This is a great place to grab a beer and a slice — yes they have that combo! The pizza is pretty good, not great, but good. I brought my staff and seemed everyone loved it. I wish that at lunch hour they had more people working — I felt bad for the one server.

I’ll be the first to admit, the pizza was far from the best but the overall situation was pretty damn cool. I was randomly walking down the block with my dad, he spotted the pizza pub and said it looked like a good time and we hopped on in. It was empty aside for us, as a lunch time visit, which was understandable because naturally most people aren’t exactly trying to get wasted at that time of day but I was definitely a big fan getting a slice of pizza with each of the two shots u bought. I can definitely envision myself coming back.

Pizza Pub is the best! It’s not upscale dining, but it’s so fun and good for getting in some cheap drinks and food. It’s not usually too crowded, so it works for big groups! I love meeting with my friends here.

This may have been a somewhat acceptable spot for getting a quick beer-and-a-slice if it wasn’t for the terrible service. Food-wise, Pizza Pub serves incredibly mediocre pizza which always collapses the minute you pick it up. As for the beer, this place is stocked like a dorm room, mini-fridge and all. Most of the more exciting beers listed on their board are ones they don’t actually have, and so you’ve got to pick between a handful of weak lagers and an IPA on tap. Now, as with most of the other reviewers, I can confirm that the service is abysmal. It’s one thing to be an inattentive bartender; It’s quite another to actively pick fights with the customers. The skinny brunette bartender is insufferable, and her manager has had to address her several times, but no change to her behavior has come from it. It’s not cute. It’s annoying. I recently went in late one night. The place was empty, the bar unattended, and a worker was taking out the trash. I asked if they were open, and commented on how it looked like they were wrapping things up for the night. I was treated like an idiot for asking this, being told, «Um, yeah — taking out the trash is a thing restaurants do.» After I had ordered a slice, requesting that it not be reheated beforehand, I was told flat-out that my tastes were wrong, and I was given a soggy, overheated slice anyway. So, yeah — avoid the Pizza Pub. There are a dozens of places within a 2-block radius where you can get superior food, better beer, and not have the staff insult you or treat you like a child.

I am giving this place one star and that is generous. They served us frozen chicken. It was actually frozen. No good beer and terrible food. Will not be returning.

This place is great to catch up with some college pals, watch the game, and drink some beer. Wait I forgot, they also have fucking pizza! They have deals that incorporate pizza and booze, and who doesn’t love that amiright? 5 $(tax and tip not included) gets you a slice and a pint(house), there is also the free shot with every slice. You should pace yourself because before you know it, you’re drunk and hella full from that pie you ended up eating by yourself.

Great concept for a restaurant. I could drink beer and eat pizza all night! Pizza was okay. We were the only ones there that night so the service was great. However I’ve gone on crowded nights before and service was okay.

It was dead in here at 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. Like that I got a slice of pizza & a drink for a good price. The pizza was okay, not terrible & not spectacular. It feels like it’s better at night.

This bar is my favorite place and my go to. I was a student at Baruch college just around the college and after many long night classes we would always come here. Grab and slice and a pint for $ 5 — the best deal around for college students. The bartenders are amazing and always super friendly and remembered us all(not just the guys). The music was always fun. It is the perfect bar for grabbing drinks after work/school.

The pizza was fine. My drink was fine. The bartender was rude and abrasive. Eye rolling impatience was her attitude of choice. She was visibly angered over a split check/our separate bar tabs. Not coming back.

GAAA it’s a damn shame they had to go and ruin everything because I used to love this place. Key words, used to. I used to come by all the time for the delicious pizza, decent beer, and chats with the bartender, Yom. But this all changed last week when I went in with a small crowd of 3. We were hungry and celebrating. Our tab consisted of 2 pitchers 1 pizza. Half way through the meal, my friend went to buy us shots. He decided to pay for the shots separately and he closed out his tab because we had no plans of ordering another round… but of course one thing led to another and we ended up staying longer than anticipated. After dinner, he went to order another round, Yom gave him a hey day about having already closed out his tab and refused to run his card again! Mind you, it was not even hellishly busy. She had the bar under control and the situation was not chaotic. But still she refused, so the another friend of mine put it on his card. Then LATER, after we had all closed out our tabs and left the premises, we discovered that she had charged us twice for our original bill with the pizza and 2 pitchers… a $ 49 tab charged twice AND had taken the 30 $ cash that we intended to put towards the bill. We wanted to pay some in cash and the rest on cards. What a mix up. This is not something that’s even easy to explain and I have no idea if we will end up getting our money back. There should not even have been a mix up in the first place. Super annoying and disappointing.

The idea is great– pizza palor within a bar. The actual pizza tasted good, but PLEASE add some flavor to the crust! That would’ve easily bumped up the rating another«star».

I really can’t understand the negative reviews here– where else are you going to find a slice AND full pint of beer for $ 5? I can’t see myself going here every week unless I want to gain 5 pounds, but honestly, if you’re craving pizza and beer, THIS is your place. Pizza was a good-sized, tasty slice(lots of cheese but the crust could have been thinner). House beer tasted alot like Bud light, but I’m no beer aficionado. All I know is that the service was friendly, space was cozy and spacious, and the pizza and beer was friggin five dollars:)

Pizza Pub is a daytime/night munchies location. You go the the Pizza Pub if you happen to be in the area or you need to close out your night with a quick pizza and a drink. I’ve never seen this place full so don’t expect much of an atmosphere.

A nice place to stop for a snack when you feel like a little more than just grabbing a slice. It’s a sort of hybrid bar and pizza place. Attractive décor, and there’s usually a game on one of the three TV screens. I just wish they’d turn the music down … it would be a nice spot for conversation if the noise wasn’t so loud.

Ugh, this place sucks. The bartender on Friday nights is the most miserable chick I’ve ever come across. Nothing like bringing ten people into an empty bar at midnight on a Friday to be greeted with a look of disgust and an attitude. That girl needs to find a new line of work. Pizza tasted like cardboard too.

The usual DRINKCLUB tab… per person… is around 35 dollars. At PIZZAPUB, it was less than half that. That’s mainly from the PITCHERAND A PIE special– as of this writing: $ 25. Yeah, the beer is generic. Yeah, the pizza is plain cheese(though LOTS of it). Not quite NY style.(The bottom crust is a bit too limp.) But both are serviceable. The place is somewhat small, and they don’t take reservations. There is a quick turnover, though, so if you come with a group, just hang at the bar a little while, and you’ll soon find places for everyone. The bartendress/waitress/hostess, Yahm(sorry, my computer doesn’t write Hebrew), is super-friendly, but a bit harried from the crowd.(Note to owners: GETMOREHELP!!!) But you’ll find this a great place for a cheap night out in Midtown. L’chiam! –Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC drinkers, a different bar every week

Average bar that serves free pizza with your beer. Beware, however, that the free slice is only with the house beer, reason being that the house beer is swill. The bartender explained that it tasted like bud light. My impression was that it was more like watered down bud light. The pizza that it came with was alright. Quality is similar to the 99 cent variety you can find in most places nowadays. If you want a slice but didn’t order a house brew, they will charge you $ 2.00. Not really worth it in my opinion. Other beers are around $ 6 – 8 each. The selection is very limited with only 4 – 5 beers on tap. The music was very good though. Sounded like a pandora station. The place was sparsely populated on a Thursday night. I prefer crocodile lounge where you get a pizza with any beer purchase but at least here you don’t have an angry Hispanic guy extorting you for tips.

$ 5 for a slice of cheese pizza and a full pint of bud light or whatever light beer they have. You really cannot beat this deal. 2 or 3 orders later, you’re full and ready to take on the wonders of the bar scene that is 3rd avenue. I also try to add this place into the mix when I’m in the immediate neighborhood. No frills, great deals, and never a wait for hot pizza and cold beer.

After escaping The Globe, we needed somewhere to keep the party going. This place wasn’t too full and pizza grease glistened in the distance like a Lipitor oasis. Game on. Pizza Pub is extremely literal: a bar with pizza. Although it’s definitely not a pub vibe — were it a little nicer, I might even say it’s lounge-esque. Low lighting and lots of under-bar neon. The bartender was friendly and drinks were enormous. I ate the crap out of someone else’s pizza slice, but can’t for the life of me remember how it tasted. My favorite part of the bar was the artwork. They had a bunch of things from the same artist( ). He uses a cigarette lighter to create, and makes entire«burnings» out of fire. He even made Drake look good — I have taken a blood oath to not return to Murray Hill. But I might swing by here again if I called it Gramercy.
