I grew up in Newark and Lee’s was always a favorite. A friend of mine (who’s friend brought her chicken from Newark a few months ago) asked me to grab her some chicken while I was in Newark the other day. Obviously it had made a lasting impression on her and I’m a big fan anyway so I grabbed a meal for her family and one for mine as well. The service was fast and friendly (we went through the drive thru), and the chicken was as good as I remembered. The biscuits and chicken and noodles are also delicious, I’m only giving 4 stars though because they are slacking on those potatoes. It’s worth a visit.

Saw people touch chicken with hands, people couching around food. And had terrible service with a black women named Tasha, she was rude and inconsiderate and downright disrespectful to me and many other customers and the manager, Cheryl, did not care one bit about any of it. Called back later to formally complain, asked to speak to the manager and then got hung up on. Called back and got the manager and she did not offer to make it right she just said «I will talk to her» and then she hung up. Everyone in the store was very rude and disrespectful, and I saw very unappetizing things happening in the store.
