The local bodega/greasy spoon/heart attack breakfast spot/deli/pizzeria that pretty much nails it every time. Great omelettes made to order with grits, home fries and toast, giant slices of pizza, Italian cheeseburgers… Not the kind of food you can eat every day but when you want the greasy spoon on a budget? You’ll be quite a happy camper. Friendly service, too.

DISGUSTING ! Be careful when you eat here people. YES their huge pies and slices may attract you but they are very unsanitary. I ordered a large pie buffalo half cheese. Ate some around 7pm by 5am I was vomiting my brains out and woke up with red marks all over my face as if it was a break out. I caught the worse virus of my life here. Please be aware.

This place and the people who run it are heartless human beings. The reason being because I was in there today and a lady came in and asked for water because she was feeling sick and the guy at the register gave her warm water instead of giving her a cup of water with ice. The lady drank the water and became more sick and the staff just did not care and they never offered her any help of any kind. The customer’s started complaining about how they wasn’t helping the lady and it’s there store and they could care less. So the customers helped the lady mind you she had her young son with her and they called the paramedics. Don’t eat here because if you start choking don’t expect no help from them because they’ll let you die.

Health warning! SERVEDFOODON A MOLDYBAGEL!!! I was given a refund but no apologies and the owner didn’t even look surprised. There was alot more wrong with this visit but if mold covered food does not turn you away then nothing I can say will help you.

The pizza was good but enormous. I wanted to order a full pie. I asked if they make smaller pizzas. The cashier said yes, took my $ 20 and proceeded to make a gigantic pizza. It was comedic. I could not walk through a door. Please beware of too much food.

We came during a busy time, and they seemed to be understaffed. It took a while for them to serve up the food we ordered, and several of the items had minor mistakes(a panini instead of a bread sandwich) that we could overlook. The food was really good, unfortunately they don’t serve calzones anymore, but their stromboli was quite tasty. The bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned and the garbage hadn’t been emptied in a while, probably because they were understaffed. Hope they can remedy that but I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in downtown Newark.

I like this shop they have the big slices without the high prices. They use Boars Head meats so you know you will get a good sandwich. Stop by and check it out.

This place has huge pizza slices that taste amazing. The breakfast is incredibly cheap(price-wise, definitely not quality-wise). They use Boar’s Head cold cuts so their sandwiches are just as amazing as their other items. If you’re in the neighborhood(Prudential Center is right across the street), I suggest you stop by and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Another run of the mill deli– standard sandwiches, regular pickles, greasy spoon breakfast sandwiches, and AMAZINGCALZONES. Seriously– the dough must be homemade and its baked to order, all crispy outside and just right chewy.
