The owners here are so tremendously nice. Since I’ve lived in the neighborhood, it’s obvious they are trying to spruce the place up, and increase the selection to meet the increase in demand. Sometimes there will be some people there buying small bottles of inexpensive stuff, but they are harmless and friendly. I come in with my (very well behaved) husky from time to time, and everyone is really sweet to her.
I’m in here every few weeks, and very happy to give them a good recommendation. It’s easy to want them to succeed because they really want to help you find what you want, and are just super helpful and kind.
If you are in the area, by all means stop by.

Astoria, NY
The owners are super-​nice, but the clientele leaves much, much to be desired. Hence the selection is poor, but it serves in a pinch when I want some cheap liquor or a 187 mL bottle of wine for the Metro North train.
