awful! i work there when they open and the manager was just trash ! hired like 7 people to work there next week he just began to fired person by person, that manager would always curse at you if you did something wrong even if it was just a tiny mistake he would aways look at you with a attitude ! not to mention he even had the nerve to fire a girl who was pregnant like damn! he was rude and disgusting ! and also when he wouldn’t sell donuts he would throw a whole trade even tho there’s hungry people out there ! place was dirty in the kitchen and he would just let it sit there crawling with rats! * * *

I have not tried their coffee, but would like to, after reading some of these reviews. Maybe it is amazing, and if so, maybe this review is too negative. But here are my thoughts: This place is next to Katz’s. This is like having a loaf of generic white bread next to a world renowned artisan bakery. Not easy. My 3 star review is mostly for the clean space, nice tv, good AC, good service, and free wifi. The Cold Stone Creamery at this location has a cookie sandwich for $ 2.50 which is not good. I ate a few bites and chucked it. There was a new employee there who was sort of oblivious. But the woman who was training him was excellent and actually asked me if I liked the sandwich. I said yes. I lied. But was impressed that she asked. Not sure how Cold Stone planes to compete with il laboratorio gelato which is a couple shops away. Overall, I hate to say this, but I suspect this place is doomed. The rent must be insane for such a huge spot. I just don’t see them doing enough business. They need a small spot and maybe stick to the coffee and donuts.

Service is starting to suck at this place and I was a regular and I see there’s a lot of new workers that are pretty horrible. I don’t see the old ones I miss them. I never received such bad customer service there like I do now with the new workers.

Holy crap my prayers have been answered. I mean that kind of literally, too. I’m a lower east side person, born and bred, through and through. I love going to Brooklyn and Harlem, but I’m not a huge fan of heading above 23rd street and aside from the village, the West side kind of bores me(yep, even Times Square). So, before this place opened up, Coldstones were only located on the West side and in various locations from 42nd street to around 80 something street. As a hardcore Coldstone lover(I’m lactose intolerant and eat here anyway — it’s that hardcore), I kind of loathed heading over to 42nd street for my fix. But no more. This place is even kind of walkable for me if I’m feeling brave, so I’m beyond happy. Anyway, about this location. Clean! Extremely clean. And the staff is just insanely nice. The seats are insanely comfortable. There’s even a fireplace(I kid you not). I’m not sure what Tim Horton’s is, but some guy who worked there was hilarious. The ice cream is typical Coldstone’s, except the sprinkles here are round sprinkles, not the long kind. This makes this place even more of a win for me because I love spherical sprinkles(it makes a difference, I promise). This is the only Coldstone I’ll go to anymore.

Free wifi — ask for password inside! My regular coffee with skim and sugar and delightful on a day of windy winter weather. Bathroom was clean, large, and for customers only. I noticed that while inside, I didn’t feel like I was in New York City. It felt like I was back in suburbia again! Nice, open spaces, clean floors, even a fake fireplace with couches nearby! It was pretty cozy with the exception of the fact that it could have felt like you were inside a rest area. Good place to stop if you need a jolt and a bathroom :)

Brand new spot next to Katz. Donuts for dessert after katz? why not! Ordered the original glazed donut and the glaze was starting to get crusty and cold. Staff was friendly. I still think Donkin donuts are better.

Wow… What a nice place… really trendy and clean… coffee was great with a panani while I sat on these really large leather chairs in front of a warm fireplace watched TV while I worked on my laptap with their WIFI. I had to have some of Cold Stone ice cream of course… Staff was really friendly, service was super fast and reasonable price… blows the doors off any of the Starbucks in the neighorbood with a better menu and 100X more conforable and relaxing. I found a new spot to get a quick decent meal or some sweets or cup of good coffee after I’m done Lower East Side bar Hoping LOL. Highly recommended.
