Amazing! Had a fantastic lunch meal! Lunch special: salad with tamarind dressing. Seriously they should sell that dressing! It’s ridiculous! Pork ball noodle soup, was delicious and super filling! I ordered a lychee margarita and it was also very good and refreshing. Mango sticky rice for dessert! OMG fresh and sweet! Simply amazing! Great service and great food what else can you ask for!

A very spacious restaurant with kind service staff. Nothing was particularly memorable except for the mango sticky rice. I ordered a vegetarian Thai dish and it came out quickly– was super hungry though so I just inhaled the whole dish in 5 minutes!

Got delivery from here after our plan to order in from Xi’an Famous Food fell through because we missed the order window before their Midtown location closed. Frankly was skeptical as Thai places can be pretty hit or miss.(Plus we were pretty bummed after driving for four hours looking forward to hand pulled noodles.) Woah! What a surprise. We got Moo Yaan Num Tok Salad, Gaeng Kiew Warn(green curry), Guay Tiew Pad Kee Mau(Drunken noodle), and Guay Tiew Pad Sei Eiw(pad see ew). All were tasty and fresh, and generously portioned. Our usual Thai place in the city is Ngam, which is more trendy and fusiony. This isn’t that. It’s closer to the straightforward Thai places I got addicted to as a college kid in Boston(Brown Sugar Café anyone??) and was a really great surprise. If I stay in Midtown again, I will look for this place in person. Thanks Eat24!

Tried the lunch special for delivery via Unilocal.Ordered Geoy hor cheese as the appetizer and the Gauy tiew pad kee mau with shrimp. The order came fast and the food was hot. The appetizer was the ! Warm and filled with delight. The best crab rangoon-ish item I have ever had! It would be even better if they were larger. The entrée did not have the flavor it should have and tasted bland in comparison to how flavorful Thai dishes usually are. Order this ‘mild’ and there is zero spiciness so I shall order as ‘medium’ spice level next time. It was a very filling portion and enough to feed two people. Going to give this place another shot.

Was visiting NYC for a weekend trip and walked by this noodle bar near Central Park and decided to avoid the afternoon heat and it was a great decision. I had some crab rangoon, vegetable spring rolls, and a green curry. The crab rangoon was flavorful and crunch. The spring rolls were solid. The curry was really good overall, but I felt like it was a little heavy with the coconut milk leading to a more-watery curry. Still delicious. Ambiance was nice, small and quiet place. It was refreshing from being hot outside. Prices were also very reasonable, especially for NYC. I would definitely stop by again if I’m in the area and interested in something faster and more casual.

I truly enjoyed this jem of a café in Midtown. Being a bit jaded with the high cost and mediocre quality of food, I found a refreshing experience in Topaz Noodle Bar. The staff is very attentive, dedicated and add to the warmth. It’s small, but a great place for a couple or group of friends. Everything was tasty and fresh. Most entrees are between $ 11– $ 15.

Very intimate space with minimal seating and décor., the food is great! The grilled beef was tender and well seasoned. The Thai flavors really came through in the sauce that came on the side. It was spicy and garlicky. It comes with sticky rice that is cooked just right. The duck in curry sauce was also delicious! I appreciated that the duck wasn’t swimming in the curry sauce presented very well where the duck sat on top of the vegetables and sauce. The duck was tender with crispy skin. Big portion with two full legs. The curry was aromatic and had a good depth of flavor. Would be back!

After reading the raving reviews from this spot, I decided to drop by for lunch. It’s a small restaurant, but neat and clean in appearance. I ordered the Khao Soi and fried wonton with cheese. Wonton– Delicious! The cheese was practically oozing out. the flavor was perfect and it was fried perfectly. I do wish the portion was larger though. Khao Soi– This is the first time I have tried this dish before. I must say, I really enjoyed it. It’s different from other Thai noodle dishes that I have tried. If you are a fan of curry, you will definitely enjoy this. The fried wonton strips on top definitely added a great crispy texture to the dish, The only downside was the wait time. I had to wait 30 minutes for my meal to come out. I think the lunch special is a great value and will definitely be returning to try more noodle dishes.

Stumbled upon this place while just walking around in a Wednesday afternoon. Stopped in to enjoy the lunch special. Wowzers! What a great meal for a great deal! Only $ 11 for a small appetizer and lunch entrée. Had the crab a cream cheese wontons with the Pad Kee Mau with shrimp. Some of the best Thai I’ve ever had, and that includes in Thailand. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of spice. Shrimps were on point, I! The lovely lady across the table from me is still enjoying her duck noodle soup. BIG piece of duck, for only $ 11. And to top it off, it’s amazing! As I said, great food, great deal. And if that isn’t enough, staff is very friendly. Hopefully will be able to come back some time.

I came here for lunch recently. They have a decent lunch deal — either $ 9 or $ 11, depending what you order. I got some dry sake, which was in a decent/cold bottle. I liked it a lot. The waiter was very nice — efficient. I got the cheese wontons as an appetizer(2); they were warm and creamy. Very good. For my entrée I ordered chicken pad thai. I liked it, but it was almost too saucy. I had some leftover, which was great. Overall, it was a decent experience and I could see myself coming back if I want to treat myself to lunch.

Ordered Pad Thai with Shrimp and Drunken Noodles with Chicken as takeout. It was pretty good, nothing mind blowing, but better than a good amount of Thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. The pad thai was good but I wish it had more vegetables it in. The dish was mainly noodles and shrimp(though it did have a good amount of shrimp). The drunken noodles were a little too spicy for me, but had more vegetables than the pad thai. I probably wouldn’t go back again and would try somewhere new instead unless I was really hungry and in a rush since they had my food ready in less than 10 minutes.

I was searching for Thai food option in the area and somehow Topaz Noodle Bar(TNB) popped up on the top search results near the Columbus Circle area. With an astonishing full 5 stars rating(at that moment), I decided to grab my lunch there with my coworker on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. For a lot of people that doesn’t know, this restaurant is basically a split joint of the original Topaz Thai Authentic(TTA) restaurant, with a focus on noodle dishes. People tend to get a little confused and think both establishments are one restaurant — as both TTA and TNB are located right next to each other. The restaurant is rather small in size, which gives a very intimate and cozy atmosphere as you won’t be dining along with 30 to 40 other tables at the same time. The interior decorations is quite modern-chic: grey wall with gold decors hanging, along with some very classy looking furniture. Both the design and aura makes this place great for any occasions, whether you want to stop in for lunch by yourself, with friends, or even dine here on a date or with the family. The lunch specials is unbeatable compare to many other lunch options in the same area. For $ 9, which includes your usual favorite protein selection such as chicken, tofu or vegetable(up to $ 11 if you choose beef, shrimp or squid that goes with your entrée), you get to have an appetizer(You can choose from spring rolls, cream cheese wonton or salad in peanut dressing), and an entrée of your choice. I chose the salad with peanut dressing for my appetizer and my favorite go to dish Pad Sei Eiw with chicken as my entrée. I also ordered a glass of Thai Iced Tea for my choice of beverage. My coworker also ordered a salad as her appetizer, and a chicken Pad Thai as her entrée. What surprised me the most is the portion sizes that TNB offers! The Thai Iced Tea is served in a HUGE glass! Both the Pad Sei Eiw and Pad Thai dishes also comes in big portion. What I liked the most is the Pad Sei Eiw I ordered is SOMUCHBETTER than what I expected. Many other Thai restaurants tend to make this dish super sweet for some reason, but not at TNB. It was prepared and cooked perfectly and I savored this dish while trying not to devour it all at once. Service is on the decent side, nothing spectacular or remarkable. Although one notable mention is that our server was quite accommodating when I request to leave onions out of my salad appetizer. Otherwise, we had to wave our server down in order to get our check to rush back to work.

Short answer: soul-warming Thai noodles Just a few short blocks away from Thai row on 9th Avenue, Topaz Noodle Bar outdoes them all with simple, but tasty noodle soups. Others have described the authenticity of the flavor – I haven’t been to Bangkok to compare, but I believe them. There is a richness of flavor in the broth and the protein(we tried chicken and duck) that left us wanting so much more. The space itself is small, but nicely done. Plush chairs and understated decorations give it a classy feel, and feels like it’s straight from another era(which the 80s music on soundtrack helped reinforce). Easy to miss in the bustle of midtown, but we’ll absolutely be back for more.

My lady and I were walking by when the host/owner? Came out to tell us about this location which is right next door to the main Topaz restaurant. She said this location is more focused on Noodle dishes and she pointed out a dish — Khao Soi. Which based on the ingredient description I asked if it were like Chiang Mai Noodle. She said oh you know Chiang Mai?! And she said yes. So that happened. Yes I ordered it. This is a curry broth Noodle dish with chicken, bean sprouts, radishes, onions, dried onions dried egg noodles. The broth was so tasty with a hint of heat. The noodles I usually find with Chiang Mai are usually thicker egg noodles, here instead were vermicelli noodles(like angel hair or capellini) and usually there is a bit more broth when I get Chiang Mai. With the combo of the vermicelli and the lighter amount of broth the thinner noodles gather a bit more of the juices. So this works. And I enjoyed it immensely. My lady went with a Pad See Yew with chicken. Nice smokey flavor with some egg and Chinese broccoli? or bok Choi. Good stuff. The owner gave a us a new item to try. Green Thai ice tea. Reminded us of green tea ice cream and Thai iced tea combined. Tay stee! I have to say I really dig the simple and clean décor. It’s cozy and clean. Happy to have randomly walked by and been invited in. I shall return. Love me some Thai food. To the owner —

I came to pick up my ticket from Carnegie Hall and craving for some hot Thai foods. I want to walk to Hell’s Kitchen for my usual go to place. It is a bit chilly to walk, so I search on Unilocal and this noodle place pop up. Came in for this cozy place and it is pretty empty. Seeing extensive menu of noodles. It is impressive how they can incorporate all the ingredients here –even for Thai people like me. I decided to choose spicy dark pork noodle soup. And grilled pork for appetizer. Servers are nice and friendly. Foods came in no time. For foods if I can give more than 5 stars I will. The noodle soup is exactly same like I can find in Bangkok. Good portion and I ended up drinking all the soup !! The grilled pork is tender and juicy but I think the portion is to big for appetizer and sauce can be thicker. After meal I want to order some dessert, but too full so I get an ice green tea. Very refreshing and not too sweet. I completed my meal and sure will come with my friends for more.

Accidentally spotted this place and it was a great decision to try Topaz Noodle Bar. This newly opened restaurant offers Thai food with specialty in noodles. I just learned today that Thai cuisine has such a variety in noodle. As a first-timer here, i asked the waiter for recommendations. So i ordered«Gauy Tiew Yen Ta Fo» seafood noodle soup with rice noodle. And his recommendation really lived up to my satisfaction. The soup is very tasty yet not too spicy and goes well with rice noodle, fishball, shrimp, squid and tofu. Besides good food this restaurant has a very cool interior design. Cozy ambience which made me and my friends wanted to stay longer.
