Great pub feel that can be hard to find outside of bigger cities. We ordered the chef’s mac and cheese and a burger and both were spectacular! The wait staff was hilarious and prompt and had many great suggestions for our meal and desserts. As expected, their beer selection was great, focusing on local brews and IPA’s. The pub area is smaller so if you are set on eating there, make sure you plan accordingly to try to guarantee seating. I would recommend this restaurant to most everyone and am already planning my return trip!

Went here a couple weeks ago and forgot to post my review! Was in the mood for some really good nachos and came across this place on Unilocal. My friend and I went mid afternoon and sat at the bar. Server was very pleasant and came right over to help us. We decided to split the 2SP Stacked Nachos and they did not disappoint! Chorizo, pulled pork, cheese, crunchy chips, sauces, pico, beans, YUM! We cleaned the large plate! Will definitely be back to try other menu items! I did not drink but my friend got one of the specialty brews they had on tap and she really enjoyed it. They have a large selection of drinks.

We have visited this pub in Newark, and loved the atmosphere, the food and the beer. It was almost like I envision an ideal pub to be(whatever that is). I hear they are opening a location in Lantana Square, and I can’t wait! I hope it has the same charm as the one in Newark. I do wish they offered beer flights or samplers — the smallest draft I could get at the Newark location was 8 oz., and that limited my sampling to just two. They do have some great sandwiches, by the way.

One of the best pubs I’ve ever been to. The beer selection is awesome of course but the food is what really stands out. I usually try not to get too fancy when ordering at a new place but even the standard burger was delicious. I ordered a side of the sweet potato fries that come with molasses, brown sugar, and a vanilla bourbon crema sauce. That was hands down the best pairing I’ve had with sweet potato fries, which was surprising bc I’m typically a savory dip kind of gal. I finished the meal with the bread pudding which is served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream…’twas the best damned bread pudding I’ve ever had! If your in the area and don’t feel like the typical greasy fare on Main Street this place is worth the trip, even if it’s just for the bread pudding.

My foie gras burger had so much char on it(char not just a sear) that I couldn’t taste anything else. Big waste of goose, cow, and $ 16. I told the waitress but she didn’t do anything and just thanked me for being understanding. I can’t believe I paid for this.

So, I can’t let a bad day keep anything down. Went back and Kendall was the bartender. She is sweeter than a spoonful of sweet-n-low. Was another terrific meal and beer. Music was back to normal. 2SP is good for what ails you.

Very very good food! I am from Texas so I tend to be a little snobby about steak but their hanger steak plate was awesome. Everything executed perfectly. Thumbs up.

Really good pub food and a large beer selection. The Parmesan truffle fries and warm pretzels were delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich for my entrée. Really good, a little smoky and a nice kick at the end. My boyfriend had the froi gras burger and he loved it. Really juicy and the fig jam added a nice sweet and savory flavor. Both came with kettle chips. We came from New York and read the really good reviews so we stopped in for an early dinner. Staff was friendly and we deff enjoyed ourselves.

So good every time. And we’ve been several times. First heard about this place from Sam Calagione(founder of Dogfish Beer), of all people. Went to a book signing, talked for a moment about my husband’s home brewing, and he was all, «Hey, you two should try out Two Stones Pub! I’m going there for lunch» And when Sam tells you to try something, you try it. Phenomenal beer selection, knowledgable and friendly staff, delicious food(in fact, the Dogfish Brewpub in Rehoboth could learn a thing or two from Two Stones’ menu!). They kill it on brunch and dinner menus. Also pleased that more recently I’m seeing some great salads on their menu for when you’re not feeling a super heavy dude-food kinda meal. Seems they update the menu frequently, but here are a few of our fave menu items: + Hog wings + Brussels sprouts + Fish tacos + Any BBQ — short ribs, specials, etc. + Any brunch chili /mac + cheese /ridiculousness Have yet to make it to one of their beer pairing dinners, but hope to soon!

I’ve left a review before but felt the need to update it after my trip there last night. The food was amazing as always — tried a little bit of everything(wings, dirty kettle chips, pretzels and beer cheese). It was my first time trying a 2SP beer — the Galactic release — definitely one of my new favorites — I am looking forward to trying more 2SP ! What I really wanted to commend them on was the service. When we pulled into the parking lot we could tell it was packed. When we walked in we got what appeared to be the last two seats in the place. Most places I would have left at that point but I am glad I stayed ! We had the attention of a bartender right away who stayed attentive all night and our food was out surprisingly quick. These guys really know how to handle a packed house.

I stopped in this location as I am a fan of the Wilmington location. The crab dip is great in both locations. I tried one if the sandwiches today — the turkey Cobb — but was a bit disappointed as the bread was wet from the lettuce and the turkey tasted like deli turkey. The guacamole on it was flavorful and saved the sandwich. I won’t be ordering that again. Dessert was very good — the bourbon bread pudding was buttery had great caramel tones and a scoop of ice cream. The coffee was very fresh. Service was very good. High top tables are in the bar in front. Low tops are in the back. There are tvs all over and it’s very dark inside. There are plenty of beer choices as usual. Great place to go and watch a game,

Being from LA, I have pretty high burger standards. This bar/gastropub served up an impressive combination: Foie Gras Burger — a big, juicy, perfectly rare burger, topped with a tender seared slice of foie gras, a couple strips of bacon, Gruyère cheese, and a requested add — a side of pork belly. Hefty, meaty, greasy(good), yummy! It comes with a choice of fries or other stuff, so we chose the sweet potato fries, hot style — which means it was topped with cheese, bacon crumbles, green onions and a hot sauce. A little heavy on the hot sauce, but good fries — and nice that you can get a smaller version of their big fry piles as a side for the burger. Service was friendly, & we tried a couple of the beers on tap(Flying Dog Gonzo!). Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a big, satisfying burger, & a bar atmosphere. Their cheese plates look good too :)

If I say the phrase«strip mall in Newark, Delaware,» what sort of picture does your mind paint, and what kinds of businesses do you expect to find? An auto parts store, a tattoo parlor, the ubiquitous Subway, maybe a dumpster out back with shards of broken 40oz. bottles of malt liquor? OK, I threw that last one in, since it’s what I expected, but the rest is spot on. Don’t blink as you survey those stereotypical sights or you’ll miss the tiny nondescript bar at one end, camouflaged to blend in with its surroundings like a toad in a pond. Take a leap of faith, though, and enter the bar. Notice how the walls are covered in beer swag, signs and stickers and tap handles. Notice the fridge behind the bar full of Mikkeller, Trappistes Rochefort, and other exotic beers. Notice the two-page draft menu with saisons and IPAs and stouts from all over the country. Your faith has been rewarded. Whether or not this place qualifies as a «gastropub»(a term I’ve never heard anyone define to my satisfaction) is another story. Sure the food seemed to be a little nicer than your average pub choices, but my chorizo tacos weren’t life-altering and the parmesan truffle fries would have been better off as shoestrings instead of the thick slabs they used. I’m willing to admit that I may have just ordered wrong, but I wasn’t entirely wowed. Maybe Delaware is famous for its strip mall craft beer shrines and I’m just finding out about it now. Or maybe you should just swing by this place if you’re looking for a no-nonsense bar that serves some of the best beer around and some decent chow to go with it.

I cannot believe I have waited this long to write a review about Two Stones! 2 of my favorite things in life: good beer and good bar food. So when I stumbled upon this place a year ago, I knew I would be a frequent customer. What works out perfectly for me is that Two Stones sits equidistant between 2 of my favorite disc golf courses. So any time I am in the area to play a round, coming here is a must. I will admit that I drove here in the past(45 minutes from where I live) just to eat. This place has an extensive draft beer menu that is constantly rotating. The bartenders are more than willing to let you try something before you order! What really gets me though is the food. I have a thing for nachos and homemade pretzels, and it just so happens that this place does both of these right. Never in my life have I tried nachos that are more delicious than these. Cheesy, messy perfection. The pretzel is right on point also. They serve it with house made mustard and cheese sauce. Mmmmmm carb overload. The sandwiches are wonderful too. The shrimp po boy is one of the best, if not the best I have ever had. My boyfriend was slightly addicted to the fois gras burger for a solid 2 months. Really everything here is amazing. We also tried the Kennett Square location, and it was just as great!

Here’s the go to place in the Elkton area. The menu is full of tast and eclectic choices. It’s small and unassuming exterior opens into a fun joint with busy happy waitstaff and a great crowd vibe. You can make s small plate meal from the appetizer menu with lots of creative choices. I will definitely return whenever I’m working in the area.

I’ve just returned from a trip to the area, and had the opportunity to eat and drink at Two Stones twice during the week. Both times the places was fairly packed, but we had little wait which was nice. It’s not that large a place, so it looks like it can fill up quickly. Each meal I had was delicious. BBQ Meat Loaf the first night was moist and hearty, and we had started with some really good crispy brussels sprouts which really got us excited for our meals. Second meal was short ribs, again very hearty and tender. I loved ‘em. The beer selection is ridiculously interesting, although heavy on strong beers so be forewarned. I got to sample quite a few beers I have never seen before, which is always a treat. Lastly, both times we had great, friendly service. In fact, the second night I was alone, and ended up having a nice conversation with Carol, my server. That’s what pubs can be if they’re lucky — places where everyone, including travelers, feel welcome and at home. Two Stones is doing it right.

This is my second Two Stores(does that make it four stones? lol) and this one is just as good as the one off Naamans Road. There is a «front» room that has tables and the bar and they have a «back» room that is just tables. I was seated in the back room as I specifically asked the hostess for a table near a power outlet. Great beer list and a really good variety of food choices on the menu plus a changing list of specials. I wanted«healthy» and so I went with the pan-seared salmon, which was served with some steamed spinach and other veggies on top of a mile of mashed potatoes. Very tasty, I ate the whole thing and nearly licked the plate. Yep, that good. Service was good, the food was hot and tasty, and the restaurant was comfortable. I would return!
