Worst laundromat ever! I had my jacket dry clean and it came back shrink. I’m not sure if they washed it or dry cleaned it. Then I drop the blanket to wash and dry and repair and asked them to deliver it to my place. It’s been 3 weeks already and there’s no show. I called and asked them, they said they haven’t fixed it yet. It’s been freaking 3 weeks already! They put my order aside? Will never ever go there again!

W&G have been in the neighborhood for over 10 years and while many other businesses have come and go they’re still around… the place is a little small but for value, you cannot find a better deal… it has an old school feel to it and the owners are really nice… I have been dropping of my laundry there for the good part of almost 10 years and they always come back perfectly folded and washed and unlike other drop off services, they actually put enough softener that you can tell the difference… all in all a great little store… open seven days a week and now they take credit cards… highly recommended.

An unfortunate review, this one. I had this place do wash and fold a couple of times, dropped off and had clothes delivered. The service was fine and the price was reasonable, and I thought I had found a good laundry place that wasn’t going to change hands or shut down or suffer the same glitches that I’ve experienced at other place in the neighborhood. Too bad. A while back dropped off a load of laundry with a bath mat, four dress shirts for dry cleaning, a pair of slacks, you get the idea. The laundry came back, but the bath mat was missing. The slacks were missing. The shirts were missing. A few days go by, a week; I’m told they’re trying to track it all down. A month goes by, I leave the country, come back, the bath mat has come in, the slacks have come in. Fine. The shirts are missing. Gone, by their report. Fine, we can settle the difference, I say, let’s have the cost to replace the four dress shirts, which if you ever have anything dry cleaned, you know generally start at about $ 60 apiece. Well, no, I hear. Our maximum liability in these cases is 10x the cost to launder the shirts, which is $ 15, and we can double that, for $ 30 each. Oh, and we can provide that amount in the form of laundry services. Seriously, I reply? No, take the cash in hand, walk away, sit down and write it up. It sucks to tell this tale, but it sucks more to be out well over $ 100 in replacement costs that I certainly hadn’t planned for, just because of a defect in their process, over which I have no direct recourse. This review will, over a relatively short time, cost this business more than simply paying for the full value of the property that I entrusted to them and that they lost; cause and effect. It’s unfortunate. TL;DR: Don’t come here. They will lose your clothes and refuse to pay their value.

For the price you get what you pay for. They are great in terms of coming to pick up your clothes in a timely fashion, delivering it as needed folded and smelling good. CAUTION: You must be explicit about what will be dry cleaned, vs. what will be laundered. If you make a mistake and over look it. you will have damaged clothes. I’ve had a few dry clean items make it into my laundry pile and they don’t decipher if it should go or not. Things have come out too small, or shredded… My mistake, but I beleive they should use some judgement here. All in all. I use them an no others, because the owner is soo sweet, good heart, I see him on the street and say hello and they really try to do a good job overall. Cash or Personal check is accepted. It’s a neighborhood steal for laundry and dry clean– which he sends out.

I’ve passed this tiny, long established storefront probably thousands of times on my way to the subway, and it always smells good from the outside. This small, old-fashioned coin operated laundromat offers excellent and affordable laundry service. You can drop off your laundry at the laundromat or you can call and someone, usually the owner, will pick it up and deliver it to your house. Either way, wash & fold is about 80¢ per pound. Eight weeks of downright dirty laundry, self sorted, clean and folded ran $ 40, including a tip for the effort and kindness involved. Although my apartment building has cash-to-card operated laundry room in the basement, doing laundry on my own has proved to be a colossal source of frustration! The dungeon lair is more like a laundry casino, as the outcome of clean, dry clothes at the end of the laundry cycle is a bit of a gamble, and throughout the ordeal, I feel like a gangster, defending my triple loaders from illicit seizure, or protecting my socks from a kidnapping. Often, I’ve flushed close to $ 30 in such a venture, to return to the apartment with a cart full of wet, stinky clothes to hang and eventually fold. After my last excursion to the Coinmach underworld, I vowed I would only use laundry service. Two months later and several washloads wiser, I returned to W & G. He welcomed me with open arms. The owner of W & G is pretty much the Dr. Spock of laundry. He explained to me that«no one likes to do laundry,» and that cold water and low heat will prevent my blacks from fading. He runs the business very well, as I have noticed that it is usually only him and a woman who folds who work there during the day. He also does dry cleaning and alterations. Give them a nice tip and sort your clothes beforehand. They are cash only– maybe that’s why the prices are really good– and WELL worth it!!!
