Tom James

I’ve been buying my business attire from Tom James for many years now. I started in San Francisco and transferred the relationship when I changed jobs and came to New York.
Originally, I shopped here because I was hard to fit. They tailor the suits and shirts to my dimensions. The fabrics range from high quality to unaffordable high quality. However, I have worn several suits, slacks and jackets for nearly ten years and they still look good.
I lost several pounds (and a few inches) and I was able to have my trousers and jackets re-​cut to my new, improved shape. There are lots of options available such as pocket shape, vents, custom buttons, monogram, jacket lining.
I wear my watch on the left wrist so, the shirts are made with a little extra shape on the left cuff to accommodate the watch. Little things that add up. I’m not a monogram type but I do have fun choosing non-​traditional inner lining for my suits. It gives me that rebellious inner feeling. Sort of like exotic underwear…
It is now possible for me to buy off the rack but, for most business clothing, I will stay with Tom James.
