I really enjoy their lunch deals. It is a dollar less but I noticed that the portions is a little bit smaller. It is also a good thing because I never seem to finish my whole Pad Thai or Pad See Euw anyway. The thai iced tea is based on how they make the batch daily. Sometimes it may be too sweet and sometimes it’s perfection after a stressful day. My favorite appetizer is the fried calamari. Wonderful spot between soho and little italy.

The food is consistently good, the recipes are better than most. This Soho Thai joint is great for lunch, the specials are plentiful and cheap and last from.11:30a to 6pm, so no need to rush. Curries and noodles are a solid bet, the papaya salad is really good, chili lime goodness…

My tom Kai soup was too salty and the sweet and sour tofu was cold.:(. Very disappointing.

I’ve had the massaman curry here and had no complaints so expected the rest of the food here to be decent. The pad thai was very boring, not that spicy and a little too greasy. Since it’s ridiculously close to work, I will likely return but… sticking to the curry.

Lunch specials until 6pm. Quick and delicious. VERY reasonable prices, especially for the city. Nice gem in soho. Get their coconut chicken soup– nothing short of DELICIOUS.

I ordered the massaman curry with brown rice and chicken and I loved it! Even though the chicken was pretty much bland, the curry sauce with potato on too of the chicken completes the whole dish. It was my first time trying out the mamasan curry and it tasted way better than I expected. I’m glad that I stopped by here today and will definitely come back!

So I ordered lunch for my friend and I through GrubHub for this restaurant. I’ve never had an issue with GrubHub orders before. I placed the order just after 12p.m. At 12:10, they said my food would be delivered between 12:50 and 1p.m. However, I received my food at 1:25p.m., almost half an hour after the stated delivery time. The $ 9 squid salad I ordered was a pitifully small portion. And my friend’s lunch order of Pad Kee Mao was totally cold, which I assume means that the order must have been sitting at the restaurant for a while. I am never ordering delivery from Thai Angel again. If you’re going to this place, the only option is eating in.

Really a top-notch joint. Jasmine tea to start with a few angel wings(with sweet chili dipping sauce) mmmmm love those wings! Get spicy pork pad thai with extra sprouts or the Larb salad. Food comes out fast and piping hot — delivery is fast, too. Great lunch deals, recently raised their prices, but still pretty cheap considering!

For the typical NYC Thai restaurant, Thai Angel is good! I like the food here. It’s american Thai style so you’re not going to find anything on their menu that you haven’t seen on ever other Thai menu here. That said, they do a solid curry(ask for SPICY if you don’t like the bland thing) and I enjoy the Veggie«dumplings» that are little green puffy triangles of fried yum. Nothing particularly noteworthy… except for their DRIEDUPBRICKS of sticky rice. Seriously, I love me some sticky rice and 3 of 3 times I’ve ordered it here it seems as if it’s been sitting in the plastic wrap not for one day but possibly 2 or 3! El Grosso. Was inedible! I’ll still order order from them but no sticky rice for me…

Gotta agree with Melissa P’s review, this was some of the blandest food I’ve ever had, nevermind the blandest Thai food. The curry puffs were really dense, it looked like the dough had been crushed and compressed before being fried, they were only vaguely«puff» shaped but were otherwise alright. I asked for the pad kee mao very spicy and it lacked any flavor whatsoever. The noodles had no color to them, there was almost no sauce, just completely tasteless. There’s also no seafood choice for the protein option, just beef, pork or chicken.

I came here today shopping throughout SoHo. My expectations were pretty high especially since I walked a great deal from where I was. First, the service was so bad, I’m shocked. The server doesn’t even greet us or come to us, he simply just points to a table. Then, he brings the menus with a such an attitude. Our good was ok, we ordered the calamari, the soup with chicken, mushrooms, and coconut milk(which tasted like dishing washing soap in milk), Chicken pad Thai, and chicken rad nah. The rad nah was so salty. Maybe we will have better luck next time, if there is a next time,

This is one of those stores that is slowly swallowing Little Italy. I heard a tour guide recently condemn the way that Little Italy is being swallowed up but I believe customers are the one that ultimately choose which stores survives. I also hate walking though Little Italy and being subjected to the desperation by stores to go in and try their food. For my first day at my internship, I was bought here for lunch. I got the coconut curry with chicken. I am not sure what is called but I know it begins with a H if that helps. Ya it was some I never hard of and I am terrible with spelling. The sauce was rich and had a wonderful coconut taste. The chicken is like the chicken you would get from chicken and broccoli at a take out restaurant. I believe their lunch special is only 8 dollars and last until 6pm.

Pad Thai was garnished with a generous heap of bean sprouts but to my surprise, there wasn’t a wedge of lime. however it was fine without the lime because the noodles were bursting with flavor on its own. It would have been perfect if the noodles weren’t over cooked. They were so soft and chopped up that I could eat it with a spoon. On the other hand, the curry was almost perfect. It was just the right balance of flavors and the chicken was tender. The interesting part was that they put peas into the curry.

This is one of my co-worker’s favorite places. Not much around to eat in this area so this is one of the top 5 places we go to for lunch. The lunch special(which lasts until 6pm!!) is reasonably priced(around $ 6 – 8 depending what you get). The place is nicely filled during lunch hours, however we were seated right away. Service is not bad. They do not rush you. They also filled up our water plenty of times before we even had to ask. Food is pretty decent. I got the red curry and it was exactly how I would have expected it to be/taste. My co-worker always gets the«Tom Yom Noodle Soup Lunch Special» so it must be pretty good too!

On New Year’s Eve of 2011, my boyfriend and two of our friends decided to grab dinner here. Although it was my boyfriend’s suggestion to revisit this restaurant, it wasn’t his fault for the poor quality of food and misrepresentation at this restaurant. We didn’t anticipate for the food to be so unsatisfying. Our dinner was family style. Fried Calamari: It was our second time ordering it and ultimately, not the best fried calamari we had. The fried calamari was crispy, but bland even with the sweet chili sauce. I give this 2.5 stars out of 5. Grilled pork salad(mixed with green papaya & chili vinaigrette): My friend decided to order this, but wasn’t too happy with it only because I’m sensitive to very spicy food. The presentation of the dish was adequate. Pad Thai with Beef: I love Pad Thai. This Pad Thai was almost perfect because it had the wedge of lime, crushed peanuts, and bean sprouts, but there was one imperfection and I wasn’t too happy with it. The beef was overcooked. I really don’t like it when beef is overcooked or dry, because it’s unappealing visually and to the mouth. I’m not sure how the beef was so overcooked. It was pretty hard to chew. Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken: I’ve had pineapple fried rice a few times, but this was probably the worse ever because it was so bland and all you can taste was the oil which didn’t make my boyfriend too happy. The only ingredient that had flavor and was actually good was the canned pineapple chunks. Sad isn’t it? Massaman Curry with Mixed Vegetable & Tofu: Typically, when you order any kind of curry dish at almost every Thai restaurant, a bowl or plate of rice is accompanied with the curry. However, when my friend ordered this only the Massaman curry came out. My boyfriend asked, «Doesn’t a curry dish typically come with a bowl of rice? Because I’ve seen it at most Thai restaurants?» and the waiter said, «No. You have to order it separately.» So we did, a bowl of rice was $ 1.00. I think out of everything that was ordered at our dinner, the Massaman curry was the best. It was flavorful, creamy, and delicious. I don’t think tofu goes well with it though. In addition, Massaman curry is probably the least spicy curry dish, but on the restaurant menu, it was classified as spicy. When we tried it, it wasn’t spicy at all. Misrepresentation much? My boyfriend and I didn’t enjoy our dinner very much at Thai Angel Cuisine. He was very disappointed with the quality of the food, this doesn’t happen too often. We’ve vowed that we probably won’t be returning here again.

Went here for a quick late afternoon snack since I had a really light lunch. J and I shared 2 dishes which wasn’t bad at all. The restaurant was clean and quiet on a Saturday afternoon with two or three tables being occupied. The staff were quite attentive and friendly also. Crab Roll — I really liked this dish. Different from American crab cakes, this crab roll was chewy and actually tasted like crab. I’m assuming the crab meat was minced and made into a paste and then pan-fried. Tasted lovely with the tangy sauce it came with. Chicken Pad Thai — Nicely cooked, the noodles tasted just right. What I like? The bean sprouts on the side. Other places like to mix it in, but what if there are people that don’t like bean sprouts? Thai Iced Tea — I’m not a big fan of this drink. It just taste a bit odd to me. They really sweetened the drink here, so if you got a weak sweet tooth, you can skip this. Overall, not bad. Though I wouldn’t purposely make a trip to this place, unless I’m in the area.

I order here for lunch often. They have a decent lunch deal that runs pretty late and also reasonably priced bottles of wine/beer. The portions are quite generous. I love the panang curry! It’s very smooth and not too spicy– a good balance! The restaurant is quite spacious, it isn’t very cramped. You can sit and enjoy your food and company without feeling overwhelmed by any neighboring patrons. I also really like the décor here, the place is very homey. Everyone is very friendly here– will be back again!

This is my favorite Thai lunch spot near work, and I wish I worked closer! I order my usual lunch specials like pad thai and chicken massaman curry. Not only are they delicious, the portions are pretty large compared to others in the area! And for only $ 7 – 8 bucks?! Their thai iced tea is made just right, and I heard they serve it for just a buck on weekends! Not only do they serve good meals, but the restaurant is clean, spacious, set up nicely and not cheesy like the décor of other Thai restaurants(sad to say). I recommend this place as your lunch spot, break spot, or even dinner spot after you’ve had a long day of shopping in SOHO!

Last year, I came here for the very first time with my friends because we were around Chinatown. Indeed, we made the right choice! We tried some of the dishes from the Chef’s Specials on the menu. You can never go wrong with those dishes hehe. We ordered the Crispy Scallop Chili Sauce(crispy scallop topped with sweet chili sauce) and *Chicken Peanut(sauteed chicken with sweet chili and vegetable in peanut sauce) and *Peanut Vegetarian*(assorted vegetable, fried tofu topped with peanut sauce served with jasmine rice). We loved the taste of all the dishes. It was a perfect Authentic Thai Dinner! The Thai Iced tea was great too!
