I’ve been here three times and all three times I’ve tried something different. I’ve gotten the chicken burrito, steak burrito and the churrasco burrito. I have to say amongst all the burritos I’ve tried my favorite would have to be the Churrasco burrito. It’s packed with soooo much flavor and it’s deliciousness in every bite!

Eh, I was not that impressed… I placed an order that came back messed up. It lacked flavor… chips and salsa were not fresh… salsa tasted like it came from a jar… not impressed

This place was a fairly chill coffee house SLASH burrito joint. Mad weird, in Newark no less. It was filled to the brim with high school kids who were awkwardly hitting on their classmate who was our waitress. I got a fiesta burrito bowl and my girl got a teriyaki burrito wrap. Both with filling, but bland. Maybe the coffee is really good…

So my burrito was $ 5 and it was filling. Did it lack flavor? Most definitely. So, I wanted to grab something to eat before the Unilocal Elite Event in Newark(so I wouldn’t be going to an event hungry) and we popped in here for a quick bite. The quick bite wasn’t so quick. So not to be a hate-r but the place was being run by some young high school folks so their sense of urgency is at zero. The place is also more like this random coffee house where they have a little stage for live performances. So random. I liked it but, random. We placed our order — I went with the chicken fiesta burrito per Amanda D’s suggestion and my man went with the steak fiesta bowl. First, this place doesn’t have typical burritos more like Teriyaki burritos or burritos with yellow rice, a cheese steak burrito. Which is cool. My burrito came pressed, I’m ok with that, easier to eat that way. I did ask for guac on the side and they brought mustard? Ok, nevermind. It was decent. It needed lots of hot sauce. I want to add food imagery but I really can’t this time. There was nothing really to talk about it. It was food and wasn’t anything special. My man didn’t eat his bowl. The steak pieces were super thin and stringy, and he mentioned it was super bland. Not knowing the ‘hood, I don’t know the options. As a person who visits Newark once every few months I probably won’t be back and will look to find cheap eats somewhere else. Though I do admit, my $ 5 burrito filled me up and wasn’t bad, just not the best.

Visited this place, as it was reasonably close to where we were staying. It is located in a small storefront in what looked like a Brazilian area. The décor is kind of quaint, if not slightly aged. There was also a small stage like setting, where it looked like they provide live music. I had the mind set on a burrito, so really didn’t look at the whole menu. I ordered a, steak and chicken burrito, plus a side of maduros(sweet plantains). My wife, who as you know by now is a tad particular, did not care for her steak burrito, mine, however, was ok. No cheese on top, ala Richmond, rice, beans, chicken, a little corn and a side sauce. Can’t say it rocked my world, but it was filling and tasted ok. The maduros on the other hand were delicious. A little greasy, yes, but wonderfully sweet. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to visit here, but also wouldn’t avoid it if I were looking for a nicely priced burrito fix!

This place is nuts!!! I ordered take out for a delivery 1.3 miles away at the Fairfield inn at the Newark Airport for(1) burrito, and they were throwing out numbers saying the burrito would cost 20.00 plus tip for the driver? On their lunch menu the burrito special is only 6.99. These jokers are a real piece of work. I could only imagine the cost if I needed a delivery 2 miles away. .. So much for FREE delivery.

3.5 stars! This place is about 2 blocks away from Ferry Street in the Ironbound section of Newark. Me and my brother usually come here for a bite to eat on Saturday afternoons. Place is small and quaint. Food here is cheap and served in huge amounts. The burritos are massive and you’ll still have some left over. I usually order the chicken fiesta burrito. Burritos are hot pressed too, which makes them even better! Don’t be afraid to make substitutions! They will cater to your needs. My brother usually gets brown rice instead of white rice, etc. The only negative I see is that it takes them a long time to make the burritos. But I don’t mind considering it tastes like a homemade burrito instead of a processed burrito. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap, good food!

Wait was kind of long for just a burrito and a coffee. I think it took a while to make because they only have 1 foreman grill I think so it’s kind of slow. But the breakfast burrito I ordered(for dinner) was really good. I found the foreman grill marks super unappealing(just me) but the taste was good. Really big too and the price was great. I think they need to do something to get regular business(apparently they have live music on Friday so maybe it is busy then). They do deliver(for free) and I was able to find street parking without any issues(at 8 pm)). The staff was pretty friendly but the biggest issue was just the wait.
