Sweet mix of well curated pieces. The local artists’ kinda venue, for shoppers and sellers alike. Sales people are friendly, and you’ll find yourself staying longer than anticipated, lingering over the unexpected and vintage looking pieces of jewelry along side shiny trinkets, key chains, woven bags, and glass bottles for love notes to be thrown in the sea(but not, since that wouldn’t be eco friendly). Great place for stocking stuffers and holiday/bday shopping. Easily find truly unique and real(silver/gold) pieces of jewelry for your darling to treasure too(though slightly over priced).

I stumbled upon this cute store one day while eating in Chinatown. I was intrigued as it was completely not Chinatown-like and had to go in for a look. I’ve been there a few times now and I think this place is absolutely adorable. I am most drawn to their candles, jewelry, and my boyfriend loves their ties. Lee and Tyler were very personable and helpful through the visits and create an enjoyable shopping atmosphere. I know I’ll be back soon!

Though I’ve been in this store shortly after it opened, my visit here today was enchanting because the owner, Lee, was there to guide us through her curated collection of vintage jewelry. She chooses charming pieces with just the right amount of shimmer and tweaks them if they have lost their practicality. I got a cardigan clip and a fur clip that can be worn as a hair clip. My friend got a locket on a chain. There are pieces in a variety of price ranges so you never have to leave empty handed. Lee, herself, is a jem; a designer with a practical side and a strong bond to the Chinatown community. This place is the perfect place for bridal jewelry and I will definitely be back.

I had just finished my haircut on pell street when I noticed this cute new shop on Mott street. As a person that likes to buy trendy jewelry generally at forever 21/h&m etc I never spend too much on jewelry. However, I don’t mind spending a little more on something classic and well made. I was pleasantly surprised to come across some nice quality items in the store. The associate talked to me a bit and tried to sell me a candle without being too pushy. Their candles all smell really good but candles just aren’t my thing. After looking around for a few minutes I ended up buying a basic brass bracelet for under 25 bucks. I had been eyeing similar bracelets elsewhere(madewell, j crew) but was not willing to pay their prices. So happy with my purchase. Been wearing it every day. Definitely going back when I’m in the area. It’s nice to support small businesses :)

Pros: * A purposely random and surprisingly pleasant gem hidden in the heart of Chinatown. I was taken away with the exquisite and thoughtful curation of beautiful and eclectic antiques, jewelry, and accessories that range from rock mineral bookends, sea glass bottles, to elegant white-beaded clutches. * While I loved every item in Uniqulee… I was especially drawn to the aged books, bags made out of actual vintage Swiss Army blankets, Chinatown grocery bags made out of leather and hemp, and glass piggy bank. * Staff is sweet and friendly. You can tell how the passion and taste of owner Lee Chan is reflected in the thoughtful and careful presentation of the objects she collected on her worldly travels. Because this is the kind of store that you would only expect to stumble upon in NoHo, West Village, or Williamsburg(with steep prices to go along with it), I believe that Uniqulee can stand out, attract customers, and thrive in a bubble where people mostly come for cheap eats, kitsch, and counterfeit goods.

I’ve gotta say, this is a lovely little shop in the heart of Chinatown. I happened to find this place after getting a haircut on Pell Street. I browsed the store but didn’t buy anything. Then a few days later, I had to get a gift for my daughter’s after school teacher and knew this was the perfect place. I ended up getting her a thin silver ring. Unfortunately, the ring snapped in half after only two weeks of wearing it. At first, the store was unwilling to exchange the ring for a new one, stating its return/exchange policy was two weeks. I explained that I didn’t want to return it. I just wanted to replace a defective ring. After some back and forth, the store finally said it was OK to exchange it for a new one. So kudos to them for recognizing the importance of customer service! I wanted to give a shout out to Tyler, who was incredibly helpful, warm, and wonderful when I went in to get a new ring. I ended up buying a more expensive one because they didn’t have my original purchase in stock. In the end, everyone was happy, and it all worked out!

If it weren’t for the hard-selling salesperson, this place would get more stars. Like other Unilocalers said, this place definitely sells a lot cute and unique items and I personally love antique/rustic stuff. However, this store is somewhat out of place. I was shocked when I walked by and in my mind, this store belongs more to the neighborhoods of Soho/Noho; not in the heart of Chinatown! It’s truly a sign of how much Chinatown has changed over the past few years. I feel there are very few remnants of the Chinatown that i once remembered. Anyway, I walked into the store because I was curious and i was eyeing this jute market bag with leather handles, supposedly supporting a Bangladesh project. It was cute in my opinion but not cute when the salesperson keeps egging me on to purchase it. He kept saying«oh it’s for a good cause» in a very non sincere way. Then when i was about to purchase it, he just wouldn’t shut up about oh how stylish it would look when i go grocery shopping with it. Thinking back, i shouldn’t have bought it but i had the intention to buy it anyway regardless whether he was there or not. but somehow he made the whole purchase experience so uncomfortable and annoying. He either needs to brush up on his sales pitch or look for another kind of sales job if he wants to go that far. not suited for a boutique shop.

A great place for unique pieces. Lee is amazing and has the most positive energy ever. She is very Attentive And Extremely Knowledgeable about her items and especially her clients. She presents her unique pieces to you with so much care and Enthusiasm. Each piece has its own story and history. I will definitely return. I love my carnelian red bracelet and plan to buy more pieces in the near future. This is THEEULTIMATE Place to discover in China town!

Love this place, sometimes I come in to just get inspired or smile. Perfection! It’s located in a cute neighborhood. Antique pieces, Art Deco, and an old school typewriter were the main items that caught my eyes. Worth a try to take a peak!
