Typical bar in NYC. If you are looking for a standard bar to grab some drinks with not so many people, this is the spot. Came here a few times and always have seats available. But the services are slow. Took a good 25 minutes for an order of Buffalo wings, but the price was decent.

I really don’t understand anyone’s bad reviews about this place. I walked in, got a table immediately, had fantastic service, had FAST service, and the food was amazing. The décor is also super awesome and seemed a mix of baseball and horse-racing. I thought it’d all be horse-racing but they had posters of Baseball Cards at the table I was sitting at. They have a nice bar and overall I’ll probably be back. I really loved it.

Great Irish pub. Enjoyed a nice lunch, chicken club wrap, cup of clam chowder and a Guiness. Service was top shelf.

With a bar on every corner in NYC, I have become somewhat of a snob with regard to reviews. Does this bar serve beer? Yes. Does this bar have televisions? Yes Does this bar know how to cook a basic hamburger with fries? Yes If that is your criteria for what you need in a bar then this is your place, as is almost any bar in NYC. I decided it would be fun to go the The Triple Crown for the final race of The Triple Crown. Seemed like a good idea. Now you may think«Oh your review will be about poor service, or how crowded it was» NO that is not why this place sucks. The place sucked because of the untalented bar staff that did not know how to make a Manhattan or pour a Guinness. This is bar tending 101 people. Am I being harsh? probably. The bar could be great otherwise and I just experienced a staff member that wanted to play bartender for the day. Sadly Unilocal is a user experience based site and this was my experience. In a city with hundreds of bars there is no need for 2nd chances.

Service 3 Unilocal not super fast and the pub was only half full. Food 3 Unilocal your average pub food nothing special. Pub was hot in the back, poor ventilation. It was a cool night so for some reason all the hot air is captured in the back. Reasonably priced not cheap but not expensive considering so close to MSG.

Very ordinary, don’t know why you would spend your money here with all the good Irish Pubs in NYC, many only a block away!

Triple Crown is an unpretentious pub on Madison Square Garden bar row: good for pre– or post-game drinks. The grub is decent if you’re hungry and the drinks are stiff. The bar also serves as a much-needed«improv lab» for so many students from nearby UCB and Magnet. They generously offer space for performers every night of the week, so thanks for supporting the arts, Triple Crown!

Very good service. Excellent selection of draft beer. Clearly a pub first and restaurant second. Food met my expectations. Everything was well prepared and served quickly.

I work around the corner from this pub. It’s a nice place, decent bar. The staff are friendly, mostly Irish as would be expected. I’ve dad the wings and other apps. Not bad, reasonably priced. I’ve been a number of times for lunch or beers with colleagues.

Came back here after a year boycott because we had organized work drinks and this is the easiest place to bring people. Once again, staff are just rude and it seems to be contagious. My first drink order was around a dozen drinks and every additional drink I ordered was greeted with exasperation. Closed the tab after a couple rounds and not a single thank you. Boycott back in place.

Spacious place in the flatiron district — Irish pub with a very long bar. The staff are pretty friendly and attentive. Would definitely return for sure — I will have to update this review soon after coming back to try something on their food menu. Stay tuned.

Looked for a bar that had happy hour until 8PM. Saw this advertised on and suggested it to my friends. We walked in and a hostess asked if we were here for drinks or dinner. We originally wanted just drinks but we were told to sit at the bar. So we decided to sit at a table and order an appetizer. Our waitress was somewhat off. I asked her about her happy hour specials and she gave me a snarky remark. Whatever, I brushed it off. She was rather pleasant afterwards, so maybe it was just an off moment. She got us our first round of happy hour drinks and took our food order. Food came out rather quickly, the calamari was very yummy! Everything else was just okay(chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, potato skins). We kept trying to get our waitress’ attention to order more drinks but it took her nearly half an hour to notice us. By the time she did it was 20 minutes after happy hour had ended(at 7:20 — not at 8 which is what I thought it was originally). It looked like she was the only waitress at the moment, which I understand can be hectic. The vibe was kind of off, so I may not return.

I have to say, I don’t trust their alcohol. I think it’s fake, but that’s just me. My favorite thing on the menu is their chicken noodle soup, how funny is that? It’s true, I have figured out that their soup and a glass of white wine is the perfect combination here. One thing of note: I am usually with a very large group when I go and the servers have always been kind enough to split our bill. Thank you!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and a couple of beers. The turkey burger was ok but service and the beers(kelso) were great. Conveniently located near MSG

I’ve been there a few times. Dragged there by friends who wanted to go. Entire staff is extremely unfriendly The food is bland and frozen. Skip this place

This area of dining is pretty much heavily infused by tourist patronage mainly because of the close proximity to Penn Station and Herald Square. However, that should not deter you from checking this place out. I came with a group of Improv classmates for what is our last class chill/after class socializing session. The group was already seated by the time I had arrived because I had to run to the bank for some eating cash. Once I got there, I found my group, seated myself and directly analyzed the menu. There were a few waitresses on shift but for some reason OTHERTHAN the first time the waitress came approximately 5 – 10 minutes, the service became somewhat slow. Now, I don’t particular care about on point service especially around this neck of the woods but I do feel that we should have been checked on more often than we were. I do understand that there were quite a few people eating around us that also needed the attention including another long table filled with people just like us. But there is no reason for 4 waitresses NOT to be able to handle that and a few more folks dining. The times that the waitress did come to check was to… A) Take my drink order B) Take my food order(A DIFFERENTWAITRESSDIDTHIS) I ordered a Beefeater Gin & Tonic($ 8). I asked for EXTRALIME. It came with 1 wedge. I had to waive the waitress down with whom I had placed the order to and the wedges came on the second trip 5 minutes later. Could have all been solved in one trip… JUSTSAYING. Eventually, I decided on food even though I wasn’t going to order until my whole table decided to order. My order was the New England Clam Chowder($ 6.50) which was also the soup of the day. It was good but portion wise was smaller than the portion that you would get from say a Hale & Hearty Medium cup of soup. It did come in a wider, larger bowl which definitely did not fool me. For what it is, it was okay. ADDITIONALNOTES — I did eye dish that I smelled delicious searing over an iron pan that was served in that fashion. I probably should have ordered that. But if I do come here for food again, I’d definitely search the menu for that.

Just a place to get a drink in the neighborhood. Small drinks, high prices, bad food & subpar service. They survive on proximity alone.

I only went to this place to meet someone so all I had were a couple of drinks. The beer was cold out of the tap, the food looked OK, but nothing special, and the waitress took my friend’s wine away before she was finished. There was nearly half a glass left and when we said something about it she wasn’t given another glass. That kind of ruined this place for me.

BEEEERRRRRHHEEERRRREEEE! *Freaks & Geeks* $ 9 for a draft. hmm next time I’ll have to come during happy hour. Calamari is okay, relatively fresh and not too chewy.
