Service is so slow and the store appears un-kept and dirty. Ran out of time in line. Decided to leave.

Placed an order online thinking that would save me time as I was heading to the Sharks playoff game and wanted to get there early. I get there and they say they have no record of my order. I was told the fax machine wasn’t working and it sounds like it hadn’t been for a while. So I had to wait and have them put my order together which took forever as the gal helping me was really slow. There was another guy in the back, but he never came out to help with the line that was quickly forming behind me. Overall the food quality was fine, but because they never rec’d my order, we almost missed the start of the game. I was stressed and rushed because they don’t have their act together. If you have mechanical issues, don’t let people order online and be frustrated once they get there! I don’t think I’ll be back to this location anytime soon.

Waiting in line for almost 15 minutes before I even got to the counter and there were only two people in line in front of me. One girl made sandwiches as slow as humanly possible and the other girl just sat in the back room while the line just kept growing. Have had the same issues in the past with this location. Its a shame because I like their sandwiches but I rarely come here because its always something. Long wait, out of bread, ingredients, ect. Too bad the other Newark location closed. I went there all the time with no issues.

This is probably the worst Togo’s ever. Every time I come here, my order is either messed up or they take FOREVER to make a sandwich or wrap. Even if there’s no one in line. I’ve even tried ordering a pickup online, waited 20 minutes to drive over there, and my wrap still wasn’t ready! I had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to help me then make my wrap. Oh! And no one ever seems happy to work there. Today we went there and the girl that helped us had no idea ho to make a pastrami Ruben.(The pastrami was over toasted, there was no sour kraut and NO thousand island wth right? I was so disappointed when I opened my sandwich after I got home. I guess I should have paid closer attention) I get she was probably new but it took forever. She kept having to ask«what’s on this» «how do I make that» to her co workers. That shows poor training on Togos part. Then she charged us for three chips when we only ordered two.($ 1.85/bag? Really?!). I’m pretty sure she messed up charging us too. $ 30 for two regular combos? I don’t remember Togos ever being that expensive. We were just so frustrated we left. It’s a shame how poor their service is. I used to work in union city and I NEVER had a problem at the one out there. They were always friendly and efficient. It’s almost worth taking the extra drive out there to avoid this place.

I am not the complaining type, and I am fan of Togos but the employee turnover here at this location is crazy. Every time I’ve come in the last 6 months(about 10 times) it is a completely new staff and they always seem like it is their first day. I give them the benefit of doubt and kept coming back to more of the same. I don’t blame the new employees, but they make some really crappy quality sandwiches due to lack of training . I feel like in have to teach them how to make the sandwich and repeat myself over and over. The owner must really suck due to all the employees leaving after a week and lack of training for them . Goodbye

Our company orders alot of your sandwiches there, and they are alway sloppy looking not what is ordered and the customer service is horrible. Very unclean looking inside and dirty, please try to have your employees improve there service, and how they all make sandwiches! All the other TOGOs I have gone to in the past have looked and tasted GREAT! Step up your store or our business will go else were, I’ll spread the word not to go there any more for several reasons i’m not posting too! Clean up your act! THX!

My husband went to the Cedar Blvd location on 2⁄27 at 8:30pm. A gentleman helped him. We were told his name was Sandeep although the woman who provided that info seemed hesitate to say it so I’m not sure how accurate that is. This employee took 18 mins to make two half salad/half sandwich combos. He complained the whole time. My husband mentioned how he likes that this location closes at 9pm verses 8pm at other locations. The employee responded with«it must be nice.» The employee also complained about another employee who did a no call/no show. He started making our pastrami pepper jack sandwiches and just put cheese and meat. My husband asked if he was going to put the thousand island sauce on it & toast in to which the employee replied that customers don’t like it toasted. My husband asked him to make the sandwiches just as they are on the menu. The employee’s overall attitude & demeanor is not one that creates a welcoming environment. He acted as if he absolutely hates his job. My husband worked for Togo’s in high school. He knows how an employee needs to act and that is shouldn’t take 18 mins to make our order! That isn’t even the end. At home when we took everything out of the bag, the employee didn’t even make our combos correctly. My salad was a Santa Fe salad. It only had lettuce, chicken and croutons(which are not even suppose to be in there) AND the incorrect dressing. We eat at Togos often as its next door to my work and our house. This was our first time trying this location since we were in the area & it was still open. We are extremely upset and feel like we paid for a negative experience and the incorrect food.

Horrible service. I ordered the boom boom pastrami and the lady asked if everything on it was fine. I said no tomatoes and peppers on white bread. She went to go heat up the pastrami and then came back and had to ask me again if I wanted everything on it and what type of bread. She finished making my sandwich and I asked her if I could have some extra sauce, she replies«which sauce». I tell her the boom boom sauce and ask her«Isn’t that what I ordered?“and she said no you ordered the number 9. She clearly was not paying attention the entire time. She remakes my sandwich, I get home to eat it and she put ZERO of the boom boom sauce on it. Ridiculous. She was way too concerned what her co workers were doing the entire time to even pay attention to the customer in front of her face. I will not be returning to this location.

Came here to get a large pastrami sanwich and guess what? They said they ain’t have no pastrami. How you not have pastrami? It’s like your main ingredient. You a sanwich shop. It’s like saying McDonald’s ran out of cheeseburgers and fries. Or Taco Bell ran out of tacos. But I never seen that. You should be ashamed of yourself. Zayam! I was hella wanting a pastrami sanwich too!

Besides from one worker there this place is pretty terrible, and I’ve given this place a couple chances to redeem themselves but it just didn’t happen. I came in one Saturday afternoon and there was a couple people in line ahead of me and it took me a good 40 minutes to finally get my sandwich. There were three people working, one was taking phone orders, one was helping customers, and one was basically aimlessly walking around looking like his head had just been cut off. Unfortunately the one that was actually helping customers, definitely looked like he hated the place, couldn’t even put a some what smile on and had some terrible customer service. I was just super disappointed. Not to mention that sandwiches are way over priced here. I usually get the Italian, but for how much it costs for a 6″ here I can go down the street to subway and get the same thing for cheaper and get more food. But I would have to say that Anita is probably the only reason that this place is still functional. She had greeted me as soon as I had walk through the door and was very attentative to what I wanted. Overall her customer service is phenomenal! The only reason I would come back here would be to get their farmers market salad.

This Togo’s is always out of ingredients and their soda machine rarely works 100%. I used to come at least 2 Monday’s a month for a large #9 for the past 5 years, but this place seems to be run by a bunch of monkeys now.

11⁄30 My favorite Togos restaurant was on Newark Boulevard. However they closed down. In the past I have not had too many good experiences in this Togos due to the staff. I was very hesitant to walk in today. However, there were new faces and the three gentlemen that were working this afternoon were very nice. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

— First time here & I ordered for my work. — We ended up ordering online & came, but they never got it. We walked in & immediately Anita came over to us & told us about our order. She explained that they’ve been having issues with their fax. One lady there didn’t care at all & was very rude while Anita got started on helping our order. Anita was quick, polite & gave us help right away. Our sandwiches were made prompt w/our names. She was a really good worker during lunch rush, thanks Anita for this! My coworkers & I enjoyed. — Check in on Unilocal for a free soda! — I will be back. The Club House toasted sandwich is the best!

I’m trying to be healthier so I ordered my sandwich as a wrap instead of having bread. Unfortunately when I got back to work to unwrap my wrap from all of the paper, I saw the ugliest wrap I’ve ever seen. Both ends were open. I’ve never had a wrap with both ends open but I tried to eat it anyways. Everything fell out of the bottom and made a mess. I’m not sure if that’s how they make wraps there or if the employee just doesn’t know how to do it. Either way, it’s disappointing because I usually like Togos.

Ordered online to make my pick-up easier. Got to store and they had no record of my order. Several people ahead of me so I wrote my order on a napkin. Soda machine down had to visit liquor store for drinks. Employees friendly enough got my order going as fast as they could. The store wasn’t very clean I guess it’s old and not kept up. Their corporate office needs to bump up their priorities as there are several sandwich shops to choose from nowadays.

I ordered a large pastrami sandwich this past Tuesday. There were three women making sandwiches, and a man was in the back room. I have an issue with the older of the three women. This older woman constantly rubbed her nose with the palm of her hand. She also used the back of her hand, as well as the back of her index finger. She did this while making sandwiches and/or packing sandwiches in a large black plastic container. All without using a glove. I emailed Togo’s customer service on Tuesday, and I have not heard from corporate. I believe that Togo’s doesn’t give a damn about the customers who purchase their sandwiches. This unsanitary practice should not be tolerated by Togo’s, but it appears that they are ignoring my request to look into this matter, and make the necessary corrections to fix this disgusting problem. I will not be a customer of this Togo’s(Cedar Blvd. in Newark).

Never fails, this is the best Togo’s in the Fremont/Newark area. I worked around the corner from this spot about 6 years ago and they always made my turkey and cheese sandwich just the way I wanted, perfect meat to cheese to mayo to veggie ratio. I stopped by last night before the game(because the Ultimate Deli was closed) and once again, my turkey and cheese was kickin. Love this Togo’s, never disappoint.
