Me: Hi, can I get chrysanthemum tea? Barista: Sure, do you want latte, sugar or honey? Me:(stares blankly at the nice barista — latte??) …with a little honey is good. What the hey? Chrysanthemum latte? It’s a quaint little tea joint that uses real tea. Ditto on Lisa’s high-pitched-screech-of-an-8-year-old-girl SUPERCUTE! So if you’re in the area and Ten Ren is too far and/or you just want to avoid tourists altogether(recommended), you should try this place out.

Had dinner with my fraternity brothers tonight. We were walking up Hester Street when the new & very brightly lit Tic Tac Toe Boutique caught my eye on an otherwise darkened street. DoooDolls & a myriad of other darling toys beckoned me inside. Everything is(Say the following in the high pitched screech of an 8 year old girl) SUPERCUTE! Even the store is supercute. Tiny, but packed with at least three dozen different toys & products. There’s a small ledge on the right, where several patrons may sit for tea and snacks. In the back, a little kitchen area. The menu boasts an extensive list of drinks — Nothing over $ 5. Foodwise, customers can choose from 10 sandwiches & a variety of Asian appetizers like jumbo pork shumai, shrimp stuffed shitaki & fried squid ball. Sandwiches go for about $ 6& other snacks run about half that. Since I just had dinner accompanied by bubble tea, I didn’t have room for anything more at the moment. I will be back, though.
