Tom Burke Voice Studio

Before working with Tom, studying voice seemed to be a vague, intangible abyss where I was told what I should sound like — what was a «good sound» and a «bad sound.» Tom Burke removes all that judgment. As a speech pathologist, he KNOWS (and taught me) all the moving parts in my vocal anatomy which allows me to identify each sound I can make — be it breathy, or nasal, or pingy, or shrill, or straight tone, or operatic — and have them as options for vocal styling in my work. Since working with Tom, I have tackled some of the most vocally challenging music out there and with his vocal health plan — yoga, hydration, sleep, etc. — I can now sing it in a healthy, safe, yet explosively exciting way. When I came to Tom I knew I was a talented singer, but after studying with him for 2 years I know I can sing ANYTHING.

Tom is a voice wizard! After taking 7 months off from voice lessons because of «other» work, Im back with Tom. It just amazes me that after only 2 lessons hes got me right back belting my face off. He understands what to ask of me in order to find the tongue, and larynx placement I need to create a bright beautiful sound. I cant wait for my next lesson!!! Thanks Tom!!!
