This gamestop used to be great. Now it just sucks after they got rid of certain staff members. The new staff is really horrible and very rude and disrespectful. What kind of work environment is this when they don’t even ask if you need help with anything. They are too busy on their phones/​tablets to help anyone. Last but not least they need new management someone who knows what they are doing. NEVER in my life have I heard a «manager» just cursing up a storm when the store is packed with customers. I’ll be taking my business to a different gamestop or I’ll just order online idc if I have to wait for it. This place deserves zero stars!

There is a second Game Stop in Newark now. The new store is located on Ferry Street between Jackson and Van Buren. The other Game Stop is downtown on the corner of Broad and Market.
The two stores both have the same business hours — closing at 7pm Monday-​Saturday and 6pm on Sunday. However, maybe because it’s still new and doesn’t get as much foot traffic as the downtown location, waiting times on line are not as long. It’s a good alternative if you haven’t found what you are looking for (or if things are too cray) at the other location.
