Seen and be seen, but not necessarily always by the waitstaff. Loved the green living wall and some of the art. Hip crowd, mix of music, dim lighting, so very SoHo. I tried the non-alcoholic Daredevil(ironic?) and my friend tried the lavishly priced special margarita, which was good but probably not worth all that. A DJ was setting up for the night– they have bottle service and all. Mixed feelings overall. I’d come back for a special event or date, not sure if I’d be compelled otherwise to suggest it normally.

Its a very nice looking spot right in the cute section of Soho. The bar area is typical to that of which you expect to find around here, dimly lit/library-type feeling to it. We came to attend a friends birthday gathering here, and it was packed. I was told a bit of people were invited, so I am not sure how many people would be there on a normal Friday night. With that being said, there were only 2 bartenders, and it took a long time waiting to get their attention and order a drink. I only had one, a goose and soda, since nothing on their specialty list sparked my interest, and I’d have to say it was it was pretty light on the pour. Not sure if I’d return unless there was another specific event that brought me there. With so many options to choose from in the area, and the city as a whole, you’ve really got to deliver on some unique aspect to keep people wanting more.

Friday night. Showed up starving and was afraid at first that I wouldn’t get enough to eat. But I was wrong. Had a delicious 60stormy followed by a melba(my GF had two). Shared the grilled cheese, really delicious olives, and a very refreshing chicory salad. Things got hoppin with solid dj and bar packed with everyone dressed in black. Mike Myers at next table. Lovely décor and wonderful service

Saw this newly opened watering hole on Instagram and had to check it out. Drinks were great, service slow but amicable, very chill. This is the place you go for drinks and quiet conversations. Not overly busy, we sat at the bar and enjoyed warmed olives and vegetable tempura. As crazy as it sounds, try the olives; they were amazing.

Went there with a friend after a long day at work. The atmosphere is fantastically warming and relaxing. The owner clearly invested in the décor to convey this calming sensation. Everything from the plant wall to art pieces say: Forget about your worries and enjoy your time here! Which I did! We had food and drinks. It was overall on the pricey side, but to my eyes it definitely matched with the quality of the service and the food. This place is a real pleasure for the eye and taste buds. I was actually quite surprised how the Gordon was so opposite to the first review it got. Of course this would not be the spot for partying and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the intention anyway. That being said, if what you’re interested in is to get good drinks in a really cool place with either friends or colleagues, don’t think about it twice and give a try to The Gordon Bar.

read about this new bar in NY Mag so obviously I had to visit very pretty place but what happened to fun? one can mistake this for a semi wake: very quiet and plush. If looking to discuss business this would be a find– I guess. However, if looking for amazing cocktails and fun is on your menu, do not come here. staff is rude and stuffy to say the least and oh yea I live here too no biggie.
