MIL. Customized a small box of assorted chocolates and choco-covered orange slices and peels. Shop is tiny. 2 counter people were nice and helped me with no pretense. Service was fast, too. I was in and out within 5 – 10 minutes.

I always tell I on’t really like chocolate. And that statement is sorta true, but it’s more cause I’m really picky when it comes to chocolate. I grew up spoiled when it came to chocolate and chocolate shops. Family holidays in Switzerland, and care packages sent when we weren’t on holiday has made me a lover of good quality Swiss Chocolate. And that is what I found at Teuscher Chocolates. This cute boutique located on the UES is filled with lots of nom nom choices that are a feast for the eyes, and more of a feast one you buy some. I dare you to eat just one! I highly recommend the butter crunch truffles and the any of the Fructose sweetened chocolates. aka the best sugar free chocolates you will ever have! Worth the trip and worth the price!

Ok, if you were going to only be able to have one more piece of chocolate before you die, make sure you get it from Teuscher. This is the best chocolate anywhere. It is probably also the most expensive, but hey, they do fly the chocolate in from Switzerland. My two absolute favorites are the Champagne Truffles and the White Chocolate truffles. The champagne truffles are amazingly rich and will just make you happy. Don’t waste your time with the mini champagne truffles; that would just be an insult to your mouth. They come in milk and dark chocolate. The White chocolate truffle is so delicate, so light and yet rich at the same time. I think the truffles are about $ 4 each, so be prepared to skip Starbucks. I have also had a few of the other truffles. I honestly can’t remember not liking something I’ve had here, and considering the price, that is saying a lot.
