Went here in search of coffee one afternoon. It was quiet inside, so we didn’t have to wait long. After seeing the espresso maker, we asked for an Americano(espresso and hot water). The gal behind the counter confirmed ‘Café Americano’? We confirmed that’s what we wanted and she promptly poured a cup of drip/filter coffee and set it on the counter. We had to tell her that it was an espresso drink, and she nodded and got the machine going. Didn’t take long to come up, and we were quickly escorted out because they were closing. The first sip was, in a word, awful. The smell was horrendous and it tasted worse. The subway system smells better. The place was closed so we couldn’t even get our money back. Avoid this place like the plague.

I’m not kidding, they made me the worst Americano I’ve ever experienced. Don’t go here for coffee. I cannot comment on the food but they have an espresso maker so I feel it’s fair to sing them on Unilocal.I mean. It was *really* disgusting. Not bitter or bland or strong. It tasted foul.

Usually go for bacon egg and cheeses which are really great, but this place always does look sketch. Went the other day and ordered a chicken sandwich… that emerging I was puking it up and the following day had food poisoning. This could happen anywhere, and like I said the bacon egg and cheeses are great. The whole thing is certainly off putting

For its Prime Location, the menu and the service is both terribly lacking, its survival probably hinges on patronage of The city’s bridge and tunnel traversing service workers. im no Blue Chip Financier on Wall st and I was slightly appalled by it all. reminds me of a donut shop in the varrio. Food was average.. Cant really mess up eggs bacon and toast. The 2nd star is for having Hazelnut Creamer and nothing beyond that.

I placed and order through seamless-for two breakfast wraps. The man had called me twice to confirm for an order that wasn’t even mine. It took 45 minutes until I then received another two calls as the delivery man could not find our building-which is a large office with numbers clearly posted outside. When we got the order there was ham on my vegetarian wrap. When I called back I was given the run around about getting a credit on a future order-I don’t want a credit on a future order, I want the wrap I ordered. They told me their delivery guy was out and they would try to be here within the next two hours. Never ordering from here again. I understand mistakes happen-but they should’ve apologized and tried to correct the error as best as they could instead of making it seem as if I did something wrong and now had to wait.

Someone stole my credit card info and tried to have plus size clothes shipped to this Café. Why, unless they are in on it.

Nothing special, just your average deli with the a menu you can get just about any deli in the city. The people are nice and food is ok.

Solid breakfast and lunch options here. Try the egg white + cheese on whole wheat toast. The chocolate chip cookies are really good. Also the lunch wraps are worth trying. Cons: they close too early.

Egg, potato and cheese sandwich on yummy soft roll for breakfast, YES please! One of my favorite things about NYC is the delis. I miss them so much. Living in Florida for years and then Vegas, it’s one of the things I really look forward to when coming back home. I love the smell of a deli, the feel of a deli. It’s all so, get in get out quickly. No exception here! My order was freshly made and in my hands in less than 4 minutes! Service fine, price excellent(only $ 3 and change for our sandwich) and food was delicious! I would have liked the potatoes to be a little more grilled, but the taste was great.

For the quality of food at this place the price is way too high. Let’s be honest, it’s a deli, but jeez, I just ate the most disgusting wrap of my life and I paid about $ 7.50 for it. There are other delis in the area that would offer a much higher quality food for that price. I’ve gone here at least a dozen times(mainly out of necessity; it’s right across from my work) and they’ve always seemed cranky and rude. Whenever you have a special request(as simple as getting mayo on the side or something) it’s always met with shitty consternation. It’s like they make you feel guilty for buying from them. If you’re looking for quick food for a cheap price I would recommend Tribeca Bagel.

Good, classic, reliable NYC deli. I’ve been getting breakfast here for the last 5 years. Their bagels are better than many places, and the service is fast and friendly. Recommended!

I like it here… It’s a small, cozy spot, and the food just hits the spot every time. The guys working there are cool too. I remember one time in particular, I didn’t have enough cash for my meal(I was short $ 0.60), and the guy manning the cash register let me go without a problem. I thought that was really cool of him to do. Stop on by one day if you haven’t already and give it a try. Thank goodness they are right across the street from my school :) PLEASENOTE: There’s an $ 8 credit/debit card minimum

Typical deli. Fresh chive cream cheese. Decent sized bagels. The Pastrami made me feel just a little queasy though… that sort of sucked. But I went back for the bagels anyways.

Simple deli, but has everything you’d expect. Coffee is good and cheap, and they make pretty good breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I would frequent more often but their ‘cash only’ rule impedes this.

Service is rude, especially to women. I occasionally go, but only for their veggie burger and fries for $ 6. Cash only.

This deli turns out some mean food. Last I was here, I scored a fried chicken cutlet on yellow rice as a late lunch. It didn’t cost much, there was plenty to go around, and it hit the spot. Next time I’ll pick up ketchup, though hunger flavored my dish quite nicely.(Thanks to the friendly counter staff for indulging my tourist moment as I snapped away with a camera.) I’ll be back for their huge stuffed tomato, or whatever that was — it came recommended by many regulars.

This is my quickstop for a morning coffee and pastry.$ 1.25 for a coffee and $ 1.75 for a cheese danish make for a cheap $ 3.00 breakfast on my way to school. An added plus is that it is across the street from tribeca park where you can enjoy said pastry and caffeine. Apparently they have free delivery and other hot foods too. But I’ll review those when I get there.
