Love this coffee shop in the heart of Chinatown, a short walk from the subways. I discovered this spot from my Cups app but I keep coming back here when I’m in the area and need a quick shot of caffeine. Excellent vanilla chai, sooo delicious the flavor sits on my tongue after each sip. Service is great too, baristas are always courteous and quick. Seats in the back, free wifi, a soothing wooden décor. Just a heads up — the communal table in the back to the left is reserved for events(like what, I’ve no idea). Wish they could open that up though. Also serves lite bites and sweets, including donuts on National Donut Day — can this place be any more perfect? Love you TJ, keep rockin’.

Very nice relaxing place with a great assortment of teas and specialty coffees available smack dab in the middle of Chinatown. Workers are friendly and helpful with your drink selection. The space is welcoming with ac and a working space in the back. TJ has got it right with the iced Greek tea and Mojitea! Must come back to try the different coffees available!

Decent coffee shop in the heart of Chinatown. I’m glad that they accept the CUPS app. The cold brew is very smooth, not acidic. The ice chai soy latte is good, not heavy on the cinnamon flavor. Perfect for a hot day. Drinks are made fast, and there is a lot of seating.

Ok guys you have to try the Vietnamese coffee here. It’s excellent! I also love the almond croissant and chicken tacos for lunch. TJ’s is always so clean, food is always fresh and the ambiance is ideal for work. They have a working area for $ 20 all day and free wi-fi. Best coffee shop in Chinatown.

I pass by this place everyday on my way to work and finally decided to check it out. The inside is very clean and neat. Did not expect to find a place like this in chinatown. I LOVE nutella so the nutella latte instantly caught my eye, but boy was I disappointed. I ordered the nutella latte and a everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. I understand the nutella latte is around $ 4 and theres tax, but the total came out to be $ 7 something… so the bagel is around $ 2 something??? What a total ripoff. The nutella latte was nothing special. It just tasted like regular mocha to me.

I was trying to find a simple cup of coffee in Chinatown and was getting disheartened when bakery after bakery informed me that they only accepted cash. I decided to try my luck at TJ’s Coffee World and was greeted by the very friendly barista who told me that they do indeed accept card. As I waited for my coffee to be brewed, I had the chance to look around, and the café itself is very clean and well lit. The wooden floors and matching furniture also contribute to its welcoming ambiance. They also sell a lot of cute branded merchandise(and with a cute cat as its mascot, why not?), such as tea cups, coffee mugs, and various types of coffee makers. They have an interesting menu, and next time I’ll be more adventurous and try their Nutella latte!

Opens early and free wifi without pw or purchase. Ample seating — but just one cashier making all drinks so can be slow if you’re in a rush.

Nice, clean coffee shop in the heart of Chinatown with a diverse and hearty menu. The ambiance is good and the shop is very well lit. The coffee is reasonably priced and milk, creamer and sugar is plentiful.

Not really recommend this place. It’s more like a tea station than an actual coffee shop. If you are a coffee addict like me who loves to try out great coffee spots, then DONOT come here. If you just want to have a cup of any drink and be able to seat for a while even study for hours, then you’re in the right place! Just my two cent. By the way, the restroom is probably nearly the worst one I have ever ever been. Toilet was overflow and unused toilet paper is ON the floor. That was very disgusting.

TJ Coffee World NY Manhattan Chinatown 4pm Tuesday 29th September 2015 Four Stars Today is another fake holiday. It’s national coffee day. After a free coffee at Dunkin Donuts and Mc Donald, the Cups App gave away free coffee between 3−5pm. I opted to try TJ’s Coffee World, located on Canal. This café is the epitome of Japanese Cuteness with its Cartoon Teddy Bear Logo and its orange coloring. I had an ice Vietnamese Coffee which was strong and delicious. There was plenty of seating, food options, and good friendly service.

I was in desperate need of coffee walking around Chinatown and came across this place. I ordered the iced viet coffee and patiently waited as I saw them properly pouring over the silver Vietnamese coffee filter. I excitedly took my first sip only to taste a watered down concoction with no condensed milk! It didn’t have that bittersweet bite or intensity that viet coffee should have and so my caffeine craving was left unsatisfied. *loud audible sigh

The green tea ice matcha was okay but I paid with CUPS app, and I ordered a 24 oz and most of it was ice. But nice inside, also have outlets so a plus. Convenient, on street of canal.

I wish I got a coffee here the day I came but I was starving and a little low on money. fortunately, they had some affordable sandwiches in addition to many small pastries that were very tempting. I wish I got some of the key lime pie as well but now it’s a good reason to go back! the interior is nice and spacious, not to mention cool on a hot summer day with its comfortable ac. I’ve been talking a lot about what I didn’t get but I did get half of a tomato mozzarella pesto sandwich(~3). I normally would’ve opted out for a turkey sandwich or dough donut but I don’t know why this looked especially appealing to me that day. trust your instincts friends, the sandwich was delicious. after the sandwich, I was content even though it was on the smaller side. definitely planning on coming back if I’m in the area!

Vast menu, huge and clean interior, and probably one of the few places in Chinatown that takes credit card. However, the drinks here are OK. My jasmine lychee green tea was watery, no not just unsweetened, but bland almost. My friend’s Vietnamese ice coffee too was watery even after drinking it within seconds of being made. They also serve food, but why eat sandwiches when in Chinatown lol. Cute little shop and very convenient for tourists, but I’ve definitely had better.

I saw my awesome friend Erin M review on this place so I decided to try out! In fact I am sitting inside now writing this review while waiting for a friend. I am so glad that CUPS participate in this coffee shop. This coffee shop is so cute located in Chinatown! At first I thought it might be some bubble tea and Chinese pastries but this is slightly different! I like how it is quiet and I found a new spot that I might be able to kill some time while doing some reading and studying here!!! Their menu looks good too! Hopefully I can update the review after trying different stuff! I got their ice mochaccino on a hot day! I usually hate my coffee to be cold! I like the baristas to steam the milk and pour over the espresso but it’s just way too hot and I m feeling a little fat so I went for mochaccino! I went for the smaller size and man it was big! It’s like chocolate with espresso(duh is mocha) but tasted like dessert! Not too sweet unlike many places! Good for summer. And I like how they fill up all the way up to top! You can look at the picture I have, I actually finished more than 1⁄3 already! I will visit again and I love how they have cute stuff for sale!

Came here recently & was surprised to find a place that used its space so well. They have a variety of pastries here & had a sip of black coffee that wasn’t half bad(even though I don’t drink coffee & would need so much cream and sugar there’d be very little coffee left by the time I got done). Definitely not a bad place to hang out if you find yourself killing time in Chinatown.

Their matcha latte is awesome! Their ham and cheese crossiant is a bit on the salty side. My friend ordered a Three Cheese Tomato Panini and that tasted delicious! Other than that I love the atmoshphere. Its calming compare to Starbucks and they have friendly staff! When I went there in the winter, they had heated seats which is awesome!

A quaint café with a little Asian Palm Civet, a toddy cat as their mascot in Chinatown. In the passing of my travels with little time but heavy stress I opt for something quick to go. I grab one large chocolate chip cookie at $ 2.65. The cookie was okay as it was disappointedly not moist but harden. Service is welcoming warm and friendly. There are a lot of coffee options and food on the menu. Next time I would like to try their hot chocolate.

Service was so welcoming and smily. I love the environement inside of the shop. It isnt in the best part of town at all but when you walk in you forget you are surounded by chinatown shops I got the strawberry lemonade iced tea and it is amazing highly highly highly recommended
