Val is amazing !!!, I had made a total mess to my hair and her coloring expertise saved me & my hair from total hair malfunction, she knew exactly what color I wanted and fixed the destruction I had made by «self dyeing «she’s professional & very courteous, her customer service was impeccable, I recommend her to everyone she’s has magical hands

Val is wonderful! She’s professional, personable, and great at what she does. I bought a groupon for full head of highlights & cut. She fit me in right before the holiday weekend. The studio is neat and organized. Val consulted with me beforehand and really asked questions to be sure she knew what I wanted.
I have short hair and she hand painted the back, which turned out very nice. I was her last appointment of the day and she took time to make sure the color & cut was perfect. I never felt rushed. The love the cut and get compliments all the time.

Val and her assistant Ruth are amazing! They know exactly what you are looking for and they are extremely professional! This might be my new spot! Will definitely come back here again! Oh BTW I had Groupon.

Wonderful experience. Enjoyed the new hairdo. I strongly recommend Ms. Valerie Arias. Shes wonderful with her hands and very creative. Ms Arias is very professional at her work and treats her customers with respect. She wonderful at offering her clients a wide variety of options when it comes new cuts and hairdos. I strongly recommend Valerie if u dont have a stylist. She is truly genuine at her work. I luv my new haircut. THANKS !!!

I don’t write any reviews but for this amazing true hair stylist I would, she is the best her work is magic I went from jet black hair to highlights then soon going to full blonde, Val is the only person I trust with my hair God bless her hands !

Val’s Studio is the epitome of what the new modern hair stylist is and should be. Valerie is a true professional and a craftsman at her trade. I normally don’t accompany my wife to hair stylists appointments (usually boring and uncomfortable) but I went with her recently and saw first hand how Valerie first «consulted» with my wife — she advised her to what would look best and the best part was that she gave her an accurate time as to how long it would take. I have heard stories of how other hairstylists who say «2 hours — that’s it» and the client stays there all day. Valerie told my wife the haircut and styling would take 1 hour. — 60 minutes later my wife’s long hair (length was up to her waist), was cut to her shoulder and styled to my wife’s specifications. I have to admit, I was not looking forward to seeing my wife’s hair being cut — HOWEVER, Valerie did a tremendous job! I Love it! She did an amazing job! And her price was incredibly reasonable compared to those over-​priced salons in this area! Needless to say, Valerie is now my wife’s stylist and she could not be happier.
My wife used to go to Drybar — which coincidentally is right next door to Val’s Studio — But I always used to hear her complain about the atmosphere (stylists all looked unhappy & were constantly bitching & complaining), the temperature was hideously hot (this Saturday we passed by there and instead of having the air conditioner on, they just had the door open), and there was no «personal service». At Val’s studio, Valerie gets to know her clients, makes them feel like family, the air-​conditioning is comfortable and you are made to feel like a VIP from the moment you step in!
I highly recommend Val’s Studio to anyone that is looking for not only a great haircut or a stylist BUT is looking for the specialized VIP service. I suggest that instead of being just another number or waiting around in muggy hot areas hoping to be next in one of those fast Hair bars… walk over to Val’s studio and be treated like you should be treated.
Soon Valerie has advised me that she will have a barber at the studio to take care of the men! I cannot wait! Because finally I have found a place where my wife and I can both be pampered at the same time!

The only girl I ever let touch my hair. Val is a dream come true my curls are always perfect. I retired the Dominican salons since meeting Val as she truly has magical hands. When she was busy recently I had someone do my hair and the outcome was disastrous. I won’t ever cheat on my hairstylist again.

Val is just amazing — she comes to my house weekly. Val is exact and a professional. She can do different styles, always time-​efficient, and at great value rate. Beats having to schlep to an over-​priced salon w attitude in the city any day. Oh, and she always has a big smile!
