When I walk into The Donut Pub I feel like I am finally in Manhattan. The Donut Pub is a classic coffee shop atmosphere. There is fair seating if you want to have a cup of coffee and read your newspaper. When I visited I just stopped in to grab a donut. I ate the Bacon Cronut and it was to die for. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area even if you just grab one to go!

It’s open 24 hours. The donuts are amazing. There’s a 1 train stop right in front of it. You walk in and feel like you walked into the 70’s, it has a great atmosphere. Make sure to try the smore croissant donut… it’s life changing.

Before all of the ‘gormet’ shops entered the scene The Donut Pub was one of the places to get a donut, right? I can see why — classic counter with swivel stool; rows and rows of donuts; as much coffee as you can drink. It has all the makings to be an excellent shop. For me though — it falls a little flat. And it’s not because I’ve become spoiled by some of NYC’s other donut shops… I just find Donut Pub a little underwhelming. The vanilla frosted donut I ordered was fine. * A little small, but fine. The coffee I got was fine. ** The whole experience was fine. It’s a solid choice if you’re in the neighborhood and want a treat for breakfast but it’s not the type of place I’m going to go out of my way for. * Next time I’d probably try one of their cake donuts… other reviews say the red velvet is pretty good. ** Coffee + a donut = $ 3.50

This place is awesome. Great variety. Please try the marble, it’ll knock your socks off. Guys behind the counter are really friendly and will guide your donut experience! Better than the more hipster donut places in Manhattan

They are open 24⁄7! If you’re craving something sweet(which for me, is all day, everyday) and you’re in the West Village/Chelsea/USQ area, I highly recommend stopping by this place!

Not a pub. Just a donut shop. Really good donuts, though. And the cutest nicest people working behind the counter!

I’ve walked by this place a million times and never went in, I wish I came here sooner. Really really goood donuts. We had a French curler, red velvet and a Blueberry donut all of them were sooooooooo good too hard to pick a favorite.

Nice variety of donuts at this shop. Mostly cake donuts and a few yeast donuts. To me all were standard donuts that didn’t stand out. The old fashioned probably to me are the ones to go as their«cronut» versions were pretty pricey. Nice flavors of chocolate sea salt caramel and bacon maple cronuts. Flavors were good but the cronut itself came off a bit dry and overly cooked. Almost too heavy and chewy rather than light. Also the cake donuts were overly powdered with the cinnamon for any of the sugar or cinnamon flavored ones. Stick with a old fashioned to get your donut fix here but to me it’s all overly priced for donuts. Nice service though by the counter folks.

Came here a few times as my nail place is near by. Although the shop is not impressive looking, it somehow matches the«Donut Pub» name pretty well, it has a «bar» area where you can have hot coffee with donuts. They have a good selection of donuts, every time I went there, they have about 15 — 20 different donuts. My favourites are Oreo Ring, Honey Dipped Ring, French Crullers and different flavours of Cronuts. Price here is slightly more expensive than DD, but cheaper than most other chains. The quality and taste are way better than DD though(although it is probably not that difficult). They are way more tasty but lighter, it’s not very greasy. If you fancy some simple donuts, not way over the top, here is a good place to go.

I stumbled on this place by accident. Was out with one of my friends and my boyfriend was at the Yankees-Astros game. Thought I’d be a good girlfriend by having treats waiting for him at home. All I can say is WOW! Absolutely amazing! The maple bacon Cronut was indescribably good — the texture and taste out of this world. The vanilla frosted donut was the best I’ve ever had. The marble were OK, just a little dry. The honey glazed and red velvet were also phenomenal. The gentleman working behind the counter was incredibly sweet and made great suggestions. The establishment itself is literally a hop away from the 2&3 train line. Will be back in the future for sure!

I really don’t get all the hype about this place. I’d heard of the Donut Pub from my fellow foodie friends but it was never on my list of places to check out. I’m just not in that area of town often enough, but(un)luckily for me I happened to have gotten lunch right around the corner and my friend and I were in the mood for something sweet. We stopped in a bit after 12 and it was pretty empty aside from three or four other people. The older Italian woman working behind the counter was not only unhelpful but she was also extremely pushy. My friend and I were both standing out of the way of the register to examine the donut offerings available, there was no one else in line, but she kept barking«Whaddaya want» over and over again. Eventually I just picked out a plain French cruller and some type of glazed cherry and chocolate donut to get her off our backs. My friend asked for an espresso and was promptly told that the espresso machine wasn’t working, so she just got a plain black coffee instead. Then she tried to ask a question about two types of donuts the kreme versus the vanilla kreme. The woman couldn’t give us a straight answer, «One is white cream the other yellow». No actual help there. We even prompted, «Is one cheesier? One sweeter? What?» The woman just nodded to the Boston kreme donut and said, «This one. This one is good.» My friend just shrugged and let her bag it. We both wound up paying $ 4.50, me for two donuts, her for a donut and a coffee. Upon my first bite of the cruller I immediately knew I was NOT about the Donut Pub. It was eggy, mushy, and extremely oily. It actually lacked any flavor other than grease. I finished it, but it was rather unpleasant. I then moved onto my second donut, hesitantly. First I tasted the cherry glaze that was sitting on top of it, Y U C K. Tasted like medicine, with a super sticky consistency. It was even greasier than the cruller and I actually threw this one away. The Donut Pub was extremely disappointing and I spent the rest of the day feeling sick from the amount of oil I’d inadvertently consumed. My friend didn’t mind what she’d gotten, but I think that may be because her donut was more cream filling than oily dough.

If you’re in the area and feel the urge to splurge then stop and get yourself a donut here. They are not out of this world to die for donuts so if you’re not in the area I wouldn’t go out of my way. The donut shop itself is a classic throwback to donut shops which is cool. It’s situated right next to the 14th123 a very convenient location. They carry all your classic donuts from glazed to sprinkled covered donuts. They also have red velvet and maple glazed bacon donuts! They also offer their version of a Cronut. I tried a classic glazed and it was delish. My friend got the maple bacon and said it was out of this world. I don’t know to much about their donut process and how fresh everything it is, but got a quick bite I say go for it.

I wasn’t such a fan of this place, even though I love donuts. There didn’t seem to be a great selection and none of them particularly stood out. I got a chocolate crème donut & a sprinkles donut. They were very average. This place is probably best when you are craving donuts in the middle of the night. It isn’t for a quality adventurous donut. It is no competition for my favs, Doughnut Plant & Dough.

Location: I think donut pub is close to doughnut plant somehow. I do not know. Maybe it’s my imagination but it’s not so hard to find it since donut queen is only looking for donuts. The place is bit cold when I was there. Why I said it was cold? It is because there was no one in the pub and the front lady had this tired face made me feel like it’s not a right time for me to enjoy a donut. Eventually, I did not ordered donut at all. Food: in fact, I had french cruller, and marble cruller. French cruller is well done. So much better than my previous experience with Tim Horton’s. So I do appreciate it. But marble cruller is made by my least donut-make technique — cake wise. I do not like any cake donut but marble cruller is such style. I did not finish it also due to its dense chocolate. Too much sweet inside my blood stream would make me dizzy. That’s my least feeling I wanted to have. Although they have plenty of choices, the decoration, the plating, and the structure of all the donuts frustrated me a little bit so that I did not try much donut choices. Will I come back? IDK, there ‘s nothing unique about this place except the fact that they open 24/7, which is insane. Overall: 3.5 stars for the sake of 24⁄7. The donut quality is good, but not creative, not fantastic compared to other donut stores in NYC.

Come early in the morning otherwise you’ll miss out on the good stuff. Cool little place with bar like seating and an old school vibe. The donuts are best in the morning when they’re fresh, just decent if you get them in the afternoon or later. Toppings and fillings are good but not the best you can get in NYC. However pricing is pretty solid and they’re open late if you’re craving donuts after a long night. Try this place if you’re in the area but don’t go out of your way for these donuts.

A cute timely and traditional place for donuts. I can see why this place has been here for so long — it’s convenient, donuts are decent and it’s open 24⁄7. Donuts are not bad. I had the glazed and old fashioned. I think if a shop can do those 2 donuts well, then I can try out more flavors. The glaze was not too thick and the donut itself was fluffy and had several layers. Could have used more flavor(salt?) but it wasn’t bad! The old fashioned was a lot smaller than the yeast glazed donut, but it packed a lot of dough. It was thick and definitely needed something to help wash it down. It was still yummy though! Because it was late, there were a lot of people walking in and ordering the honey dipped and red velvet. Those seem like the most popular, but I don’t think I’ll be back unless I’m craving donuts at 3am.

No gimmicks, no hype, just an old school shop that reminds you of thé days when a donut was a treat your grandma made on a special day(–or just absolutely at random because she felt like spoiling you). You wont find a line outside of this place before it opens in the AM– come to think of it I cant recall ever seeing it closed. Yes, that is right — -it is open 24⁄7! You wont find the crazy options that exist at other fancier, modern spots but this place has solid fare. Go for a buttery croissant, a black & white cookie, or any of the assorted, fresh donuts they always offer. But make sure to try their tasty, hot coffee as well! I like to drink my coffee black whenever I pair it with their sweets. What a combo! There is good reason, this place has been around for years. They do take cards although most items are quite affordable. This spotlessly clean place has yet to fail me on any Front.

Came here one late night so their selection probably wasn’t as good as it is during the day but over the hour I was there new, fresh batches kept coming out. I tried 3 donuts: Cronut with Crème: this was my first Cronut ever so I have nothing to compare it to but I wasn’t too impressed. They warmed it up for me which I would suggest; it was good, just not everything I ever expected. Red Velvet: I’m not a huge red velvet fan but it looked interesting– plus it was fresh out the oven. I liked the texture, taste was good but nothing to write home about. It has a light glaze that compliments it. French Crueler: Dont usually eat this type of donut but the waiter suggested it; plus it was fresh out the oven. It was very good, I really liked the way the dough pulled apart and was light and airy. Overall the fact this place is open 24⁄7 is the novelty to me; the donuts not so much. I am more a fan of the eclectic places. However, the gentleman working was kind and the prices were good for NYC standard.
