Wanted to find a pizza place with a variety of toppings & this was my first choice. After reviewing the menu online, I knew this was the place for locals such as me. The place is a hole in the wall, which usually means awesome food! The staff there is very friendly and had my pizza made to order. I usually order the combination, the pulled pork, and the garlic chicken pizza. I was definitely not disappointed in this place. The staff mentioned they will start serving alcohol so I guess in the future this will be my pizza place with friends.

Went out of myt way to come here to buy the girlfriend pizza because it had good reviews. The place was okayand pretty empty. Probably because it was around 4 pm. The service was good and found myself a coupon. The service was solid BUT they made me an incomplete pizza. The pizza was suppose to have tomatoes but they didn’t have any so they just made it without it. Of course the guy apologized but I should of been told earlier not after it was done. Also he should of done something to make up for it for customer service. But none. A pizza place skulls know the ingredients they have. But the pizza was still pretty good

* Welcome Experience — Outstanding Was promptly greeted by Tom who, as it turns out is the owner and very interested in his customers’ experience from what I gather in my only visit here. * Establishment — Encouraging This place is fun. It’s obvious the team here(or maybe just Tom) has a lot of individuality and want to be different and more interesting than just ordinary. I give Tom a lot of credit for the amount of events and activities he maintains in this place. From what I gathered on my only visit, this is a good place to catch a live band, have a private party or belt out some karaōke. Humbly decorated, interesting and different. * Service — Outstanding Tom got my test!(Well not on purpose) but whenever I have a «request» I’m always eager to see how an establishment chooses to handle it. (Like once I asked Totos pizza in Millbrae, CA for mushrooms on a quarter of the pizza — they said they can’t do that. I offered to pay full price. They said it was not about money, that they weren’t trained to do that hee hee. Wow.) Since I was with my daughter and we like different things I asked Tom if we could get a large with half Hawaiian(pic) and half all meat(pic). You know what Tom said? «Yes» and did so with a glad attitude! SCORE!(Thank you Tom!) We also ordered two soft drinks. Tom recognized that a pitcher would be less expensive and offered that! BOOM! How great service is done. There was a private party in the adjacent dining room and they were being loud. It didn’t bother us but Tom went out of his way to keep their door shut and apologize for the noise. Another checkmark in the outstanding service column. * Food Quantity /Quality /Presentation — Outstanding Finally REALLYGOOD pizza! The crust was FRESH, crispy on the outside, gluteny(not a bad word!) and chewy on the inside! The perfect amount of cheese and sauce and fresh vibrant toppings!(Take a look at the picture of the all-meat combo side! Perfect!) * Stuff that isn’t important but I felt it was worth mentioning Meh the napkins are the tiny self-destructing ones. I hate those. The soda was huge! It lasted through the meal with no refill required! Nice! * What I’ll remember Tom. He made it feel like he was happy to have us. And that pizza. Extraordinary! * What I can’t wait to forget Nothing! Looking forward to betting back there soon! Great job Tom and team!

I came here around 11pm to support a good friend and a band that was playing. I think their store is absolutely adorable and how they support bands to come and play. I didn’t get a chance to eat their food but I’m sure it would have been great. They also had a small pool table in the corner for customers to enjoy. You guys have got to drop by here, they host small events and there usually late night bands that play so you can enjoy live music!

This place is pretty hipster to me, haha. I came here around 7pm to meet up with friends for dinner. The wait to order pizza was extremely long, but we were occupied by the live bands that played in the dining room. I actually do not remember what pizza my friend ordered, but it tasted pretty mediocre to me. I doubt I will go out of my way to come back here.

This pizza place has a different taste to it, but a good taste! I usually get the pepperoni which has a very nice crust, and the right amount of sauce. The pepperoni also has a little kick to it. Ive also tried the pineapple and ham, which wasnt as great. It was just too much ham which made the pizza taste kind of salty and bleh. But ovver all I like this place and come here regularly.

They have live music. :) We stumbled upon this amazing pizzeria on Unilocal and decided to try it out. It was a weekday(Tuesday or Wednesday), and they had a live jazz performance. We tried the chicken fiesta pizza and boy! was it spicy. i think the sauce was made with tobasco sauce. but it was worth it. We gobbled it down in no time. definitely making this place a habit

I kinda like this place because it has all the ambience of a pizzeria you’d see in upstate NY or Pennsylvania, it’s housed in a «hole in the wall» type buidling, ran buy a local guy trying to feed his family, the employee was a multi tasker, pizza maker, cashier, order taker, bar tender, dish washer, and busser and all around great guy all rolled into one. It has character, something lacking in most businesses I see. the pizza was good, It has a good taste to it. This wont be for most people but it reminded me of «home» back east

I have been on a good run with finding good pizza joints and Love at First Slice is right up there. It is a great family run neighborhood pizza joint with live entertainment. The entertainment is a mix of local bands, karaōke and poetry reading. What’s not to like? Tristan who was working here was super friendly and makes great pizza. He deserves a raise, seriously! Great guy. Apparently he plays in a band as well. The pepperoni and margarita pizza were very good and disappeared quickly. The mozza stick were good and perhaps the next time, we will get the heart shaped pizza. It is also priced very reasonably and don’t forget to ask about the specials. I love the fact that they have live entertainment and am definitely going back for the pizza but to check out the local music scene as here. Note that the surroundings are not that great but don’t let that deter you, go check out this little gem.

We went tonight for the very first time and I thought it was just ok. The wait was pretty long.50 minutes, seems much longer than what you would wait anywhere else. The place was packed with eleventeen year olds running around and loud enough to the point that I had to yell across the table to talk to my lady. Lucky for us, we ordered to go. So, decent food, good price, long wait, loud ass kids about sums it up. May or may not go back there. For me, there are other places around that are better.

I’ve been looking for NY style thin crust pizza for ages and although this pizza is a long ways away from the chewy, yeasty– fold each slice in half Brooklyn style pizza, it is the closest thing and the best thing we’ve got in the Newark/Fremont area– IMO. I’ve ordered there a few times and I would recommend that you call it in and pick it up rather than dining-in as you’ll be sitting there for 45 minutes waiting– especially on busy weeknights. Pizza’s have good balance of cheese and toppings and you don’t get the thick doughy crust like most west coast pizza joints. We will order from Love at first slice again.

I have ordered pizza twice at Love At First Slice. First it has to be said, the pizza is amazing. The first time I called in the order and picked it up. Good price for an awesome pizza. If this was my only experience I would be giving them five stars. However, most recently we ordered from them through GrubHub and the wait was to be 30 – 45 minutes. It was a regular weeknight, not Friday. We ordered at 5:30 p.m. and at 8:00 p.m. still had not received our delivery. I would have blamed GrubHub but when I called the restaurant they did not answer the phone on two separate occasions. GrubHub, on the other hand, immediately responded to my online request and not only canceled the order but gave us a $ 25 credit. They tried calling the restaurant too and couldn’t get a hold of anybody. This warrants a 1-star review. Overall, three stars since we did have such a good experience the first time. So my advice is to call in your order and pick it up yourself.

This place has… A lot of character, mostly due to the full karaōke room(with stage!) and the really cool family that owns it. Really tasty artisan pizza with thin crispy crust! I gotta try the other ones next time! Soju cocktails. Yes, more than one kind. I had the margarita and if I was«going hard»(I wasn’t. I’m old) I woulda had everything else too. And did I mention karaōke? Just write a song on the piece of paper, they probably have it. Thanks for hosting there Anna D, I never would have found it on my own!

I wish I could agree with everyone else. My husband and I chose this place based on Unilocal reviews. However, we did not have a good experience. We ordered a medium half Garlic Chicken, half pineapple, jalapenos, & chicken. It took over an hour to receive the pizza. When I called after an hour, they stated they were not delivering tonight and then puts me on hold to check. It turns out it was on it’s way. When we received the pizza, they had the wrong price, although the driver said he’d go back and fix it. Secondly, the pizza was nearly cold. Next, the Garlic CHICKEN had NO chicken! Lastly and most disgustingly, one of the hot wings looks like it was eaten already!

Long live the neighborhood pizza joint! I had no idea that this place was going to be so popular when I came here on a weeknight to pick up a pizza. Check the webpage for coupons but I got $ 6 off my XL sized Chicken Pesto pizza. The XL can probably feed 3 – 4 people and it did not disappoint. I may get it next time without olives but otherwise, tasty! I also ordered the breadsticks too and I was amused to see that they cut up the breadsticks into small squares for sharing. That’s a pretty ingenious idea because the pre-portioning is already been done for you. Final cost for everything was under $ 24. Beer selections were standard with a few premium selections to choose from. As for the place itself, it isn’t the fanciest pizza place as the seating is spread out between the game room with the old school arcade games and the karaōke room where the stage takes up a big chunk of the floor space. I didn’t stick around for the karaōke as it seems a group had already booked most of the seating that night. I definitely will come back for pizza but will be interested to see and hear a bunch of locals and brave souls who are ready to belt out their favorite tunes! This probably will be my formal indoctrination into becoming a honorary East Bay peep… Song lyrics that I’d likely sing if I went up on the stage: I don’t need a whole lots of money, I don’t need a big fine car, I got everything that a man could want, I got more… than I could ask for…

We just finished a night of pizza, beer, and karaōke at this hidden little pizza parlor in Newark. The pizza, while somewhat pricey when compared to chain parlors, was beyond reproach. We had the thing crust artisan pizza and it stands up to any I’ve had in the fanciest places in San Francisco. Our only complaint(and the reason the place doesn’t get five stars) is the Karaōke Jockey. His equipment is terrible and singing resembles what you might find in a 50 gallon drum. To make matters worse, we had a group of 30+ people who came just to hear the singers in their group, and the KJ’s rotation allowed for maybe one or two of the group the entire night. We won’t go back for karaōke. Take the pizza, leave the karaōke. Only three stars for this one.

Dude. I love this place. Not only do they have an amazing karaōke system for such a small place, but the karaōke DJ, owner and the owners daughter are just amazingly sweet natured and down-to-earth good people. This little pizza spot is located in Newark and a bit off the main road, but so worth it. They have a 3 seperate rooms in this little joint for a game room including a pool table, ample seating for people in the main area of the parlor, and a huge room in the back where the magic happens for parties and karaōke night. With soju drinks, beers and damned good pizza, what else could you ask for? The week I went, they were serving pulled pork pizza as the special of the week. Pulled pork on a pizza? SOLD. Karaōke Thursdays. Amazing pizza. Soju for you. Live a little! Go now! :D

The boy and I love pizza, so we’re always down to check out new pizza joints. We decided to venture out to Newark, and we ended here! The restaurant is in a kind of run down plaza, and the parking lot was basically empty. The inside is kind of small, but it definitely had that pizza parlor vibe. The prices are on the expensive side, but the pizza was nothing special. I could be paying for the same price somewhere else for amazing pizza. We also ordered cheese bread. which turned out pretty tiny. And it came out on a paper plate, which in my opinion, is kind of jank. I used a lot of the marinara sauce with the cheese bread to make it taste better. You know what they say, if the main item is delicious, you don’t need to drown it with sauces! We brought in a coupon to use, but the employee that took our order didn’t even know about the coupons.(I kind of hate it when that happens!) But he did let us redeem it, so that was cool. And woohoo! Check in on Unilocal, and you’ll get a free large soda!
