The Rocky Run

I was visiting that dog run occasionally with my gorgeous little dachshund for about a month, until I came across a ghastly young couple, a tall, angry-​looking young man, who smokes compulsively and has Asberger’s Syndrome, as does his anorexic little girlfriend, (they are there frequently, apparently don’t have much of a life, LOL) She always wears this pretentious little straw hat and sits there posing while she keeps a prison matron’s eye over all the other dog owners. She will then direct her pathetic, pussy-​whipped husband to tell them what they are doing wrong, no kidding these two are for real! I’m sure we can all find a better place to let our dogs have fun. If they are an example of the millennial generation at their best the world is certainly doomed for extinction.
But they are also hilariously funny because they are so out of touch with reality too!

Roy’s Top 5 Things to Know:
1. This dog park is comprised of sticks and brown dirt so dogs get dirty more easily.
2. No water fountain.
3. No separation for large and small dogs.
4. Not too many dogs come here.
5. Nice view of the bridge though.

Your pup needs room to run… this one should have enough space for them.
Things the park has going for it:
— Large area for dogs to run
— Plenty of shade
— Two separate entrances
— Adequate fencing
— Nice view of George Washington Bridge in the winter
Things the park has going against it:
— No separate large and small dog runs
— No water
— No poop bags
— No bathrooms nearby for humans
— Limited seating for humans
— Can get windy
— Entry areas a little small and could have better gates
I have been to this run a few times. This run is where you bring your dog if they need some extra space to run. If you want to bring your dog to a newer run bring him to nearby Jay Hood Wright Park Dog Run. Adding water, more seating and separate large & small runs would make this run a solid 3 star run, add new gates and fencing a four star run, new ground cover… possibly a 5 star run.
